Happy (above), was a lucky beneficiary of Adopt-a-Pet.com's Veterinary Care Fund. When her rescuer found her in a ditch, she was matted, dirty, and scared. As if that wasn’t bad enough, she had a life-threatening bladder tumor and signs of kidney failure. She was in desperate need of treatment. After receiving help from the Adopt-a-Pet.com Veterinary Care Fund, Happy is now safe, healthy, and fully recovered in the loving arms of her adoptive family!

For the remainder of August- all "Likes" will go directly to help more needy souls like Happy, before time runs out. And all it takes is a free click - Please spread the good word!

  • Thank you Dr Pia for the reminders. Max and I are reminded daily how lucky we are.
We would like to thank everyone for your kind words, prayers and thoughts this past week. It has been a very unhappy time for our family, but we are a tough bunch and we will survive. We love our Aunt Pat. She always gave us lots of hugs and kisses (and bits of food too!) And she had two cats, Lucy and Ethel. We are sure they miss her greatly. Lucy and Ethel are now with Aunt Pat's son, Brandon and his family. We hope they receive the love they need.
Happy Birthday Sophie!!!! Hope you receive lots and lots of presents....and cake too!
    Pugs and kisses.

  • Hello Dr. Pia and all the GS buddies:
Thank you for the reminder today to slow down and "be in the moment". Too often these days we find ourselves literally running from job to job, trying to cram too much stuff into just one day. We are all guilty of it, and we sometimes just need to relax, revive and reinvigorate! We take this maxim to heart, and get lots of sleep and R&R time, especially when the weather is hot.
Happy Birthday Sophie girl, 11 years is a grand age, and we wish you all the best returns of the day. Have a great birthday dinner, and we advise you and everyone in your pack to bark up a storm, just really let loose and have a whale of a time. Its one of our favourite things to do, don't really need a reason to do so, just for the sheer joy of hearing yourself make noise. Have a great day!
Love and beardie bounces, Martha, Miz Lu and Riley boy.

  • Hi Dr. Pia and Minnow, Thank you so much for sharing this delightful blog about so many beautiful animals who are getting good care and being so happy being taken care of by great people! I was such a lucky little fellow being taken care of by my Mom when I was 11 months old after living in a back yard not being cared for by people. The only friend I had was a kitty who taught me lots of things and I love kitties and dog friends now and especially my Mom! I hope all animals get better care always! Dr. Pia, please hug sweet Minnow for me! Happy Birthday to sweet Sophie today and Zoe, be sure to hug her for me! Hope all of you great buddies have a great day! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • Good Morning,
Great advice Dr.Pia! More of you humans need to write this down and take lessons from us to keep life simple!
Good to hear from you Brutus and Max. Take good care of your Mom and her family. Pup-Dogs can help cure lots of ailments including broken hearts so pile on the love!
Happy Birthday Sophia!!! Hamburger sounds great. When should I stop by? Just joking!! I'll try to come up with something naughty to do today! George had it covered from the git-go this morning. Such a smart boy, but why can't he get the concept of peeing and pooping OUTDOORS!!!! It's just so uncool! He's messing up my house and my rugs where I sleep. Mis needs to get a handle on this soon or we'll become a superfund clean-up site.
But I still like the guy!!
Yesterday he even tried to help me when it started thundering. He decided that he could make so much noise that I wouldn't hear it. Boy, he sure can get loud but I still heard the thunder. But it was a nice idea. Mis wasn't as impressed with his abilities, but you've got to use your talents and gifts! HAHAHA!!!!

  • Morning Dr Pia, Minnow and Glue Squad Buddies, I love all the pictures and captions today. How true, we don't take time to stop and smell the roses!!! it's about time we all took our own advice. Happy Birthday Sophie, hope Mom makes a special dinner for you tonight and has plenty of cake to go around. Brutus & Max, please be sure to give your Mom plenty of c/c time, okay? Only have few minutes. but wanted to say hi to all my friends. We may have rain this afternoon so better head to the deck for awhile or maybe not if its too humid, just can't win. :-)

Till next time - Go Pats!
