More New Outfits From PetSmart

Posted by F&S

On the first official day of autumn, the weather was quite crisp, so we Frenchies put on some of our nice new warm clothes from the Martha Stewart line at PetSmart and took a drive around the farm.  We really love these new clothes.  They're fashionable and functional and with different sizes, they fit most dogs.

Franny, I'm glad you pulled over here because Sasa looks like he could use a bit of company.

Let's get down and say hello. We can also tell him about our new clothing.

Hi Sasa! I want to point out that I'm wearing the Fleece Hooded Vest from Martha's line at PetSmart. This cozy fabric ensures wind-blocking warmth and this great style has a high-waisted Velcro closure for easy on, easy off.

Sasa, I guess it's just too soon for Betsy to get your winter gear out of storage. You big, strong Friesians probably tolerate the cold a lot better than we Frenchies can.

Hey, let's see what Betsy's doing in the stable.

Why, she's strapping boots onto Meindert's rear hooves. Because of his arthritis issues, Meindert does't wear horseshoes on the back, but he's very comfortable with these boots.

As days grow shorter and colder, egg production decreases quite a bit. Hens are light sensitive.

And of course, there are the two Pomeranian geese that honk loudly and protect the entire flock. Wouldn't they just love to charge me! Good thing there's a fence between us.

Sharkey, did you know that we have corn growing in the vegetable garden?

Francesca, the corn seems to be doing beautifully. Maybe we should pick some for corn chowder!

  • Nice outfits girls! Perfect for perusing the farm.

How about some corn muffins to go with the corn chowder? Or as they say in New England "chow-dah" :)

    Have a sup-ah day!

  • Good morning everyone,
Martha sure is creative with all these outfits. Karen was just asked to judge a costume contest in our area. I wonder if anyone will be wearing any of the Pet Smart outfits.
Kirby i hope you go back and read yesterday's comments to see how much support you are getting from the Glue Squad. We are all hoping the best for you.
Chewy, I agree with Lucinda. So does Karen. Dogs bark. That is one of the things we do. If you don't want your dog to bark then get a turtle, rabbit, skunk, gerbil, anything but a dog.. I am going to help Karen this morning so I will check back later.
    Love to all,
    Maddox

  • Good Morning F & S

Sharkey glad to see you ditched the moon suit for a nice comfy jacket :) Love the jackets.

So last night I'm sitting on mom's lap and we are all watching the news when a wild turkey crashed into our skylight! Mom yelled, Labs went crazy and I tooted - no lie my friends. Mom was laughing so hard I thought she was going to pee her pants. Dad ran out to see if it was hurt but it had left the roof. There had to be 20 of those big ugly things out on our front lawn. So that was our excitement for the night, a turkey and a toot :)

Kirby put your face up against the computer screen cause I'm sending you a big Frenchie kiss :)

  • Hello Girls & Glue Squad Buddies,
I love the new outfits F & S, as long as YOU are wearing them and not me. My boots are scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I can't think about it--OMG!! At least someone besides me wears boots--I love it Meindert. Now Brutus and Max, I do see your Bengals are winning big, and also Chewy your Seahawks, did you see my man Peyton last night? Wow and double wow. I must check in on all my buddies with their vet stuff. Kirby, your Dad and Mom love you clear up to God, so I know if need be, they will be your seeing eye people like Cora Belle had Lucinda and James. And for my little buddy Dudley, wasn't yesterday the teeth pulling day? Oh, I hope you didn't have to stay over night. I know how that would scare you. And Chloe, a muskrat???? Your folks need to set up a night camera like mine did to see where these creatures come in at. You know the raccoons don't set foot inside my kingdom, just the back forty. Maybe my pee scares them away. Riley, wow,you are a super geek learning and doing so good and getting an A+. Yahoo!!! Dixie Boy, thanks so much for my lesson in your weather. It sounds like a nice place. I do love our big snows though. Tell George to be careful on eating the Ottoman stuffing. I had a friend die from that--be careful. Kitty I hope your vacation from the folks is alright and Auntie can take care of you. Missy enjoy these cool days. Hope it isn't raining though. Zoe, it sounds like the smells of Fall cooking are at your house. First, canning, now baking. Abby and Jimmy did you enjoy your time with Mom and I hope Rebel's folks are back soon. Maddox, that will be fun if Karen does judge the costume contest. Everyone have a GEM of a day, and hugs to anyone my early morning brain missed.
    Love and licks,
    Ruby

  • Good morning ladies,
I'm home! Sorry to talk about myself first, but, I'm home!
Love my Dr. Becky, but there is no place like home.
Well, I sure do love the new outfits. I was glad you took the Kawasaki for a ride. Sorry to hear about Meindart's arthuritis. I know Betsy will be sure he's comfortable. Mimi & Papa love corn chow-dah, too! It seems most of my ducks have flown the coop, so to say...
I'm going to have to read the posts I missed to see what all happened while I was gone.
    Have a great day everybody!
    Your pal,
    Rebel

  • Hi F,S,&GK+ Glue Squad, WOW! Francesca and Sharkey, you two sweet girls sure do look beautiful in your newest PetSmart outfits Martha created!! How fun to see you today driving all around the farm to see Sasa, Betsy and Meindert, the chickens and newest baby chickens, guinea fowl, Pomeranian geese, and the corn growing in the vegetable garden! I always love seeing GK whenever possible so give him another hug for me! Sure hope you have another great day! Nice to hear from you Gail and Maddox so far and can't wait to hear from all of the rest of you great buddies! Mom will be taking me to my Vet in about an hour and a half to get 2 of my teeth removed and I won't be home until after 4PM. Maybe I can check back later. Hope you all have a great day! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
Yep it’s fall all right; only made into the upper 80’s yesterday. Today is really cloudy and it’s in the upper 60’s. Should get a little warmer by afternoon, but welcome fall. I just love this time of the year because I know winter is coming on with it’s really cool weather. Thanks for all the comments to all you out there in the GS. The pressure is still up in my eye and the drops seem to be helping a little; I’ll know this Friday. Mommy and Daddy have always taken good care of me for the past eleven years; gosh almost twelve now. My vet says that this could happen to my other eye too. Gosh I hope not; put your paws together for me.

  • Good morning everyone!
Francesca and Sharkey, you look maaaarvolousssss!!!!
Maxie, here....I'm starting to re-think this doggy clothes thing. Maybe I shouldn't be so hasty about not wanting to wear them. Bet some of those hot looking doggies on the bike trail would do a double-lookie-loo at me. Hmmmmm.
Brutus here....no thanks to clothes. I have quite enough fur for any weather.
Kirby....we are so sorry to hear about your eyes! I, Brutus, had an eye problem last year and had to finally have surgery. Thank God for Dr Rich because he saved my eye and my sight! Maxie and I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
Riley, we aren't sure what Flyball is, but can't wait to hear all about it.
Zoe, we have birds crash into our windows all the time, but turkeys????? Goodness, gracious.
We must be off...Mom has an appointment to get her hair cut this morning.....hope she doesn't start thinking about me (Brutus) going for a hair cut as well. hmmmmmmm.
The weather is great and we hear our patio and back yard calling...or is that Dad. Whatever.
    Pugs and kisses!
    Brutus and Max

  • Hello Francesca, Sharkey and glue squad buddies,
Such wonderful fleece outfits, Abby likes her fleece material so we will have to check these out. Abby is so happy to see the stylish Francesca again today!
Loved seeing the horses and chickens! What a great chicken house.
Kirby, hope your eyes feel better real soon. Those eye drops are really effective. Dudley, good luck on your dentistry! Ruby, you must be so proud of your Broncos. Rebel, maybe the ducks will return before migrating, still a bit early. Where is my sweet Kitty? Sounds like she is on vacation.
Zoe, wild turkeys and a toot???!!! You always have us smiling...
Mom is back to work today so Abby is doing her happy dance. She went to a high school reunion, Bird watching field trip, ran several times and worked out in the garden too on her break. She even had time to work in her metalshop...
have to go read more books, purrrrs to alll,
    James Byron Dean

  • Hi Y'all,
Girls, Stunning as usual! And what a great look see around the farm. Glad to see the new chicks doing well and don't those Guinea Hens make the strangest kind of noise when you walk up to them. Have you had and new Guinea Chicks born?. Mis said that they don't survive well unless they are well cared for when they hatch. And that corn would be best if it were the popping variety! I LOVE popcorn!! Anyone else like popcorn?
Sounds like an early Thanksgiving rebellion at your house Zoe! We don't have any wild turkeys locally unless you count the human variety, of which we have more than enough! George just pulls the ottoman stuffing out Ruby. Doesn't eat any, thank goodness or there would be problems for sure! Dudley, thinking about you and send good doggy thoughts your way. I'm sure you'll be feeling better than before real soon. Kirby, Sending prayers your way! Riley, tell us more about flyball. George may like to learn, he's really loving Frisbee! Me, I don't do 'Fetch'! Kim brought him back a stuffed duck she found on the beach yesterday. Izzy brought it over this morning. Oh, he loves that duck. He's got the most toys, but he prefers the living ones! We're beginning to fray like some of the stuffed ones! PUPPY!
Everyone, have a doggy good day,
    Dixie Boy

  • Hello F,S,GK and all the GS buddies:
Well, another fashion show - looking very nice on you girls, but not really so good for us - we have so much fur/hair that we don't need anything but what God gave us, and then Mom shaves us down in the summer to help with the heat issues! However, if you can wear it, go for it!
Well its Miz Lu writing today, and while I'm not the chatty one, I would like to express my thoughts on a very loud subject - my brother Riley boy. He is a barker extraordinaire (although I'm pretty good myself) and he gets so excited about everything! We do love him very much, but its kind of fun to steal his chewies and toys cause he jumps straight up and down and barks incessantly until I give them back. Eventually I really do give them back, just kind of fun to watch to show he puts on. Mom gets mad cause I take all the toys I can stuff in my mouth, but hey, I'm a middle child and I was the baby until he came along. Martha just looks at me, she is so laid back, and I really am too, but he just gets me going sometimes. Well, that's all I'm going to say on that subject, he just needs to keep his nose out of my undercarriage and we'd be fine! What a boy, can't live with them, can't live without them. Well, that's all for now, I'm going to go outside and sleep beside the fish pond, I love to fall asleep listening to the sound of the water ...... Love Miz Lu, Riley boy and Martha.

  • Ladies you look terrific as usual just in time for the Fall season.

Kirby Bear I am so sorry about your eye. I hope the drops help and protects your other eye. Your Mommy and Daddy love you very much and they will do everything to make sure you are OK.

Dudley how are you doing? Lot of computer maintenance so I know I am missing all sorts of adventures lately.

I hope everyone is safe and sound and had a lovely weekend!

  • ..I like your outfits..I have an old used homemade cashmere sweater vest for this winter..it is a little big but Lucinda says a few tucks here and there and it will be fine..Rebel, glad you are home,.. Zoe, a turkey.. yikes, we don't have those around here..Dudley, thinking about you little buddy.. and of course Kirby my paws are crossed for you...what a day so far.. a bath..the three of us got really wet..so much for the shelter telling James and Lucinda that i liked baths..good thing I had tearless shampoo and some wonderful freeze-treats to eat after ward!..I have a basket full of toys..who knew you could have your basket of toys..and sleep on the furniture and the bed..spent 2 hours in the house alone yesterday..it was great..no problems...gotta go, later, Chewy the naughty red cattledog

  • :-) . F & S you look very PetSmart!! Bet you have lots of outfits in your doggie closet.
