Rinze's Cooling Shower
Posted by F&S
As stated on Friday's blog, we followed Betsy and Rinze into the stable to see how horses take a shower. We Frenchies know the importance of good grooming and we were happy to see that the horse's have a bathing regime, as well.
You may recall on Friday's blog when Rinze and Betsy came back from a ride and Rinze was dripping with sweat? Well, that was a brutally hot day and we Frenchies decided to watch the showering off process.
There goes Rinze into the horse shower. I hope Betsy remembers to take his saddle off.
Of course she took his saddle off! So, Betsy, you use a regular hose sprayer with a gentle setting.
Look at Rinze drink that nice cool water! He looks really happy.
Betsy is gently spraying Rinze down with cool water.
This is not a full bath, but a relaxing, daily shower.
Betsy, Rinze is looking at you with such thankful eyes. After a hot and sweaty ride, this is a welcome relief.
Betsy, we're almost tempted to join Rinze in the shower. You use a sweat scraper to remove excess water, right?
You just pass it over the coat like a razor.
The scraper causes all the excess water to drip down and off the horse.
Betsy, now what are you spraying on Rinze's coat?
I see, it's ShowSheen, a hair polish and detangler. This must be why the Friesians look so sleek and healthy all the time. Wow, Betsy, we learned a lot today!
