A Visit to Krupski Farms

A Visit to Krupski Farms

On Wednesday’s blog, we told you about the South and North Ferries at the far eastern end of Long Island, which is a wonderful way to travel back and forth between the South and North Forks.  The north fork is Long Island’s agricultural center.  The vast majority of Long Island vineyards are here, as well …

Our Ferryboat Adventure

Our Ferryboat Adventure

As you know from reading yesterday’s Daily Wag, we were at our home in East Hampton, Long Island last weekend.  As its name suggests, Long Island is indeed long and at its eastern end, the island is split into the South Fork, where the Hamptons are, and the North Fork.  Martha wanted to visit someone …

Admiring Martha's Orchids in the Greenhouse

Admiring Martha's Orchids in the Greenhouse

You may recall that our last blog was about thinning and transplanting the strawberry vines and we got kind of dirty with that task.  On our way to wash up at the sink in the head house, we passed through the greenhouse and stopped to admire the plants growing there.

Preparing for Hurricane Irene

Preparing for Hurricane Irene

Posted by F&S

It’s been all over the news that Hurricane Irene is working her way up the Eastern coast of the US.  Weather experts are saying that several factors could align to make this approaching cyclone potentially disastrous.  We, Frenchies, are very concerned about this and we’re really hoping that Irene loses her punch.  For those of …

The Laundry Room in Maine is not Only for Laundry

The Laundry Room in Maine is not Only for Laundry

Yesterday, we Frenchies blogged about a very muddy hike that we went on.  You can imagine, no one was very pleased when we returned home.  Of course, we were banished to the laundry room where we were scrubbed clean of all that nice dark mud.  Once we were spick and span, we couldn’t help but …

Filling in for Susie While She's Away on Vacation

Susie, Martha’s executive assistant at the farm in Bedford, is away on vacation.  Poor Susie!  She sure picked the wrong week to be on Long Island, because we heard that they received record amounts of rainfall!  Oh well!  Not much you can do about the weather.  Anyway, we, Frenchies, decided to help out and go …

Staghorn Ferns at the Farm

Staghorn Ferns at the Farm

Sharkey and I were headed outdoors to play when I stopped to look at the very interesting plants that hang on Martha’s front porch.  Martha has many kinds of tropical ferns growing in pots, but what caught my attention was her collection of staghorn ferns, which really don’t require pots or potting soil.

The Bone Appetit Seat

The Bone Appetit Seat

Since we blogged about our new homemade food we’ve been eating on Friday, we thought we’d continue with the culinary theme and show you photos of an amazing highchair for dogs.  It’s call the Bone Appetit Seat and it was a gift to Martha from Talin Lyman of Talin Tropics in Boca Raton, Florida.  It …

Homemade Dog Food For Us!

We Frenchies, and G.K., have been put on new diets because of some allergy issues.  We had been eating a mix of premium canned and dry food, but because our allergies persisted, Martha wanted to try something new and different.  After consulting with our veterinarian, Martha is now cooking for us and we love it!

Welcome to the Daily Wag!

Dear Daily Waggers,
We want to thank you all for reading and enjoying our blog.  Those who help us post it are taking a little rest this week and we decided to run a few from the past.  We’ll be back soon!
Bonjour, mes fans fervents et dévoués.  (For those of you who do not know French …
