Exploring the Stable Kitchen

Exploring the Stable Kitchen

Not too many people know about the kitchen located in the stable at the farm.  The stable is such a beautiful building and Martha likes to use it from time to time for entertaining and having a kitchen right there certainly helps.  The door to the kitchen is always closed, keeping out the barn dust, …

We, Frenchies, wanted to catch Martha’s TV show the other day, so we turned it on in the kitchen.  Much to our amazement, we saw three reindeer enter the set, pulling a big gift sled!  But, upon further inspection, we realized they weren’t reindeer at all.

You may recall the other day, when we donned our rain jackets and went outside to face the dreary day.  After we realized that it was perfectly normal for the bald cypress grove to be dropping its foliage, we wandered a bit further towards the vegetable garden.  Here’s what we found.

Inspecting the Bald Cypress Trees

Yesterday was not a nice day at the farm, as it was rainy and chilly.  We, Frenchies, needed to go outside and I had to find our warm rain jackets.  While we were outdoors, Sharkey and I became concerned about a grove of trees and made an inspection.

The Frenchies Want to be Show Dogs

It’s beginning to be clear that I, G.K., have the makings of a true champion.  I’m breaking into the dog show circuit and I’m winning!  I was watching Sharkey and Francesca the other day acting very strangely.  They seem to have a misconception about what really goes on at a dog show.  I think Karen …

Now that G.K. is a champion and brought home his first blue ribbons, he’s off to Syracuse, New York for another competition.  His breeder, Karen Tracy of Pazzazz Chows, and his handler, Jan Kolnik, came to the farm yesterday to chauffeur our Ghenghis Khan to hopefully, another win.  We’ll keep you posted!

Have you ever had the olfactory experience of smelling the fruit of the ginkgo biloba tree?  Let us tell you something – even for us, Frenchies, who like funky aromas, from time to time, that fruit is pretty rancid!  We’d love to know what you think about it.
