Meet Sharkey

I was born on February 18, 2005, in Trappe, Maryland. While my personality is laidback and easygoing, I’m always ready for a good adventure. If I see something I need to chase, like a squirrel, for example, I’m out the door and across the field without hesitation. I also really love to intimidate the donkeys even though a kick from them would probably really hurt. Francesca complains that I’m much too spontaneous and daring, but I just really like to have fun. I think Franny believes that I’m just not as smart as she is, but she is a bit of a snob.

Close Encounters with Vivaldi the Cat

Vivaldi the cat is one sly fellow. He is always doing things to get under our skin. Just the other day, I found him all sprawled out on top of a nice soft pile of our clothes. Martha keeps our dog wardrobe neatly folded in baskets in a room off the kitchen called the servery. Franny and I wanted to go outside and play and when I went to get a couple of coats, guess what I encountered?

1 The perfect cat napping spot, right on top of Sharkey and Francesca's wardrobe. Nice and warm, even if it does smell like dog.

2 Do you think I care if I get my hair all over their cloths?

3 Hey, Vivaldi! What do you think you're doing?

4 We don't want your cat fluff all over our stuff!

5 Francesca! Vivaldi is napping on our cloths again!

The sport of donkey chasing

Regular readers of our blog know how much Francesca and I love to chase animals.  Yesterday, we were out and about and I realized that we hadn’t seen the donkeys for a while.  We located the paddock that they were in and I proceeded to have one yelping good time.  As usual, Francesca stayed on the sidelines.  Donkey chasing just isn’t her sport.
