Critters Have New Year's Resolutions Too!

Posted by Pia

Even though our fellow creatures already do an admirable job of... living in the moment, taking time to smell the roses, appreciating the simple things that life has to offer, etc... They too see the value of setting various aspirational goals at the beginning of the new year...

  • Happy New Year's Dr. Pia!!

I love all the pictures of my friends you all look so cute. Minnow I wish my teeth were nice and straight like yours - did you wear braces as a pup?

I didn't make any New Year's resolutions because I never keep them. I just plan on being Zoe for 2104 :)

Well I better get out my parka because the snow is heading our way. Ruby I'd be glad to send it your way I'm not fond on that white, wet cold stuff :(

  • :-) Dear sweet Dr. Pia and Minnow...what a lovely surprise to see the sweet faces of success...in furever loving homes.
Minnow you always seem to have a smile, just like your tiny mommie Pia. Love seeing glue squad furfriends...and may all their resolutions come about.
Kitty says she doesn't need a resolution, since she thinks she's just about perfect...lol ;-)
As for me, I don't make resolutions because I can't keep them...I just want to make others happy especially through my art.
Dr.Pia you know how much I admire your big heart, you are an amazing person with a drive that I wish I had.
We are Blessed to have our Glue Squad buddies and the cameraderie we have established.
F&S, GK, Donks and Black Beauties, you put daily sunshine in our hearts!
A Thank You to all here.... and I pray that 2014 will be a year of love and understanding for all creatures on earth :-)
    delia & Kitty =^. .^=

  • Hello All the GS buddies: Happy New Year to everyone, we are a bit late, but better late than never! We had a great Xmas/New Year's holiday and there was lots of good food, good company and good walks! We are in our forever home, and we give thanks for the little things - having each other to play with (and annoy), having people that love and care for us, having our cat buddies to chase when the mood strikes us! Our New Year's resolutions are simple, to be kinder to each other, and to make every day matter. Martha and Miz Lu are going to the groomer today, I am going to the groomer tomorrow - we will all be clean and beautiful for the next little while. It will be time to get out the coats for sure!
Well, gotta go, Dad is shovelling again, it has been snowing here since yesterday afternoon, we are supposed to get another 10 inches! Enough already, we would dearly love to ship the snow to you Ruby, we have enough for everyone!
Love and Beardie bounces, Martha, Miz Lu and Riley boy.

  • Dr Pia, Thank you so much for featuring us on this blog! What a great surprise!! Mom was so worried she messed up and the pictures didn't from the camera to the computer to you....forever her, she's old. Anyway.
Well, we just broke one of our resolutions. We were going to be nicer on this blog. Sorry Mom. (but it's the truth...crap there we go again)
    Moving on now....
We want to wish Chewy a happy, happy, happy belated birthday. We hope you got lots of toys and treats and cake!
And it is SNOWING!!! We have at least 2 inches and more it's still coming down. Dad and Max are really bummed, but Mom and I are thrilled. We have already been outside, Mom shoveled a pee path for Maxie and I played...while Dad and Max stayed in bed.
Ruby, if we could, we would definitely send some your way!
We must be off...time for breakfast then a nap.
    Stay warm glue buddies!
    Pugs and wet snowy kisses
    Brutus and Max

  • Hi and Happy New Year!,
George here! Wow, It's great to see all the Glue Squanders today in this great blog by Dr. Pia! No resolutions made this year, but Mis wishes I would make one to grow up! On the other hand, I want her to be patient. Dogs were not made complete in a day.
But to her credit, I HAD MY BEST DAY EEEEVVVVEEERRR.
Mis and her Sis and another lady named El took me on a hike yesterday for New Years! It's the first hike I've ever been on and oh, it was fun. Except when I slide down that rock and took Mis with me. We both almost ended up in the Eno River. Mis caught hold of a tree and became a real tree hugger until she could figure a way back down that didn't involve swimming. It's a bit cold for that right now. I was alright. I found the rocks below but for a second it didn't look good for Mis. She keeps saying it was like watching a train wreck, whatever that means. But we made it! No real damage! Mis slipped in the mud a while later. She performed a split. I assume that's not a good thing! I ran back and sat on her until she got up. But it was all good! Mis said that I was an excellent boy. I greeted everyone on the trail. I love kids. And when we met the other dogs, I was well behaved. So when we FINALLY got back to the truck I was ZONKED! When I woke up, we were at this food place and they were handing Mis bags of food. This is great! AND MIS GOT ME A CHEESE BURGER. And El fed me fries and oh it was sooooo gooood! But I was so tired that I fell back asleep after I ate.
Dixon was glad to see me when I got home! We played later after I took another nap. Whew!
Dixon here! As you just heard the little twerp got to go hiking. That's okay by me! I got a day without him hanging on my neck, So it was a Happy New Year for me too! We hope everyone had a great day and many more to come! Stay safe in the snow and cold you New Englanders. Ruby, you may have to move east this year for snow! We are expecting a small blast of cold tomorrow and a brutal blast in a few days so stay warm and dry wherever you live.
See Ya! Dixie Boy and George

  • I'm Back to make some belated, but nonetheless heartfelt birthday wishes to Chloe and her Mom and Chewy! Hope you each had a great day with special gifts! Mis and the Boys
