Meet Sharkey

I was born on February 18, 2005, in Trappe, Maryland. While my personality is laidback and easygoing, I’m always ready for a good adventure. If I see something I need to chase, like a squirrel, for example, I’m out the door and across the field without hesitation. I also really love to intimidate the donkeys even though a kick from them would probably really hurt. Francesca complains that I’m much too spontaneous and daring, but I just really like to have fun. I think Franny believes that I’m just not as smart as she is, but she is a bit of a snob.

G.K. Steals the Show, Again!

G.K. Steals the Show, Again!

Posted by Sharkey

Perhaps you all watched Martha’s show when a bunch of us dogs got to wear Halloween costumes?  Well, I was expecting to be the star that day and I was very disappointed when G.K. stole the show.  All Martha wanted to do was focus on sewing his costume and I was just sitting there looking …

A New Doo For Meindert

A New Doo For Meindert

Posted by Sharkey

I really like to visit my pal, Meindert, one of Martha’s majestic Friesian horses.  When I was out helping blow leaves the other day, I got an idea that I really wanted to try out.  The Kawasaki was available so I got behind the wheel and drove down to the stable to pay Meindert a …

Clearing and Playing in Leaves

Clearing and Playing in Leaves

We don’t know what it’s like where you live, but here at the farm, leaves are falling like crazy.  Francesca and I were outside watching them float down to the ground when I decided to help with the leaf blowing.  Check this out and let me know if you like playing in piles of leaves …

In Search of the Perfect Cider Apple

In Search of the Perfect Cider Apple

Posted by Sharkey

Today on Martha’s blog, she posted about making apple cider again.  Franny was really interested in the whole process and thought that we should make some cider of our own.  I told her that I would pick the apples and wash them.  I found my favorite tree and picked a bunch, however, washing them was …

Franny and I were soaking up the warmth of the sun the other day when I suddenly realized something major was happening.  We, Frenchies, have had such an amazing summer and we hoped it would go on forever.  No such luck!

Blimp Over Bedford!

Blimp Over Bedford!

Recently, I was lounging out on the terrace when I looked up in the sky and spotted a blimp!  It was the first time I’ve ever seen a blimp so close.  I just couldn’t figure out why it was flying around Bedford.  So strange!

Helping Our Friends, the Donkeys

Francesca and I were running around the farm the other day when we heard our names being called.  Our pals, Clive, Rufus, and Billy were asking for our help.  It seems they were hungry for a snack.

Kitchen Surveillance Part Three

Kitchen Surveillance Part Three

Francesca and I were so successful nabbing Empress Tang and Princess Peony sabotaging Martha’s computer the other day by getting it all on video.  Don’t forget that we had other flip cams set up and now we have all the evidence we need to prove that we, Frenchies, are innocent of all these kitchen antics.  …

Kitchen Surveillance Part Two

Francesca and I told you the other day how we set up flip cams in the kitchen as part of our sting operation.  I think our French lineage can be traced to Chief Inspector Jacques Clousseu because we have proven ourselves to be superior sleuths!  Check this out and there’s even more to come!

If you read Martha’s blog, then you know that she was home one day, a couple of weeks ago, partaking in a photo shoot for her magazine, Martha Stewart Living.  I was going through our blog photos and I realized that Franny and I forgot to post about that day.  So, here it is – …
