Can Dogs Get Sunburned?

Can Dogs Get Sunburned?

Posted by F&S

Martha really takes care of her skin and one thing she always does is protect it from the harmful rays of the sun.  We, Frenchies, with fur covering our skin, are somewhat better protected than humans but, we can also get sunburned from overexposure.  We don’t worry too much about G.K. because he has that …

Fixing Poor Drainage at the Farm

Fixing Poor Drainage at the Farm

We, Frenchies, heard the hum of heavy machinery coming from somewhere on the farm and, of course, we went to investigate.  It’s always fascinating to see how problems can get fixed and sometimes, it really helps to bring in those machines!

It’s amazing how fast the gardens are growing now that the days are longer and the temperatures warmer.  We Frenchies think that if one stands still for a long enough period of time, one could actually see the plants grow.  Of course, who has patience for that when there are so many other things to …

Who Wants to be a Truffle Hunter?

Truffles, those mushrooms that grow underground, are one of Martha’s favorite delicacies.  In fact, she wants to plant a grove of the special trees that truffles grow beneath, so that she will have her own supply.  Last week, she asked Franklin Garland, of Garland Truffles, to come to the farm to help her decide where …

Well, we don’t know about your house, but ours is turning into an Easter extravaganza!  We’ve been told that Martha has invited a lot of parents and their children for Easter lunch and a good old-fashioned Easter egg hunt.  That’s going to be fun!

As previously posted, we Frenchies and G.K. went on a road trip with Uncle Carlos to Skylands, our home in Maine. It takes a good eight hours to drive there and it is a lot further north than our farm in Bedford.  None-the-less we were very surprised at what we found there!

With spring weather approaching, we Frenchies are taking a lot of road trips with Uncle Carlos.  On a recent visit to New York City, we met up with even more French Bulldogs.  It seems as though we’ve been encountering a lot of Frenchies lately!

Driving to Maine With Uncle Carlos

Now that spring is here, Martha is planning her visits to Skylands, our home in Maine.  Uncle Carlos had to deliver some furniture and carpeting and we, dogs, went along for the ride to keep him company during the long drive.

I believe that we, Frenchies, failed to mention that our brother, Ghenghis Khan, went off to yet, another dog show.  He’s been to so many and has won so many that we’ve lost count.  Anyway, this last time, darling G.K. actually wrote a blog letter to us, which we now post for your enjoyment.
