Ghenghis Khan, The Intrepid Explorer!

Posted by Ghenghis Khan

I Ghenghis Khan, have posted my very own blog today!  So many of you Glue Squadders are complaining about the snowy weather.  But, not I!  I love the snow and the other day, I took myself on a little adventure.

I'm off to become a great explorer, like William Robert Perry. I'll be heading into uncharted territory. Follow me on my journey of excitement and discovery!

  • GK you like snow? Well, I'll be glad to send you the pile I have in the yard! :)

I appreciate your love for Winter playtime, but this gal is tired of it already!

Luckily, your furry coat keeps you warm!

    Happy Monday to all!

  • Good morning son,
I have to be honest here, I enjoy the posts that Francesca and Sharkey put on for us. They are very educational and creative. However, my favorite is when I open up the DW page and there he is, my handsome son. It warms my heart You get better looking all the time, just like your dear old dad. Hehehehehe.
Karen has to go out to shovel snow AGAIN but she wanted me to tell you when she saw your blog today she got a tear in her eye. She said you look absolutely magnificent and she misses you very much. She said maybe when the weather warms up a bit you can come for a few days to visit. I would like that too son.
By the way, no leash? You are free ranging? Good boy. Just stay on the property and they might let you run free on a regular basis. I can just picture Uncle Carlos running after you in all that snow. Hehehehe.
Well, as much as I would like to "talk" to you GK, I better go help Karen. There are some icy spots under the fresh snow. She can be somewhat of a klutz sometimes so I better go to supervise.
Love you, love you, love you son
    Your very proud dad,
    Maddox
PS - hey Glue Squadders, isn't my boy a handsome fellow? I know Wu Tang thinks he is "da bomb". Could there be love in the air between them? Hmmmmm

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
It’s good to see GK is enjoying the snow almost as much as I did my little bit of heaven. I do have to say that my snow wasn’t that deep but I bet it was just as cold as your snow. We have nice thick coats of fur just so we can run and play in the cold stuff. I’ll bet that not everyone enjoys the snow as much as we do. They say that I may be getting some more snow here later on this week. I really hope so but that most likely won’t happen. The days have been so warm lately that the ground is warming up so the snow won’t stick if we do get some. I hate the slush.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Good morning handsome dude G.K. & all my Glue Squad Buddies,
Your father is certainly proud today and you are starting all our weeks off right seeing you marching onward snow soldier. That is excellent you are off the leash. But probably if truth be told you can't race with that deep snow and ice. Valentine's Day is coming and I hear Wu Tang thinks you are a hottie, so you better get to creating a card in Mama Martha's craft studio. Girls like that stuff.

Mom is starting to settle down a little from her adventure with Dad meeting Zoe's folks over the weekend. Zoe and I had fun together on the computer while they were gone. Weston didn't tell a soul. I looked very innocent when they arrived home, sleeping in front of the cozy fire. I guess they all had a fantastic time and felt as though they had been friends forever. And Mom was talking about a HAPPENING. Did you hear anything on that one?

Well, I better be off to the week. Warm weather coming here, 50's and 60's. Have a GEM of a day all.
    Love and licks,
    Ruby

  • Good morning GK!!!!! And Glue Squad buddies!!!!
Brutus posting today since Max is still cuddled next to Dad in bed.
Maddox, you darn near brought a tear to my eye this morning. I'm sure it's great seeing your son from time to time.
GK it was great watching you wander and explore the farm and woods. One of these days I'm going to show Mom and Dad that I can be trusted off my lead as well.
And yes, I love this snow and cold....much better than August weather, right double furry friends? Maxie runs out, does his thing then back in again. Not me! I make a snow bed and just watch the world go by. It is great.
Our temps are in the teens to low 20's and not suppose to get much higher until later this week. Works for me. I agree with Kirby...I hate slush. And rain. And mud.
Must be off...Mom has some appointment then lunch when her friend.
Keep exploring, GK. Keep warm, keep safe.
Sleeping Pugs and happy Brutie kisses,
    Brutus and Max
    p.s. GK....listen to Ruby.....woo Wu Tang! hehehehehe

  • Hi Ghenghis Khan, You are one handsome, terrific member of the Daily Wag and I so enjoyed seeing you on today's blog wondering all around Martha's beautiful Bedford farm in that deep snow! You are so lucky to have such beautiful fur all over yourself to protect you from freezing in that deep snow! I know F&S love to go outside, but the snow freezes them very quickly! You remind my Mom so much about Paw Paw being in so many photos all around Martha's farm! Thanks so much for sharing this blog with us and hope to see you even more often! Be sure to hug F&S for me this time! Sweet Missy Chow, I forgot to say how cute you looked in that great photo shared by Dr. Pia and of course sweet Ruby is just darling to see! I love all of you Glue Squaders and you all look so cute and of course the Kitties are special to me! Hope you all have a great day! We had snow on Saturday and now we are getting rain again! Stay safe and warm all of you! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • :-) GK your love for snow is very apparent...looks like you really enjoyed your romp, or should I say adventure. I noticed the distance between you and your human companion...I'm just glad you didn't take off...or did you? ;-)

Kitty is in love with James Dean..that's all she meeuwd about this weekend he he
So Ruby dear is mama Lynn all settled down after her visit?

Got to run...have a great day everyone!
    delia & Kitty =^. .^=

  • Hey there G.K.!
Glad to see no leash! Isn't exploring fun? Try to remember how much fun you had so you can run the farm this summer, too. You need to walk the perimeter and learn you boundaries. You sure are easy to see out there in the white snow. Your coat is so colorful. Keep up those great explorer dreams. You'll definitely have and easier time than Mr. Shackleton and Mr. Perry. I've seen shows on TV about them.
Have a great day big guy.
    Your pal,
    Rebel

  • Hello Mr.G.K. handsome man and all GS members,
WOW you are so very handsome! WuTang must be drooling just watching your snow athleticism. I admire your adventurous spirit! Maybe you could give me some pointers on how to explore the snow? Mom makes a trail for me with her boots but I sink even when I jump like an antelope. These little pug/peke/frenchie legs are not tall enough for the deep snow. Maddox, you must be so proud of him!
Now Kirby, you could have our snow... we could send it your way parcel post.
So glad Ruby and Zoe were able to cyber chat while their parents met in person! Wonder what this happening is??? Jimmy sent Kitty a nice Valentine picture. He is off to the vet tonight for a CAT DENTAL tomorrow to get his teeth all shiney.
Dixie Boy get ready for another ice storm... we might get more snow Thursday. Maybe I can grow more fur like my chow chow buddies.
off to snooze, Abby the pug/peke/frenchie

  • Hello GK and all the GS buddies:
Wow, look at that snow, just about as much as we have! We were out on the weekend, and the snow was so deep we were bounding/bouncing through it. We are herding dogs, originally from Scotland and historically used the run/bounce style of herding to get through the long grass on the Scottish highlands. It works really well in deep snow as well, Miz Lu looked like a character out of Braveheart, bounding through the deep snow with Riley and I. It was a sight to behold. I agree with Brutie - us double coated dogs love to be outside in the cold, especially if its sunny out - we just find a nice sheltered spot, curl up and soak in the sun. Mom and Dad always want to get us in, but we like to stay out as long as possible! Well, everyone SAVE the DATE, Westminster is Feb. 11/12 next year, be there or be square! Gotta go for now, Martha, Miz Lu and Riley boy.

  • Hi Y'all,
GK, sounds like the mighty explorer is in love???!! Sounds like loves in the air all over this blog in fact. Get those valentines ready! And by the way GK, looks like you're going to be spelunking soon if that snow gets any deeper!
Abby, those weather people had the nerve to put a snow flake symbol on the next 4 days in the forecast! 4DAYS!!! Right now they say it's going to be snow. Kirby, hope yours comes as snow and not ice. That's what Mis is worried about here. Just have to wait and see. I've grown my second coat in so I'll be good to go if we lose power. George might have to wear a sweater! Hehehe! And speaking of the twerp, he ate a dozen Krispy Kream doughnuts Friday night! Mis thought they were out of his reach, NOT! Guess he figured he'd get an early start on the Krispy Kream challenge. As usual, he passed out on the couch from the sugar load and missed the start of the run!
    Stay warm and safe buddies,
    Dixie Boy

  • G.K. sweetie, maybe if I had you to pal around with in this snow madness I might no be so tired of it but I just want it to go away. Kirby Bear, too bad you can't take a road trip to Chicago because there's more snow here than you can shake a stick at. The suburbs have so much, they're carting it away.

So happy that Lynn and Ann (Ruby Gem Girl and Zoe's Mom) had a great get together. I even tweeted Martha thanking her for the DW and bringing us all together. I hope everyone had a great, fun weekend.

  • Hi Everybody...It's melting, it's melting!!!What a wild weekend it was...snow, sleet, freezing rain, more snow and wind...WHERE is Spring? Mom keeps telling us that we're not going to be so happy when all this white stuff melts..it will be like a bog out in the yard she's afraid..told her not to worry, I can swim, Mayer can wade thru it and Sophie, well Sophie will be fun to watch tip toeing around looking for high ground!
GK, you are one handsome fella! And to be able to roam around the farm must be too fun.
Mom has some running around to do today now that she can get out of the driveway so maybe there will be a ride in the car in my future...keeping my paws crossed!
Have a great week every body
    Chloe, the Queen Chiweenie

  • Evening GK &Glue Squad Buddies-it's great to see you out and exploring the farm land today. Bet it was fun to be free from a leash and walk freely in the snow too. Was Uncle Carlos with you? It was nice of you to give F&S a break for the day too. With Mom's schedule today, she finally turned on the computer for me tonight. Thanks, Mom...Ruby, sounds like your Mom and Zoe's Mom had a great time along with your Dad's. Another snowstorm may be in the wings for Thursday, enough already...okay spring you can arrive early. Hi to all my friends.

    Till next time,
    Missy Chow
    Xoxo

  • Just hilarious!! The pictures are adorable, but the captions just make me laugh and laugh! I think this is my new favorite website :)
