Visiting Martyn, the horse

During the holidays we went with Martha down to the stable, where we found Martyn.  The other Friesians were outside playing and we wanted to keep Martyn company for a while.  He is such a great friend and a beautiful horse.

Waiting for Santa

Waiting for Santa

We Frenchies were so excited for Santa to come.  We heard that he had some wonderful surprises for us.  We decided to get dressed in our Santa hats to wait for his arrival.  We discovered that waiting is really no fun at all.

Searching for the perfect Xmas tree

Sharkey and I went on an outing the other day in search of the perfect Christmas tree.  We were looking for a live tree because we enjoy the fragrance so much.  This year, Martha only put up tinsel trees and feather trees in the house.  When searching for a tree, it’s important to choose one …

We want to be Rockettes!

The last time we went to Martha’s television studio, we met some of the Rockettes, those famous dancers from Radio City Music Hall.  They made an appearance on the show.  Sharkey and I met them backstage and they were all so lovely and friendly.  Of course, being adventurous Frenchies, our imaginations went a little crazy.

Yesterday, Franny and I were outside playing when we heard a lot of banging noises coming from the stables.  It’s always a good idea to check these things out, so we trotted on down there.  You know how curious we are.

The First Snow

The First Snow

Last Saturday night, we had our very first snowfall of the season.  It wasn’t very much snow, but it was quite pretty.  A thin blanket covered the farm and Francesca and I headed out for a little winter adventure.  We’ll be sure to show you more snow pictures the next time it falls.

Behind the scenes of a TV shoot

Thursday was really busy at the farm.  Martha was home that day, but instead of relaxing, she was hard at work, as usual.  There were photo shoots going on for the magazine and the TV crew was there for some gardening segments.  Here are some photos from behind the scenes of the television shoot with …

Thanksgiving with Martha, Kevin, and Alexis in NYC

We Frenchies hope you all had a very pleasant Thanksgiving.  Martha decided not to cook dinner at home this year.  Instead, we went to New York City where we met up with Kevin and Alexis.  We spent the whole day walking and sightseeing and visited many friends.  It was fun and quite an adventure.
