Here we are sitting in front of a lovely portrait.

This is an acrylic on canvas and I think the artist really captured our expressions. I really like the neckwear, don't you Sharkey?

You're right, Sharkey. I look really young here. This is an early work. As Rebel was kind to point out in yesterday's comments, I've gotten a bit white around my mouth!

Let's not forget this handsome fabric art of our bud, GK. That's an amazing pillow!

  • Good morning,
Guess what? More snow tonight! Up to a foot or more. They showed on tv today there was a sign outside of a church that read, "To the person praying for snow, please stop".
    Hehehehehe
I can't believe hoe that needlepoint of Martha and you girls looks so much like a photo. Amazing. Really nest artwork. Thanks for sharing.
Martha, Miz Lu and Riley, I wanted to tell you that your post is on from the other day. Sometimes if you go back and check it out the next day, you will see it is there.
No Gold for Shaun on snowboarding, actually no medals for him. That was a bummer. I fell asleep before Westminster was over so I will watch the rerun tonight.
Stay warm everyone and think spring
    Love to all,
    Maddox

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
I don’t like today already and it’s still morning here. I was so excited when I saw the snow was back again. I ran outside only to find the grass was hard and crunchy. I tried to pick up some of the snow with my hood and throw it like I did before, but it was stuck to the ground. Not fair at all. It looks like snow but it isn’t. It’s hard water falling from the sky today and it sticks to everything. I didn’t stay out very long in that wet and hard stuff. Made a noise on my hood. Snow is fine but this mix of rain and sleet needs to go away.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • :-) F&S you two are muses, an inspiration for creating art! I love the cut out portraits, very original and creative... I wonder how many creative GS members we have!?
Hump day is always a bummer, it makes everything go by so fast for me.
Kitty is going crazy watching Chickadees outside visiting her sleeping hut...hope they don't think they can build a nest in there. She's just chomping at the bit to catch something :-(
Nothing much to report..just waiting for my Java to finish brewing...
Make it a wonderful day, enjoy it no matter what kind of weather...easy to say, but I'll make a point to get over the dreary day here ;-)
    Hugs,
    delia & Kitty =^£^=

  • Good morning ladies,
I love the portraits! Mimi was really tossed back off her chair by the needlepoint. WOW! It's really hard to chose a favorite. I kinda like the flannel cutout. But, they're all great.
Warmer temperatures on the way here, but we'll have some snow showers the next couple of days. I'm just dealing with it. Grandkids come over after school today to bake Valentines Day cookies, yummm. Bekah will take care of old Rebel here with an "oops".
Oh, the bloodhound that won the hound division was born in St. Joseph, IL. Just a few miles east of us. He sure has long ears!
    Have a great day everybody.
    Your pal,
    Rebel

  • Hello Girls & all my Glue Squad Buddies,
This is fabulous seeing some of your portraits. Did Mama Delia do any of these? She is the most gifted artist we have ever seen. There is a portrait of my guardian angel, Basil, that we had her do for us after his passing. Mom and I talk to him every morning and tell him the goings on.

And do we know what day it is? Yep, it is Hump Day. I know you are taking over Missy for our Zoe, in naughtiness, so up and at 'em and tell what day it is too!!!! I haven't seen the camel guy for awhile. I miss him.

Boy, oh, boy, is the south in the news. Ice storms again Kirby. I know, you want snow and not ice. And this border confusion in North and South Carolina. This does not sound fun!!! Speaking of states, have you heard how the bad radiation levels from Japan's nuclear mess went to Hawaii last year, and now this year the fruit in California is 500% higher than last year in radiation levels. I guess if you eat bananas and oranges from CA. you glow in the dark. This is coming from the waters which will soon go to the rest of the states. Don't swim in Hawaii or you will glow too. Those poor fish. Enough on the soapbox for today. Did you all see the handsome dog with the mustache that won the Westminster? Next year The Mighty Glue Squad will be present and roaring for Karen and her Chow to win. THE HAPPENING is happening. My Mom who never flies, will even be there with bells on. Laura you need to get Martha ready for the invasion of the Glue Squad. Can we meet you and Mama Martha and Ron and.....????? We are a slush mess, 50's and 60's.
Have a GEM of a day all.
    Love and licks,
    Ruby

  • Cute is right! Such talented people lurking about! :)

I'm lucky if I can draw a stick figure! :)

I do like them all, however the glittery looking one with the 3 of you is eye catching!

Here's to all the artistic folks! :)

  • Good morning Ladies and Glue Squaders!
We loved all the art work. Your fan club certainly is talented. We could not believe the needlepoint was not a photo. Amazing.
Well, we are happy for the doggy who won Westminster, but we really, really wanted the Blood Hound to win. We liked him. A lot. Of course, no one asked our opinion....as usual.
We are missing all the mess in the south this week. Our temps are suppose to be in the mid thirties today and -- get this -- above freezing on Thursday! The weather guy says that will be the first in 2 weeks. The sun is bright and looks great.
We are not looking forward to the thaw. We don't like the mud and muck. Oh well.
Gotta go.....we have some really great biscuits that just arrived in the mail...YUMMO!!!!
    Pugs and sunshiney kisses,
    Brutus and Max

  • It would be nice to know the artists names!!!

  • Hi Y'all from the Snowy, soon to be Icy NC.
Love the art girls. These are awesome especially the needlepoint! Mis used to have a flare for all things crafty but she can't seem to find the time anymore. Maybe soon!
Kirby and any others that live in the southeast, please be careful. It is totally dangerous out there today and only getting worse here. The roads are already becoming impassable and we haven't even got to the nasty part of this storm with the freezing rain and ice. We have about 4" of snow already and it's coming down hard. We're getting everything ready for when we lose power, so this may be my last post until Monday.
    Stay safe and warm everyone!
    Dixie Boy
PS, Me and George are butt vrooming up a storm!!

  • F&S - Where are these wonderful works of art kept? Are they on view somewhere at the farm or at MSLO?
Thanks for letting us see them!
