I've been wondering about hay, now that winter's coming. Let's have a look upstairs in the hay loft and see if they have an ample supply.

Wow, it's pretty empty up here! We better remind Betsy to order more hay, right away!

When that hay is delivered, this bale conveyor will need to be lowered out of the loft window, but that's not our concern. We'll let the strong guys take care of that.

Well Sharkey, if my eyes aren't deceiving me, Betsy, as usual, is on top of the situation and we have a load coming in right now!

Wow Francesca, that is one big truck! It even had to use the service entrance to get on the property!

And big trucks can carry big loads! Just look at all that hay!

Ok, the driver is pulling up by the stable. From the looks of things, it's really a good thing that we have that conveyor!

Let's inspect it, Sharkey. It looks like fine quality hay - very clean and neatly baled. Let's go back up to the hay loft.

The guys are ready and waiting.

The conveyor was lowered and look how easy it makes getting those heavy bales up into the hay loft! The chain has big hooks, which grip the bales for transport.

  • Good morning,
That is quite an operation to get the hay in place for the horses. But I bet they appreciate everyone who helps with the Hay For Horses project. I hope you girls are having a nice vacation. I bet you will have all kinds of new stuff for the DW when you come back. What did everyone do over the weekend? We got a couple huge boxes of treats from several friends in different parts of the countryon Friday. That was neat. It was like Christmas Ii, the sequel. Hehehehehe. Speaking of those treats, I think I will go raid the boxes while Karen is sleeping and add some to my secret stash of biscuits. Yes, that is a very good idea Maddox. You are so smart. Hehehehehe.
    Love to all,
    Maddox

  • Hello Girls & all my Glue Squad Buddies,
This looks like it was fun when you did the help for the hay for the horses. I love your close up in #14. I didn't get to see much of your Christmas decor this year. I hope you took photos before you left, to show us.

Did everyone watch that football over the weekend? I think all the Glue Squad have upcoming participants in playoffs. All I can say is I was looking up the date for the Superbowl to plan my party, whoever plays, and it is Feb.2, just sayin'.

I can't believe the year is ending and it is time to think of our New Year's resolutions. Mine is to be no more Houdini Ruby. Tell me gang what are your resolutions!!! Huh, huh???? We have a New Year's Eve birthday girl too. What fun for Queen Chloe the Cheweenie and her Mom, Jan sharing the same birthday. Party central!!! Have a GEM of a day all.
    Love and licks,
    Lynn

  • Hi F,S,&GK+ Glue Squad, WOW! How great to see today's blog that was presented probably a year ago and was so much fun to see again! You two sweet girls sure did a nice job checking out getting those hay bales to put in the stable for your friends the horses and the donkeys! You have so many great buddies there at Martha's beautiful Bedford farm and sweet Betsy sure is a great person to take care of all in the stable! How fun to see Chhiring, Gyurme, and Betsy paying such nice attention to the two of you sweethearts!!! Seeing those beautiful horses was fabulous, also! Hope you are having a great vacation! Nice to hear from you Maddox and hope to hear from more of you great buddies soon! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
It looks like the Christmas season is coming to an end and everyone around here is getting ready for the new year. You know, they said the same thing last year about this time and nothing changed during the past year. If you have seen one year you have seen them all. I guess I did get a year older and my medical condition has changed. Speaking of that; my vet says that the pressure inside my eye is still too high and I have to take all those eye drops until it gets back down. I don’t think it ever will. It does not cause me any pain at this time, but if it does start to hurt then the eye will have to come out.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Hello Glue Squad Buddies,
I am still catching up on my zzz's from the holidays and must apologize that I signed MOM's name on my post today. GOOFY ME----Have a GEM of a day, your favorite RUBY
So funny, love and licks from a human, hehehehe

  • :-) oh goodie the the horsies! Let me call mommie delia to see...she says how much she loved the smell of new cut hay and a barn full of feed for the winter...made her feel secure.
We are happy to see that Christmas was enjoyed and all is well...sweet Ruby tell mama Lynn to take it easy for the rest of the year...ha ha ;-)
All I do is eat and sleep, go out for a few minutes and count the deer tracks and make sure no one is invading my territory.
Mommie says to give everyone a New Year wish of Happiness...(she's down with a hurting back)
Love you all my Glue Squad buddies...
Muhaaa Meeuwww and Prurrs from me Kitty =^. .^=
Heartfelt wishes for the NY from delia

  • ..first off, Kirby, hope the eye pressure backs off...then...here is some news..James and Lucinda decided that New Years day will be my birthday..the pound said I was about 2 1/2 when they got me..I still growl when touched wrong and try to bite..but living at the farm/ranch is calming me down...sort of...I have to get my vest on and zip off for a walk and spy on raccoons, bob-cat and I heard a coyote howling last nite..wow..a lot of action going on here!..later..love Chewy
