Lucky that the snow hasn't stuck to this path yet. However, at the rate this snow is falling, that will change soon.

Awww.... Look at those donks all huddled together in their little shack.

To get to the donkeys, we have to trek through the snow and it's so icy cold! My little paws don't like it very much. G.K. with all of your thick fur, you seem to be holding up nicely.

Oh no, G.K. - Look at Rufus, Clive, and Billie! They're so still! I think they must be frozen!

Oh, Sharkey! You are so silly at times. I know for a fact that the donkeys are not frozen at all.

You see, they're just fine. In fact, they don't mind winter one bit.

Well, you donkeys must have a strong constitution to be able to stay out here all day long!

What do you do, grow super winter fur or something?

G.K., not all hairy beasts are alike, are they? We certainly have an advantage over shivering Sharkey.

Where she would normally stay and bark at us for, what seems an eternity, she's already headed back to the comfort of home.

It's good to see that you're in no hurry to leave, G.K. Why don't you come into our paddock and we can all make some snow angels?

  • Hello Glue Squaders!!! It's.....Fridaaaayyyy!!!!!
We know this is a re-run post, but it's still great to see GK and the Donks! Hey, that's a great band name, right? hahahaha
Max here...Sharkey, I feel your chill. During these 20 degrees days...and especially in snow...I go outside, reluctantly, do my business and back in the house. No hanging on the patio and checking out the doggies on the bike trail. Nope.
Brutus here....GK I'm with you. Give me cold and snow anytime. That makes me happy, happy, happy.
Well, Squaders what did Santa leave for you?
We got lots and lots of great treats.....some even homemade..peanut butter even...yummo! And Martha squeaky toys. And Maxie got a Martha hooded coat. We pulled in a really good haul this year!
Mom got a digital camera...so maybe she can send some pictures to Dr Pia (don't hold your breath, she just now managed to get the batteries and that little do-hickey memory thingy in there)soon. But that's a start, right? We keep telling her we are ready for our close ups! hahahaha
Must be off to bed. Gotta get our beauty sleep.
    Have a great weekend....Go Bengals!
    Pugs and kisses.
    Brutus and Max

  • Good morning everyone,
Did everyone have a good Christmas? We had snow on the ground. It snowed here the day before and day after Christmas so we got our White Christmas. I can't stay on long because Karen asked me if I want to go down to the kennel to help take care of the dogs that are here for boarding. We gave them all little gifts for Christmas so they were very happy.
I will check back later to see what everyone is up to for the weekend.
    Love to all,
    Maddox

  • Hi F,S,&GK +Glue Squad, It was so much fun to see all three of you beautiful friends outside in the snow visiting all three of your donkeys Rufus, Clive, and Billie who seemed to love the snow just like GK does! I'll bet it was very cold out that day and you two girls probably went back in the house very soon! I remember seeing this blog before and it was fun to see it again! Hope you are having a great time even though Martha is off on vacation and I'll bet you miss her very much but you do have great friends at the farm who take such great care of you! Didn't see any comments from our buddies so will check back later! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+ PS-Happy Birthday to Gail the day before Christmas!

  • Hello Girls, G.K., and all my Glue Squad Buddies,
This is a great blast from the past post. I need to see some photos of snow to keep my spirits up. You 3 sure did look like you had fun seeing the donks that day. I bet Gail is happy getting to see this blog again.

Well, I am coming out of my tiredness from the Christmas celebrations, and now on to thinking of New Year's food and partying. Christmas was lots of fun, pretty much. Bringing my new 8 week old cousin, Ash, was not really to my liking. I was a great hostess and never snapped or bit at him, not even when he thought I was like his Mom and tried for the milk factory. That little stink bit me hard and boy did I yelp. I knew Santa was on his way and didn't want to upset things by snapping or biting, so I just stayed away from the kid. He sleeps a lot still and has a tiny crate. By next Christmas he will want to be kissing cousins, and I will just say to leave him home---no way. Seeing the snow in the blog is nice as it is in the 60's here. I got to go around the lake yesterday and lots of new smells and little kids trying out their trikes and bikes. I like the snow, but I sure like my walks. Don't you all feel bad for those people in the ice storms that have no power. They need some of those sled dogs to bring groceries. I have started thinking on my New Year's resolution, what about you guys? Last year I made it no more counter surfing and stealing from tables, and by God I have stuck to it. I have done better than Mom and her loosing 20 pounds. She does good and looses it and then finds it again. I think this year I will resolve to no more "Houdini Ruby." Sound good ya think? I'll try. I am excited to hear of everyones holiday and what is in the works for New Year's Eve. I have to start planning the Bronco game goodies for Sunday. If Peyton's boys win Sunday we get to have the playoff games here. Whatever, I am doing serious party planning. Yahoooooooooo!! Professor Maddox, get everyone going on the resolution train. Have a GEM of a weekend, and enjoy all your new toys and treats from Santa.
    Love and licks,
    Ruby

    Rebel
