Francesca is wearing the Red Belted Coat, complete with an attached faux fur hood. I'm actually wearing something called the Puff Pajama, but it's really the perfect attire for camping, boating, or any outdoor activity.

Sharkey, let's explore this little rivulet. We had a lot of rain last night, so it's really flowing.

Sharkey, this is Polystichum acrostichoides, or Christmas fern. It gets its name because the fronds stay green all winter and are sometimes used as Christmas decorations.

Franny, don't you just love this moss-covered rock? Do you know that moss is made up of many tiny plants growing right next to each other? They attach onto surfaces with filaments and absorb water and nutrients through their leaves.

Sharkey, I think we should just sit on this rock for awhile and contemplate all of this wonder and beauty that surrounds us. In fact, let's blog part 2 of our little woodland adventure tomorrow.

  • Hi everyone,
What cute outfits. When I saw the water I was thinking that if you girls saw a squirrel on the other side of the water I hope your outfits are waterproof. Hehehehehe
Well gang, once again I did not get a chance to read all the comments from Friday and I won't be able to today either as I am getting ready to pack some stuff. I am in Maryland with the Roberts but Karen is coming this morning to get me. So this is a traveling day.
But I WILL catch up at some point today so I am up to speed on everyone and their adventures over the weekend.
    Love to all,
    Maddox

  • You look very Christmasy in those outfits, girls! I wish it were cool in Texas, but it's still in the mid-90's and will be for another month or so. Mom misses the smells and feel of Autumn in the Northeast, where she grew up. I am going to see if she will update my wardrobe at Petsmart for late November! Thanks!

  • Good morning pretty ladies,
Great outfits! I probably would be warmer in the winter if I would cooperate and wear the puff pajamas. That outfit looks like it would keep my back legs really warm!
It was a quiet weekend at our house, golf was rained out, BUT, GO BEARS! Mimi & Papa got kinda loud watching the game. What a couple of arm chair coaches!
Sure hope everyone had a good weekend, too.
    Your pal,
    Rebel

  • Hi F,S,&GK+ Glue Squad, OMG! You two sweet girls look so cute in those new outfits you got at PetSmart and Martha sure does make some great things for all pets at PetSmart! How fun to see the Christmas Ferns and the beautiful moss out there in the woods! So glad you were able to stay warm and dry out there! You both look so cute in photo #12 and can't wait to see tomorrows blog about this again! Hope you have a great day and hug GK and Martha again for me!! We had an awful thunder storm yesterday and the lightning came very close to our home and the thunder was very loud and made me bark at it! Maddox, sure hope you get back home safely and I can't wait to hear from all of the rest of you great buddies real soon! It was nice to hear from Pam from California on the 12th and 13th and hope all is well where you are! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • :-) A Monday morning and greeted by such sweet photos and outfits on...I love #1 photo very cute Frenchie girls.
Maddox I thought the same thing about getting the belly wet...hmmm, what about going potty?
Kitty was relentless last night laying down next to my face purring loud and her whiskers touching my face...she wanted me to get up and feed her...it was only 3:00am...I booted her down and she started playing with anything that made noise, worst was her trying to get into the closets. So I threw a pillow at her and didn't hear from her till 5:00am

We are planning to go to a Vietnam Vet reunion in Branson Mo for hubbies battalion, it's every other year and getting smaller, but always in a different place and state.

Got to finish my entry for Trail of Painted Pony, it's a Military theme...I'm late so won't get too many votes...actually votes are ridiculous it should be based on the art concept itself.
Oh well I need to do it for myself to feel good I participated. One day I hope to win a design that will be used on a statue..I have won designs but never for TPP production.

    HELLO TO ALL!
    Got to run...
    delia & Kitty =^. .^=

  • Good Morning F & S

Franny love the parka - Sharkey how the hell did you walk in that thing??? I'd have to chew my way out it looks too confining. Maybe if I lived in Alaska with 40 below temps ;)

So my weekend ended up better than I thought. Mom cancelled golf on Saturday and ended up staying home and canning tomatoes and pickles. I was very happy to spend lots of time in the kitchen with mom then we watched football on the sofa so I got lots of hugs and kisses :) Yesterday she went to the Eagles game came home and crashed. I think she did too much tailgating before the game. All I can say is we had an early night ;)

F & S can we expect to see more outfits tomorrow?

    Zoe

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
As I’ve said before, you wouldn’t have to wear those outfits if you would just grow some longer fur. Hehehehehe I know that you two like to show off your new outfits and too much fur would just cause you to get hot. I guess you could say that you are “hot” already. OK, OK, fall is on it’s way and cooler temps will be the normal. Yep, it’s getting cooler in Georgia now; was in the low 90’s last week and expecting to be in the mid 80’s this week. Wow, a cold front is on it’s way! Seriously now, my inner coat hasn’t started to grow so it will be warm for a few more weeks. When it starts to grow, I’ll know that fall is on it’s way.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Good Morning Girls,
You both look stunning in your new outfits. Mom is wondering if they sell them in my size. You know I like to look my best while out walking with Mom :)

I had a great weekend. Mom and Aunt Ann did canning, but didn't take me to visit with Zoe. I was hoping but it didn't work out LOL I stayed home with Dad and we did some catching up :) Sunday was all day with mom. She put corn stalks and pumpkins out in the yard and on the porch. I like chewing on the pumpkin stems ;)

Well, off to take a little nap. It's drizzling outside so I am going to cozy up the sofa :)

    Have a great day everyone!!

    Love
    Chloe xx

  • Hello Girls & Glue Squad Buddies,
Love the new outfits---ON YOU---not me!!!! The coat looks easier to manage for the business end of things if you know what I mean. Mom almost got me a Halloween costume the other day when she got my food. I hope they run out of my size in everything. The boots look like they will be a reality soon. Don't know about this, but it is better than holding things for a day and a half, having accidents in the house or waking your Mom up at 3 in the morning when you can't hold it anymore. I think you can address me at Ruby's Arc now, after all the flooding in Colorado. Luckily (or unluckily, depending on if you have 4 legs and fur) we just got rain, rain, and no flooding. I have just made myself sick and Mom too, over this rain business. At least when the boots arrive, then in the winter I can go on walks too. Even though my paws are webbed, too cold is not good. Soon, I will be a girl for all seasons. Maddox, hope you arrive soon and safe at Karen's and Dudley, glad you have Mama to protect you from the thunder---"cc" time when that happens. Delia, I know you are a champion and will get your painting used for TPP soon. Zoe, and Chloe, just think of all that good canning your Moms did. In the winter, food, glorious food. Mom cannot watch the news, because of so many sad things to do with animals in the floods. Say prayers and think hugs and reunions with their owners soon. Better get back to my nursing duties, and oh, big brother won and little brother lost--too bad--go Broncos. Did you know they say I love you when they have to meet at the end of the game when they play each other? Those are good sports, huh? Have a GEM of a day all.
    Love & licks,
    From floating Ruby

  • Hi Y'all,
You girls looks gorgeous as always, esp. in pic 12. Izzy needs to wear the puffy suit in the winter as her WaWa gets cold. (She's part Rat Terrier, part Chihuahua. The WaWa part gets cold. Get it??) But she will have no part in getting dressed up. She doesn't even cuddle in blankets much. Me, I'm a self heater according to Mis. But I will curl-up tight on cold mornings. Mis sometimes will throw a blanket on me. OHHHHH that feels sooo good. She told us the other day that we best get used to the chill, the heat will not be running much this winter. George just best stay on his bed is all I can say!
It was great weather here in Central NC this weekend, just as the AC was fixed. (The AC guy got a kick out of that!) It was cool with a slight breeze on Saturday. WONDERFUL!!!! We had a hard rain early this morning, but it's sunny now and a bit warmer. Tomorrow it's supposed to cool down again. We spent a lot of time outside yesterday running George down. He even tried helping Mis paint. He's got some brown stripes now. All in all, a ho hum weekend. Let's see if we can spice it up for Mis this week!! HAHAHH!
Have a Doggy Good Day, Dixie Boy

  • Well you two are indeed the cutest things in those ever-so-sweet outfits! Seems you had an interesting woodland outing too. I'll look forward to part 2 tomorrow!

    Angela

  • The fashionistas are back and looking charming as ever. :)

I too loved moss covered rocks, such an enchanted look.

Can't wait to read part 2 of the woodland adventure.

  • ..chewy here..Black mama took one look at the outfits and said she was out of here..I on the other hand think you girls look very nice..but being a rugged boy cattle dog no clothes for me..Dudley, we had rain but not the storm you had...even affected the Seahawk game..football is new to me..but I like the sitting on the couch and relaxing part...no snacks for me casue my tummy is still touchy...I am helping cut back the 90 yr. old honey suckle bush today..so i better shoot outside...over and out..Chewy, the naughty one

  • The girls sure look cool in their new clothes! Sophie and I talked about it and decided Mayer has to have a raincoat this year. Poor little guy has just been thrown out in the weather in the past....and we don't play that game at our house!! Besides he must have a coat so he looks as good as we do! Don't want to make him walk 10 steps behind us. Mom is stewing a chicken and it sure smells yummie!! Can't wait till some hits our bowls!
    Have a good evening everyone
The Cheweenies and Mayer signing out

  • Forgot to mention, it was sooooo good to hear from you, Pam in California. Mom says to tell you she thinks of Mrs. Bosley Chow Chow often with affection. I think I would have really liked her. Take care.
    Love and licks,
    Ruby

  • Oh you two are looking so adorable. I love the new outfits. Just what the well dressed pooch needs for the Fall season.
