Some Of The Outdoor Decor

Posted by Francesca

It's been so snowy and so freezing cold that we've been spending a lot of time indoors.  We were feeling a little housebound, so we grabbed GK and decided to look at the outdoor Christmas ornaments.

The other day, we showed you all some of our holiday decor inside the house. Today, we'd like to focus on the exterior. Here we are sitting on the porch overlooking the farm.

The posts of the porch are wrapped with beautiful garland that's decorated with acorn and pine cone ornaments. You can find ornaments like these in the Martha Stewart Living Christmas collection at The Home Depot.

Wow! Here's a ball made of vines and filled with Christmas lights.

When plugged in, balls like these are gorgeous at night!

I'm a big fan of this woodland wreath. The glistening snow-tipped greens is a nice effect.

These ornaments, also from The Home Depot are from Martha's Holiday Frost Collection. I just love the icicles!

Sharkey, speaking of icicles, look at these dripping from the eaves. They're so pretty.

Francesca, be careful! Icicles are very pretty to look at, but it's not safe to stand beneath them.

You can actually be killed if a sharp icicle falls and stabs you! Scary to think about!

  • Good morning,
I love Martha's Christmas ornaments They are beautiful. And there is a big selection of them at Home Depot. GK, you made an appearance two days in a row. Very kool. Girls, I like your jackets. Very stylish.
Zoe, I can't imagine your mom spending time in a nice warm place and then come back to snow and freezing rain. What a welcome home. More toilet paper capers. Zoe will love you guys. Hehehehehe. Kirby, let's hope the medicine works for your eye. A bacon birthday? That sounds interesting. I bet it tasted better than any other birthday cake.
Well, we have snow again today. Supposed to get 5 inches. But no freezing rain on top of it. That is better to deal with.
    Have a great day everyone,
    Maddox

  • Good Morning F, S & GK

Your house looks so nice all decorated for Christmas. I can't wait for Santa to arrive :) I'm getting so excited I might have to grab some TP and run around the house!!!

I get to start my day at the groomer. Mom said I need to look pretty for Santa. I guess she is right my skin is a bit dry and I could use a manicure. Maybe I'll have my face waxed while I'm there so I look really good.

Kirby I'm worried about your eye. I hope the drops work so you don't have to look like a pirate. I'll say extra prayers that they work.

    Zoe

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
It’s really good to see GK is still making the rounds at your house. Maddox, you are so lucky having more snow. Wish I were there to enjoy it with you. I’ll bet the people around there don’t like all that snow. They just don’t know how to enjoy it. Its been said, “If life sends you lemons, make lemonade.” I say, if life sends you snow, make snow men. I’ll get letters unless I add, or snow women. Hehehehehe It’s been down to freezing here these past two mornings. Really feels good when going outside.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Hi F,S,&GK+ Glue Squad, WOW! How fun to see all of those beautiful Christmas ornaments that Martha has outside as well as inside her home at Bedford farm! The 3 of you sure did a great job showing us so many of those decorations! How fun it was to see you again handsome GK and you sweet girls looked so cute in those outfits! Those icicles along the roof are amazing and my Mom always knocks them down so they don't ever fall on me! Hope all 3 of you sweethearts have another great day and Mom read that you would get more snow today! Stay safe! Only heard from Maddox so far this morning so will check back later to read more great comments! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • Good morning,
What a great picture of you three! I'm glad you showed the icicles. Mimi & Papa were talking about them the other day & now I know what they are! I definitely will look out for them. Our snow is going to get rained on & I bet we'll have some.
Well, Mimi & I are a bit slow on the trigger, we finally watched "The Christmas Spirit". Boy, Chloe, you do live in a cute town. It made Mimi want to go shopping (oh, brother)...not more shopping!
Hey, Kirby, eye medicine seems yucky, but you'll see better soon. It'll be okay.
    Have a great day everybody.
    Your pal,
    Rebel

  • Hello Handsome G.K., Francesca, Sharkey and GS buddies,
Well the wreaths are simply beautiful! I love the pretty acorn ornaments and the picture of Sharkey near the turquoise ornaments was stunning! Look out for those icicles, reminds me of the Abominable Snowman's cave door! Ice is not a friend to little or big dogs when it falls.
Kirby Bear, hope you have fun in the snow and that your eye feels better real soon. Zoe, are you making a list for santa? I know Missy Chow is being very good for the man in the red suit. Ruby, I wondered do you leave Warrior biscuits out on a tray for santa's reindeer?? I think those cookies and milk on little plates look real good- yummy.
Mom is off today for a SNOW DAY!!!! Waahoo, wahoo! I think Jimmy is going to help her do Christmas cards and we can watch holiday t.v. together and cuddle... have to go dream and sleep now. have a wonderful snow day!

  • Hello everyone!
GK!!! Great to see you again! Sharkey you look warm sitting next to GK. Your house looks great.
Sorry we are so late today. Mom yelled at us about yesterdays' post. She reminded us that Christmas is next week and Santa is STILL watching. So I (Brutus) had to apologize to Max for calling him names and Max had to apologize to me....then we had to hug. Mom says that's what she made our human brothers do whenever they fought.
Maddox, a bacon birthday cake is a GREAT thing! hahahah
Rebel, sorry that movie was so crummy...but our town looked great. We like walking downtown and Mom loves to shop there.
Mom has ulcers on her eye and has to put eye drops in ever 2 hours and she can't wear contacts for 2 weeks. But the doctor says she will probably be OK. He "had words" with her about changing her contacts more often.
Boy, we all got yelled at yesterday!
    Anyway that's that.
It's cold here....and I love it (Brutus)! But all our beautiful snow will melt when the rain comes later this week....bummer.
    Must be off....
    Pugs and kisses,
    Brutus and Max

  • What a festive holiday look that adorns the outside of the house! :)

Icicles are very pretty, especially when the sun shines on them. However, I agree that can be very dangerous! Some of the icicles have have hung from my roof over the years are long in the tooth! :)

Guess what? It's snowing again. Must be Winter! :)

    Happy Tuesday to all
    gail

  • :-) enjoyable photos of the three of you! Lovely Xmas decore as well..
