More About Swapping the Gardens

Wednesday’s blog was all about the old vegetable garden and how it’s going to be swapped with, what has been, the cutting garden.  We Frenchies decided to cruise down to that garden and check on the progress.  This swapping of gardens is quite a production!

Supervising the Plants Again!

We had such a beautiful Easter with so much great holiday decor.  In addition to all the fun bunnies, eggs, and baskets, there were gorgeous plants throughout the house, which were brought from the greenhouse.  I happened to catch Ryan as he was removing the plants yesterday.  I always like to supervise this job.

We Frenchies were looking through some old photo files and we came across some great pictures of rabbits that were on Martha’s TV show a while back.  Seeing that Easter is this weekend, we would like to share these adorable and fuzzy creatures with you.  We would also like to wish everyone a very happy …

After our last visit with the donkeys, we continued on down to the stable where there was much activity going on.  Linda, the farrier, was visiting, working on the horses’ spring shoes.  And Meindert was all saddled up ready to go out riding with Betsy.

Walking past the car port the other day, we were quite surprised to see that the beehives were in there.  Beehives are supposed to be outdoors near flowers.  After investigating, we were quite concerned by what we found.

Yesterday it poured all day long and we Frenchies couldn’t exactly play outdoors.  We did want to get out of the house so we jumped in the Kawasaki and drove to the stable to see if there was anything going on.  We were happy to see that there was.

We Frenchies were wondering what the farm crew has been up to, so we took a little walk to find out.  It’s so nice to think that winter is nearly over and that spring chores have begun.  However, more snow is expected today and that does not make us happy.

After we toured the seedlings growing in the greenhouse, we found Ryan busy at work in the headhouse.  Ryan was carefully separating tiny seedlings and replanting them in individual plugs.  It was quite fascinating to watch.
