A good job for us

A good job for us

Posted by Sharkey

The other day, a very large crate was delivered to the farm.  Franny and I were looking for something to do when we spotted Gyurme outside.  We were so happy that he had a job for us and we especially loved that it required tools.  We, Frenchies, are very crafty, after all.

We Frenchies are always amazed by how many beautiful things Martha has throughout her houses.  Of course, nothing can match the beauty of what we see when we look in a mirror.  Ha-ha!  The other day, we were bouncing around on the furniture when we happened to see some gorgeous little boxes on top of …

Visiting Martyn, the horse

Visiting Martyn, the horse

Posted by Sharkey

During the holidays we went with Martha down to the stable, where we found Martyn.  The other Friesians were outside playing and we wanted to keep Martyn company for a while.  He is such a great friend and a beautiful horse.

We want to be Rockettes!

We want to be Rockettes!

The last time we went to Martha’s television studio, we met some of the Rockettes, those famous dancers from Radio City Music Hall.  They made an appearance on the show.  Sharkey and I met them backstage and they were all so lovely and friendly.  Of course, being adventurous Frenchies, our imaginations went a little crazy.

What is that noise coming from the stable?

Yesterday, Franny and I were outside playing when we heard a lot of banging noises coming from the stables.  It’s always a good idea to check these things out, so we trotted on down there.  You know how curious we are.

Alexis's new bathtub

Alexis's new bathtub

On Thanksgiving, we did so much walking around in New York City that my little paws were kind of sore.  Martha thought it would be a good idea to give them a soothing bath in Alexis’s new bathtub.  When I heard ‘bath,’ I kind of panicked, however, Martha was true to her word and it …

The weather was so nice the other day and we Frenchies spent a good part of it outside. The sun was shining warmly and we went to one of our favorite vantage points – The Great Wall of Bedford – right off the terrace overlooking the farm.

The other day, we were watching Gyurme, one of the Sherpas, who works at the farm.  He was busy taking down the screens and replacing them with storm windows, but he seemed to be moving a bit slowly.  We asked if something was wrong and he told us that after eating a big lunch, he …

Our friend, Piper

Posted by Sharkey

This is the story of a lovely 10-year-old mixed breed named Piper. She was adopted by Nancy Ashbrooke at the ASPCA in New York City. Nancy is the SVP of Human Resources at MSLO and we think she should open an AR division at Martha’s company (Animal Resources.) Because we have a fabulous online …

The Columbus Day Parade

The Columbus Day Parade

Posted by Sharkey

Yesterday was Columbus Day and there was the annual Columbus Day Parade held in New York City.  We Frenchies didn’t go to the parade, but, Luigi, one of our Italian dog friends did attend and was so excited to see some rare Italian dog breeds marching, and emailed these pictures to us.  Apparently, this was …
