How Annoying is Vivaldi?

How Annoying is Vivaldi?

Posted by Sharkey

It was a beautiful spring day and we were all outside enjoying the warmth of the sun.  I was just zoning out, relishing the quiet solitude, when all of a sudden, Vivaldi the cat, started acting very strangely.  I just don’t get cats.  They’re either totally aloof or totally in your face.

A Romp Around the Farm

A Romp Around the Farm

We, Frenchies, have noticed that when Martha posts a blog about the farm, she gets a lot of really nice comments.  So, we decided to try that out on our blog.  We took a little romp around the farm to show you how things look from our perspective.  Please enjoy and let us know what …

Check Out What's Growing in the Cold House

Check Out What's Growing in the Cold House

Posted by Sharkey

In our ever-present quest for adventure, Franny and I wandered over to the cold house, where vegetables are planted right in the very fertile ground.  It’s always interesting to see what is growing there and sometimes I wish that I could actually eat the stuff.  However, I am told that people are people and dogs …

Exploring the Hoop House

Exploring the Hoop House

We, Frenchies, noticed that the hoop house’s door was open the other day, so we decided to go in and have a look.  Voila!  That’s where all the beautiful tropical plants that grace the sunken garden have been stored for the cold months of winter.  We love those tropical specimens and we can’t wait for …

Swinging is a Blast!

Swinging is a Blast!

We were out and about with Uncle Carlos the other day when we came upon a playground, which had swings for kids.  Franny and I started wondering, why should kids have all the fun?  Why not dogs, too?  It turns out that swinging is a blast and Franny even started reciting poetry.  I think I’ll …

Hard Work Pays Off

With the arrival of spring, there are so many chores to do around the farm.  You probably know by now that Martha likes to blanket the farm with burlap to protect things from the wind and cold.  Sharkey and I like to help out by removing the burlap from the boxwood hedges.  Come and see …

G.K. Explores in the Snow

G.K. Explores in the Snow

I suppose that when you are a puppy, there are many things to get excited about.  Sharkey and I keep forgetting that for G.K., the world is a totally new place and that things, like snow, are something of a phenomena.  It’s amusing to see his enthusiasm.  It’s kind of infectious, actually, and I have …

Sharkey and I have been writing this blog for 48 weeks and in all that time, I don’t think we mentioned that we are excellent pianists.  Did you even know that Martha has a piano?  We, of course, have a strong preference for French composers.  The other day, G.K. was entirely too rambunctious and I …

Hopping on a Ski-Doo!

This past weekend, Franny, Ghenghis Khan, and I traveled with Martha and Uncle Carlos up to the beautiful state of Vermont.  Martha wanted to visit a place called Viking Nordic Center to learn about grooming trails for cross country skiing.  While she was having a lesson about that, Franny and I decided to go off …

An amazing cookie

An amazing cookie

Wandering around the house the other day, I happened upon a most amazing cookie.  I called Francesca over to have a look.  It was so finely decorated and it reminded us of a photo we once posed for.  Apparently, someone copied that very same photo in icing!  Very awesome indeed!
