The cats have been doing a lot of complaining about how our Frenchie fur is causing them to sneeze.  Of course, we disagree with them and proceeded to paint a very different picture of what the situation really is.

Sharkey, I don't know why the cats are insisting that our hair makes them sneeze. This clump of fur on the carpet is definitely cat hair!

  • Good morning everyone,
Well, I guess all the bats, witches and zombies went back to bed till next October. Fun weekend. Chloe, it was nice to see you post again. Stay away from skunks. PU
Sophie, see what happens when you don't share? Another holiday over. Next big thing is Election Day. I think animals should be able to run for office. After all, some of the politicians are jack asses and they are animals so real animals should be able to hold office too. Hehehehehehehe.
Sharkey and Francesca, we have a Special Agent right here in the house. His name is Gibbs. He could have helped with your investigation. But it looks like you solved it on your own. Allergies! They make you itchy and sneezy and have watery eyes. You should get Haz Mat suits for all the cats. That might help. Hey, where are those little cats? Well, they were kittens when they were on the blog last. They are probably big by now.
Well, I am heading to the deck. I am stuffed from yesterday. We had cheeseburger birthday cake. Was it good. It was for one of our chows, Yucky. He turned 11 yesterday. He got all kinds of extra treats. He is Paw Paw's grandson. He is a good guy. He has scarred lungs from the fire and coughs a lot but he is doing pretty good. I think I am going to check to see if there is any burger cake left before I head to the deck. I am stuffed but there is always room for a little more cake. Hehehehehehehe
    Love to all,
    Maddox

  • Good morning Glue Squad,
Just a quick comment today. No running off at the mouth like I usually do. I just wanted to thank everyone, especially Meg and Missy chow for your support of me and my accomplishments as a breeder. Thank you very much.
Love always to my good friends,
    Karen

  • Hello CSI Girls & all my Glue Squad Buddies,
How could those cats possibly think YOU make them sneeze? They are silly, and obviously you found them to try and put the blame on you. I bet it is the young ones trying to pass the blame. Good job CSI Frenchies!!!!
Since there wasn't a Bronco game yesterday, I knew I was going to need a little pick me up type of Saturday. Weston and Dad outnumbered Mom and voted I get to go to this place they go to a lot called Home Depot. Mom insisted therapy dogs only but their votes ruled and the Ruby Gem got to go. You all need to go, it is an entirely new world. There were other dogs that weren't therapy MOM,but everyone wants to give loves to you. Just think a year ago before my forever home, I was soooooo scared of things, patrolled the house and yard something terrible. I have come along way baby. Oh, and now that the landscape design business is closed until spring, guess what....holiday house decor. Yep, another grand business begins. I know all my Glue Squad buddies will be helping with this one too. Jobs have already lined up---we have 3 trees to plan. Hope everyone else had a GEM of a weekend and you have a GEM of a day.
    Love and licks,
    Ruby

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
Well the weekend is over and back to the daily grind. For me that would be having my naps at different times. Speaking of which, this time change sure is hard on the ole body. This morning Rebel, my back fence friend, was up chasing squirrels early while I was trying to sleep in. The chasing isn’t bad; it’s all that barking. I chase but don’t bark. Now that’s the way to do it without attracting attention. My Daddy used to fly those jack asses, err politicians, around a lot. He said if you put them in a bag and shake them around you would not be able to tell them apart. Anyone who thinks they are out to help you, had better think again; they’re out to help themselves. I better sign off for now. Daddy is giving me bad looks.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

Chewy, please say Hi to sweet Black Mama for me and stay safe from outdoor animals that you see! Glad Lucinda protected you! Gail, thanks for your charming comment today! Maddox, please give Yucky a big hug and hope he had a great birthday on Sunday! How nice that he is a grandson of Paw Paw like GK is!! Hope to hear from the rest of you great buddies real soon! • Good Monday Morning Francesca, Sharkey and Glue Squad buds!
Looks like the Bedford Babes solved another one! Good job ladies. Vivaldi should know by now that Frenchies rule and kitties drool! hahahaha
We had a quiet weekend around here.
Mom was put "on call" last night for work. See when there's not too many patients in the ICU all the workers are not needed so some are asked (told) to stay home until they are needed. Mom was really happy to stay home with us.
It's cloudy and windy today, but no rain. The rain is suppose to start Wednesday.
We agree that most politicians are a mixed bag of hot air. But Mom and Dad will go vote tomorrow because, as Mom says, if you don't vote you don't have the right to bit**.
Must be off, the patio is calling my name...Maxie is still in bed with Dad.
Hipe everyone has a great week!
    Pugs and kisses,
    Brutus and Max

  • CSI: Cantitoe Corners

How does that sound? I am really impressed with your dexterity, handling a glass slide and the microscope, too! You really outsmarted the cats this time!
I spied a really big, fluffy and pretty cat walking the shoreline. My ducks (all grown up now) were all bunched together swimming along the shoreline keeping all their eyes on the new kitty in the neighborhood. I counted 18 ducks. They were really pretty funny to watch.
We had a quiet weekend again, that's okay by me.
Hope all my Glue Squad friends had good weekends, too.
    Your pal,
    Rebel

  • Hello Everyone: Good sleuthing work F&S, we also have two feline buddies that live with us, we like to chase them! However, its most always their hair that ends up as dust bunnies, ours does shed a little, but usually it just grows and grows until we go to the groomer and get a haircut! Well the weekend was sort of OK, Saturday it rained all day and was cold and dreary. Riley boy went to school, next week is graduation and he's got to work on his sit stay and down stay if he wants to graduate! Sunday turned out to be a lovely day, kind of cool, but good weather to get most everything put away for the winter. Mom and Miz Lu planted all the rest of the bulbs, Riley boy helped rake the leaves, and I, Martha supervised everyone. Mom and Dad put a snow fence up around the pool (to make sure we wouldn't fall in it now that it is closed) and I tell you, I didn't like it one bit. I always walk around the garden to get to my favorite spot to nap using the pool deck and now I can't do it. I must have sat looking at that fence for half an hour before I finally gave in and walked to my spot via a different route. I don't like it one bit! However, I guess I'll have to get used to it! Riley and Lucy don't seem to care and Mom says next year we'll get a safety cover and then there will be no fence required. I hope so.
Well, gotta go, its very frosty here this morning, winter is coming! Love and beardie bounces Martha, Riley boy and Miz Lu.

  • Hi Y'all
Girls, it's definitely dog fur here. The cats don't come all the way into the house, probably because they would choke on the dog fur. Yes, I shed real bad! George not so much but Zeke, he's as bad as me. Mis says it's like vacuuming a puppy up every day or two. Of course we also bring in dirt and dust. We do live on a small farm with lots of soft, sandy soil. George brings in leaves and branches. We are a Dysons' worst nightmare!
Yep, we got in trouble on Saturday, at least someone did. Mis doesn't know who. She was in Raleigh and she got a call from her brother to call us in. We?? had gotten into his freshly sown radish rows and had a bit of fun. By the time the message made it back to Jeff, who was with us, we were all sitting pretty at his house. Don't know nothing about radish seeds!!
    I'm not telling either!
Ruby, Mis sees lots of dogs in the home improvement stores in our area. It's like she told someone at the market yesterday, "the dogs are usually better behaved than the children". At least the dogs are on leashes! Dogs aren't allowed inside the buildings there but as long as they are being handled well, most don't care. When George goes he stays behind the counter on a lead with all his toys and a bed. One day Mis's Sis and brother-in-law had George in the front of their store and some market personnel told them that they had to get the dog out of the building. They looked at him and said what dog? This is George! Enough said!
Everyone have a Doggy Good Day!
    Dixie Boy

  • Hello Girls,

If you think that fur is bad you should see me when I shed :) But my fur would never make you sneeze. Mine is special fur :)
Well, something happend again this weekend and I almost sent mom to the hospital with a heart attack. It was around 9pm Friday night and a raccoon came in my yard. Well, that was the wrong move on his part because I stalked him and he didn't even hear me and BAM..... we were in s tussel. Mom is screaming and pushing that button that controls my special collar but I wasn't backing down. We fought and fought then Mike, our neighbor, came in the yard and grabbed me for mom and the raccoon ran off. If you want to call it running :) He was pretty banged up :) Me, I was fine. Not a scratch or a bite, just a little dirty. Mom hugged me and gave me kisses when I finally came in the house. She said she was so happy I didn't get hurt. I slept like a baby that night. I was worn out :)
Oh, and Ruby... mom started her decorating Sunday. And of course I had to help ;) but I am still doing some landscaping on the side LOL.

Have a great day everyone... off to wait for mom to go for my walk.

    Love
    Chloe xx

  • Finally! I've wanted PSI: Paw Scene Investigation for years! Now just turn this into a new webisode and you are all set. Did everyone have a lovely weekend and safe Halloween? Have a great day!

  • Wow, I had our post all ready to send when it just went way. Here is the Readers Digest Condensed version of our weekend...
No rest for the Chiweenie family..mom cleaned house on saturday~did I tell you we hate the vacuum?~everytime we would get comfortable, here she came and we'd have to move AGAIN..Sophie still hasn't gotten her Hedgehog back...Mayer and I are tired of her snarffy behavier!
Isn't Home Depot cool Ruby? People everywhere and the smells are divine! I am real partial to the bags of Cinnamon Pine Cones...I almost fell out of the shopping cart last Christmas cause I was trying to drag a bag of them into our cart and Jan turned aound just in time to grab me before I went head first onto the floor. It was a close call...way to go mom! Our fellow shoppers thought it was really funny..kept hearing people say look at that little tiny dog trying to snag that bag of goodies...
There are a couple of Bluejays sitting on our porch railing looking into our house...this will never do..gotta round up the crew and go deal with this!
Have a good day Glue Squaders
    Chloe the Queen Chiweenie

  • ..careful Chloe..raccoons can be bad guys...Cora-Belle was a champion coon fighter... always came out on top..but I heard stories that Lucinda went nuts yelling and screaming..and Ivy the Wonder-dog in her prime would never back down from a coon fight or coyote fight and she was a border collie..but they were true farm dogs in their prime..I am working on it..some day this shelter -rescue dog will be just like the Ivy, the wonder dog and Cora-Belle the naughty blue heeler..might take a while to fill their shoes or paws!..over and out, Chewy
