Cold Weather Hide And Seek

Posted by F&S

With all this freezing weather, we Frenchies are looking for fun stuff to do indoors.   The other day, we struck up a game of hide and seek.

OK, G.K! Close your eyes and count to 20 and no peeking! That would be cheating!

Ah-ha! He'll never find me here! My claw feet create an illusion that they're actually the legs holding up this settee. On second thought,,,,

Oh no! I can't find a place to hide!

Perhaps I will blend into this faux fur.

Or maybe in this planter.

Got ya, Francesca!

Now, I just need to find Sharkey.

This is as low as I can get in here!

Maybe I could hide quickly behind that lamp.

Sharkey, duck down lower! Something about your head there makes it look like you're in some some kind of guillotine.

Yikes Francesca, I wouldn't want to risk losing my head over a game of hide-n-seek.

Phew! I think G.K is giving up, anyway!

  • Good morning Francesa, Sharkey and GK! It's always great to see GK! But we don't think his heart was really into hide and seek. Sharkey, it looked like you were really scratching your back in that first photo. Frannie you all have really had enough winter, right?
Well, I, Brutus, have not! We had snow over the weekend and I loved being outside. Maxie, here....nope, not me...when is Spring going to Sprung?
The temps are suppose to fall to negative nothing today and stay there for awhile. Whatever we did to make Mother Nature mad....we are SORRY!
Must be off to find a soft, warm place to nap.
Stay warm, stay safe....haven't we said that before?
    Pugs and snow covered kisses.
    Brutus and Max

  • Nothing like a fun game of hide n' seek to beat the Winter cold snap, huh!

What's next, door bell ditch! :) hee hee

NH is back in the arctic zone. Gee, seems like Winter is holding her grip extra tight this year.

    Spring where are you?

    Happy Monday to all..

  • Good morning everyone,
I play hide and seek with my biscuits. I hide them and then when Karen and Mammy Jean go away, I go seek them They don't know I have a stash hidden. Hehehehehe
Well, snow again. Twice in one day. The temperature is actually 28 degrees right now. Tonight it is supposed to go below zero again. If I had a dollar for every time I hear someone complain about the snow I would be a very rich fellow. For all you snow haters. Look at it this way. In a little over a month it will start to warm up and then you will really appreciate it all the more.
    Have a great day everyone
    Love to all.
    Maddox

  • Good Morning F & S

Really you couldn't find better hiding spots than that? No wonder GK didn't seem interested there was no challenge! I would have suggested chase the fur balls around the house. Now that's what I'm talking about ;)

Can I tell you all again how I'm over this winter already!! Snow on Saturday but only a few inches - I'm so over it where is Spring???

No dog treats for us this weekend mom said we were driving her crazy. Sophie kept barking at mom to pet her and I kept starting fights. Mom kept making mean threats first she said she was taking us to the farm then she said she was calling a priest because I needed an exorcism. Then she said she was taking the 3 of us to live with that nasty football player that was when I started to calm down. Someone must have spiked our water I was running around the house like a wild animal!! It was kinda fun ;)

This morning I had to pee in the cup again I hope my medicine worked. Happy Monday :)

  • Hello Girls, G.K., & all my Glue Squad Buddies,

This hide and seek looks fun. Sharkey, G.K. just gave up I think because he wants to be out in the snow. You all back East are ready for Spring, and the Ruby girl still wants Winter and butt vrooming in the snow. Such great day dreams I have of those times. We are getting a few more inches today, but not the good stuff. I won't complain, at least it is some snow.

Denver is in Super Bowl mode. All week orange, orange, and more orange everywhere. Mom is planning the party for Sunday. There are only going to be 3 of us, but enough food for an army. You know what that means, plenty for Ruby. And thanks Maddox, for last Friday trying to trick Mom into thinking the Super Bowl was last weekend. Not a chance, she knows the minute and hour it will be starting. I got an entire fileted trout on Friday, and then on Saturday Weston bought me 2 new toys that are really cool---one sounds like a pig and I love to make it oink at 10 at night to scare the raccoons. Hehehehe
Then some nice walks, so my weekend was glorious. Zoe, I hope your pee test comes out good and everyone has a GEM of a day.
    Love and licks,
    Ruby

  • Hi F,S,&GK+ Glue Squad, How fun it was to see all 3 of you wonderful sweethearts in today's photos and I loved every one of them!!! Playing hide and seek inside was much better than running around outside in all of that snow and freezing weather! I heard that you had more snow on Saturday and it's still cold there! My Mom is still able to go outside and cut lost of wood for our wood stove every day when the sun comes out after the fog goes away! Sure hope all 3 of you stay nice and warm and hope it gets warmer and nicer outside real soon! Nice to hear from Brutus and Max, Gail, Maddox and Zoe and hope to hear from the rest of you buddies real soon! Stay safe and warm! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
GK doesn’t like to play hide and seek because he has a longer nose than you two have. That means he smells better than you two and can find you without much trouble. Now I don’t mean that you two smell bad because you have a bath regularly. I mean he smells, with his nose, better because it is longer. I used to play hide and seek with Daddy but I knew just where he was every time; I could smell him five feet away. No, no Daddy, I don’t mean you smell bad. Better leave that alone now. Did you know that a wolf can smell another animal over a mile away? Now that’s a smelly fact.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Hello Everyone - a game of hide and seek sounds fun -we have so much snow here (and lots more fell this weekend) that Riley boy could go outside and just disappear in it - he's white, its white and you only see his dark nose and eyes! Well, like I said, more snow this weekend and more snow forecast for this week. Ruby girl, come on up to the Great White North, I believe there would be enough snow to satisfy even you! We got some off leash time in this weekend, went to a large field Mom knows and we just went berserk. Miz Lu and Riley were trying for land speed record, and I was just bringing up the rear, casually loping along. I don't need to beat anyone at anything, I'm happy to just mosey along, smelling all the good smells and communing with nature. Today is very sunny but brutally cold again, so much snow that they cancelled the schools today, but of course didn't close Mom's work, so she had to go..... Oh well need to go now, talk to everyone later -- Love and Beardie bounces, Martha, Miz Lu and Riley boy.

  • Morning Girls, GK & Glue Squad - It must have been fun trying to play hide & seek, but with our chow noses, we can find anything. Sometimes, Mom & Dad catch me with my nose in the air, catching the breezes that I can only smell. It's fun because they don't know what I'm smelling, hehe..Well, we are having a heat wave today, temps in the 40's but it's going to get colder again tonight :( ....Mom is ready for spring, she even saw a few flower buds popping their heads thru a couple of weeks ago. Zoe, sounds like you had a "fun" weekend, lucky Mom didn't mention Supernanny if you know what I mean.. hope your test goes okay too. Time for a snack ;) then maybe a nap.

    Till next time,
    Missy Chow
    xoxo

  • Good morning all,
I love to play hide and seek. Someone says "where's that little Rebel" and I go hunker down and then jump out, say "howdy doo" and run off again. I think today would be a great day. Mimi has book club tomorrow and she's been reading all the time! I hope she gets done so we can play.
    Til then, it's toooooo cooooollllllddddd!
    I'm going to bed.
    Your pal,
    Rebel

  • Hi Y'all,
Hide and seek sounds like fun! Not many places to hide in this house for big dogs, but Zeke and Izzy can fit under the bed. And on occasion, it's been known that we can hide in plain site. HEEHHEEE!
Zoe, I think some of your zoom juice got into Georges water. Since about Friday, Mis has wanted to send him away. He's chasing and running in and out. Jumping on everyone, counter surfing, bringing soaker hoses in the house. You name it, he's done it.
Mis and her brother-in-law, Jeff had to rush his cat Tabitha to the emergency vet hospital Saturday. She had an acute bleed in her eye. She's okay. Nothing to worry about but it gave George ample time to eat supper, before it was cooked. Mis was not happy and neither was her sister who said that she found most of the plastic wrap and had to pick up all of the other things he had taken off the counter. That boy's going in a pen when she leaves, I just know it! George, you best grow up!
Ruby, the forecast for tomorrow is cold with snow flurries that will continue into Wednesday with a snow storm. Highs won't get above freezing for a couple of days. Mis says its a low that's forming off our coast and that those can bring blizzards. Ok, by our standards, Blizzards. We'll see if we can butt vroom enough for you too! We seem to be having a normal winter here. Haven't had one for many years so it's good. It's better than last year when the mosquitos and bugs raged all winter because it was so warm.
Hope all our buddies can stay warm and safe. It's going to be brutal for you guys in the north and mid-west. Maybe a round of hide and seek treats will be in order.
    Dixie Boy

  • :-) OK it's cold outside...and that's all I'm going to say about that! F&S and GK playing together is a nice thing...must be hard to find a place to hid when you have short legs, but then the sofa was pretty good except for your color.
GK you look so schmoozable with all that fluff face..muahhh!
Talk about cute! Did you see Karen's Puppy, Bella Rose McFee went to the Vet with all pink and diamonds...wow! :-)
Zoe, that is an image in my mind...you peeing in a cup!
What caused cat Tabitha eye to bleed? The only thing I know that might do that is the poison in flea collars or applications. :-(

Warm hugs to ALL our buddies here!
    delia & Kitty =^, ,^=
