Exploring In The Deep Snow

Posted by F&S

We Frenchies went outside to play in the snow, but we've got to say that, being so deep, playing in it isn't all that much fun.  In fact, it can be down right dangerous for little dogs, like us.  We found a spot outdoors we much prefer instead.

Can you believe all of this snow?

Franny, we should get ourselves one of those Olympic bob sleds to travel around these paths.

Maybe one of the guys could put a motor on it to make travel easier.

Franny, this snow is very cold and quite refreshing on the tongue.

Sharkey, I will attempt to climb this mountain.

Well, I got to the top, but the snow is not supporting my weight. I'm sinking!!!

Let's go around to the sunny side of the house.

It's challenging going through all these deep chasms, but we're almost there.

Sharkey, I don't know about you, but I'm going to bask here for a spell. I am so through with winter. Bring on spring!

  • Hello Girls & all my glue Squad Buddies,
First, I must ask Zoe to tell us what day is it?????
We missed you telling us last week girlfriend, but glad you are back now. Too, any good Super Nanny stories? Did you tie her up in t.p. and have a cheese curl party?

Well, I must say Franny and Sharkey you look mighty fetching in your sweaters. We are only getting winds right now, but perhaps due for a dusting later. Watch when you all back East are warming up, we here in Colorado will be getting blizzards. A girl can dream can't she. I am sure glad Maddox that you all got Karen's roof cleared off so no cave in. Is anyone else having those kind of problems? I just want all my buddies to be safe and warm and happy. Speaking of happy, I got a little home made noodle broth and a few noodles on my dinner last night. Mom says her Grandma that taught her how to make them, used to take a bowl out in the shed at night to the kitty that lived there. I didn't know cats would like home made chicken and noodles. I learned something new. Well, everyone have a GEM of a day.
    Love and licks,
    Ruby

  • Good morning,
Girls, your sweaters are very pretty. I like them. I don't need a sweater but I bet a few of our Glue Squad members could use them. I call them The Littles. They are small in body but big in heart. Francesca and Sharkey should have a Littles Day. All the Littles could send in their pictures and say a little something about themselves and about the DW. That would be fun. Oh my, I just had a good idea. They should have an annual GLUE SQUAD DAY. That would be awesome. If Franny and Sharkey's blog staff would agree to it, we could then decide on a date for Annual Glue Squad Day. We could all send a picture of ourselves along with a sentence or two about ourselves. That would be awesome, awesome awesome.
    Have a good day,
    Maddox

  • OKAY LET ME HEAR IT WHAT DAY IS IT????????? THAT'S RIGHT IT'S HUMP DAY :)

    Good Morning F & S

Now I have to say that is a properly shoveled path. That path you had on the blog yesterday looked like T-Bone and Sophie created it by running back and forth a few times.

Mom tells me warmer weather is on its way the next few days which is fine by me. I doubt it will get rid of all this white stuff but maybe I'll get to sit on the deck and catch a few rays I'm starting to get cabin fever.

Ruby I behaved for Super Nanny because she was taking such good care of Sophie. The morning mom was leaving a big hot spot appeared on her leg and she had to go see the doctor. I thought I'd cut her a break this time since she had to be a nurse for Sophie, take care of us plus deal with the snow not to mention she got stuck with us a few extra days. I was being the more kind, caring Zoe this time ;)

Well Glue Squad I hear all this talk about the "Happening" next year at Westminster? Karen does that mean you are going to show me? Should I start my training, get braces and get a touch up on the silver coming in around my face? Let me know now I'm going to need a little work :)

  • Hi F,S,&GK+ Glue Squad, You two lovely girls walking all around that deep snow is fun to see, but sure hope your feet don't freeze since you don't have boots on your feet! You did have a bit of fun going all around that snowy area but had more fun being up on the dry door stop with that warm cover on the floor! Bet you went back inside to get even warmer again! I heard that you will get some rain today and that might get rid of some of the snow! Hope you stay warm and safe and hug GK again! Very normal to see comments from Ruby, Maddox, and Zoe again this morning and you all 3 sound great! Hope to hear from the rest of you buddies very soon! Hope you buddies stay safe and warm! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • Good morning ladies-in-sweaters,
I can only say that it is a good thing you have a snow blower!
I got a little sun time in on the driveway while Mimi tried to clear the big drain at the end of the driveway. She really was disturbing my zen time with her shovel banging away at the ice. She finally said that the job she did was good enough & the city plow would have to do the rest and just then a plow truck came down the street. Mimi was glad.
Maddox has a great idea. We "littles" could send in pictures of ourselves in our sweaters. I have 3 Mama Martha sweaters. I look good in them all if I do say so myself.
You gals take it easy out there in your snow canyons. I'm going to watch the ladies ice skate at the Olympics. Mimi doesn't know I can work the remote.
    Your pal,
    Rebel

  • :-) Franny I'm with you! BRING ON SPRING! I've been basking in the sun and mommie delia has the nerve to call me into the house...well OK I did get enough fresh air today and managed to hone my hunting skills. ;-) hope mommie ~d didn't hear that!
Those walking snow channels seem to help you two short Frenchies in getting around...very cool! Daddie Al did the same thing for me...now that's a Mensch!
How's Black Mama and my love James Dean? Oh what a cutie pie Rebel is ...like another Minnow...we hooked up on FB.
Oops here comes you know who, she wants to use the iPad....prurr I'm out of here.

Hello GS friends, sunny and warmer today, and like true nature the end of the week will be below freezing again! :-(
Zoe aren't you glad we can remind you of what day it is!? Ha ha ;-)
Having said that- everyone have a great Wednesday..hump days come waaaay too fast!
    delia & Kitty =^. .^=

  • This Winter is beginning to ruffle my tail feathers. And, I don't have a tail or feathers! :)

NH got slammed with 10 inches of snow. The snow banks are so high!

Bode Miller (a NH fella) can use the accumulated snow to practice his runs! :)

I can feel Spring in my bones! That is what I tell myself to help get through the last bit of Wintry days!

    Happy Wednesday to all!
    gail

  • I like to see you being such an intrepid explorer, Francesca Baby! The paths today looked much more appropriate for Frenchie butts, Sharkey, I must say.
We got a little bit of a warm-up here-- Mom even had the porch door open so we could sun ourselves on the stoop for a bit. As soon as the sun left it, so did we though.
    A bientot!

  • Hi Girls & Glue Squad Buddies-First of all, I'm sad..:( I posted late yesterday afternoon to wish Sharkey a Happy, Happy Birthday;checked this morning but it didn't make it. I can't always write in the morning as Mom doesn't turn on my computer in time before she leaves for work. Sharkey, I sure hope you had a fun day and that Frannie & GK gave you a party. Now for today, you girls certainly get around in those small places that have been shoveled. Bet the best place was on the door stoop with the nice sunshine. We had more snow yesterday but it was a fast moving storm. Today, heat wave with temps in the 40's and maybe 50's tomorrow, yippee...could mean more outside time & less snow. Works for me. Hi to all my buddies & friends ;)

    Till next time,
    Missy Chow
    xoxo
