Who Are Those Dogs on Our Computer Screen?

Posted by F&S

On a recent blog, we told you about all of the rose bushes that were dug up at our home in East Hampton and brought to our farm in Bedford, where they are all being planted.  It will be a beautiful garden with roses galore!  Ryan, the gardener, took photos for Martha's blog when he was helping to dig the roses.  He also took some photos of a couple of dogs, which we found uploaded on our computer.  Without too much deduction, we figured out who those dogs were.

This shot was taken at our home in East Hampton. I recognize the taller of the two. His name is Dodi and he belongs to Alex, who takes care of the grounds at Lily Pond. We've played with Dodi before, in fact, he was even on our blog once.

I can just make out his ID tag - his name is Rex.

Franny, Dodi and Rex seem to be having a very good time together, just like you and I. I'm happy for them. Companionship is so important.

Why, they're playing tug-of-war! It sure looks like fun, although my bets are on Dodi winning.

Francesca, they're tugging on a garden glove. This must be when all the roses were dug up for transplanting.

Sharkey, our Glue Squad friends must wonder how we pose for all of these photos so well. While we are very interested in Dodi and his new friend Rex, there is something else that piques our interest.

Yessiree - that Dodi is quite good looking, but so is that biscuit on top of the monitor!

  • Hey, there is a chocolate chip cookie dangling from my monitor! It ensures that I check on F&S and respond with witty insight! :)

You really don't know how happy my heart becomes reading the Daily Wag! :)

Dodi and Alex look like they will be great pals! :)

Friends are fine, but chocolate chip cookies are even better!

    Happy Wednesday to all..

  • Good morning everyone,
Those dogs look like they are having lots of fun. I think I remember way back there was a blog with GK playing with Dodi. That was so kool to have a biscuit on top of your computer screen. You must have a biscuit fairy in your house. You should put a little thank you note where the biscuit was. Speaking of biscuits, my biscuit ban punishment has been lifted. I knew it would be. When Karen gets mad, it lasts for about all of a minute and then it blows over. She was laughing about her recliner attack too. She was laughing when she was telling Mammy Jean about it.
It is a nice brisk morning so you know what that means. Deck time.
I will check back with you maniacs later. Oh, Karen said to say thank you for your concern about her recliner attack but she told ME that when it happens again, I should keep my mouth shut. I wonder why....... Hehehehehehehe
    Love to all,
    Maddox

  • Morning F & S, GK & Glue Squad, Oh, the old biscuit trick. We will do anything for one, right? It's fun to watch other pups play and always brings a smile :) I know when Mom gives me a treat, I just can't stand/sit long enough & that's when all my training comes out just so I can get it real fast. Maddox, Mom had to read your story a couple of times yesterday and the recliner attack - boy, did she chuckle each time. So glad Karen didn't hurt herself and that your biscuit punishment was very short. Maybe you should make a sign and put it on "Beware-Attack Recliner". Ruby, Mom's tulips haven't bloomed yet, but they are close, we just need a couple of days of warm weather and no rain. Dudley Do Right, how's thing with you? Rebel, any baby ducks yet? Kitty, sounds like you have been bringing home lots of critters for Mom. Abby & James Dean, anything new with you? Kirby Bear, are you staying out of trouble? Cora Belle, wheeere are you? Zoe, hope you are behaving? Hi Riley, Martha, Lucy, Baby Favor, Molly & Jake. Hi, Gail, Sonya, Lynn, Delia, Pam - hope I didn't miss anyone ;) .

    Till next time,
    Missy Chow
    xoxo

  • Good morning ladies,
Now you know how our mornings go. We look at you on our computer screens. It's fun to watch your friends have fun together. I like to play tug-o-war for a little bit. I can't pull very long. Mimi & Papa laugh when I growl. They say I sound like a big cat! I like to sit on the tops of the sofa cushions, too. So, somedays they call me kitty-puppy. I think about Delia & Kitty and I decided it's not such a bad nickname. You know, I noticed that cookie in pic #3. It just caught my eye!
Maddox, I'm glad that Karen was laughing when she told her story to Mammy Jean.
I'll check in later to see what's happening.
How can we check on Cora Belle?
    Your pal,
    Rebel

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
Well the ole biscuit trick got you again I see. And all this time I thought you two were pretty smart. I’ll bet GK wouldn’t be fooled by this. Then again, he just might because we Chows really do like our treats. Daddy just gave me one of those looks again. I’ll have to be short today; pulled a Zoe and smelled up the room. Computer time gone for today.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Hello Girls & Glue Squad Buddies,
This is very cool, watching your friends play tug of war, by way of biscuit motivation. We have often wondered here about how you all do the photos for the blog. Very clever indeed!! We do have a biscuit fairy in our house. I have come close to seeing her, but have not. I am getting faster, so I think I will catch her. She seems to appear at night when Dad takes me to do my late business, and then Mom is upstairs (she says she has seen her and she is beautiful) waiting for Dad and I and WHAMO the biscuits are hidden all over the place. Does the Biscuit Fairy visit everywhere?

Well, Rebel, I don't know what to do anymore about contacting Cora Belle. I have been sending e-mails and some of my modeling photos to catch her attention and no response. Does anyone know a Private Detective? Oh yes, Sherlock James Dean...what should the Glue Squad do Sherlock James Dean? Never before has Cora Belle been out of contact so long.

As for me, the snow has stopped, and we got about 6 inches and now to 70 over the weekend. Good, I say so Mudville will disappear.

Oh, and we can celebrate and have a PARTY, as Weston's house stuff is a go. Secretly for me, I was hoping no go, as I am going to be very sad. He plays lots with me and has his own Deli in his room. I still have a lot of issues, so no 4 legged puppy for me in my future. I guess I will just have to visit him lots after he moves. Have a GEM of a day all.
    Love & licks,
    Ruby

  • Hello Everyone - new dogs on the computer screen? I'm thinking you guys need to be checking them out. If I see (and smell) new dogs I tend to go a little nutso - I'm the smallest of us here, but what I lack in size I make up for in sheer fearlessness! I am not scared of anything (which sometimes isn't good, especially when it is a skunk I have found!). Anyways, its Lucy today, I don't write much cause I'm too busy patrolling the property. Riley hangs with me mostly, sometimes he's just really annoying and I try to chase him away, but in the end we are quite good buddies. As long as I can have all the toys (everything that I can get in my mouth) and can go out the door first I'm fine. We do sleep together so in the end it all works out. Today it is raining, but Mom says its going to be a good weekend, so we will be walking and riding in cars with boys! Flowers are starting to bloom, and the grass is turning green. I don't dig, which Mom thinks is good, but I am a little aggressive when I think someone is trying to take my stuff (although I have no problems in stealing everyone else's stuff!). Gotta go, need to patrol the perimeter and keep everyone safe. Love Lulu (aka Lucy), Martha and Riley boy.

  • Hi F,S,&GK+ Glue Squad, I am so proud of you beautiful girls who are wonderful companions and you present us with such great blogs every day! I remember seeing you girls and GK playing with Dodi when you visited Lily Pond and you had so much fun! How nice that Dodi has a new companion named Rex! Hope you 3 get to go visit them soon!!! Love that biscuit on the top of your computer! Hope you got to eat it! Maddox, sure hope you have fun out on the deck today! We had sunny weather yesterday and I got to take a nice walk again and Mom worked outside lots! Missy Chow, thanks for another great comment and you are a great buddy! Sweet Rebel, my Mom calls me a kitty-puppy, too! I was raised by a kitty until I finally got to live with my wonderful Mom! Hope to hear from the rest of you buddies! Have a great day! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • Hello Doogles!

Sorry I'm commenting late but I had a late night and did not get up until noon. My grand-dogter has been in competition and it's all very exciting to see! Too much time up late watching the live-streamed judging... I look like I'm at least 7 years old right now - thank heavens for Crème de la Mer!

Thank you for the hello, Ruby. My third husband was German. Sadly all he left me with was the name. Hence, I'm out working instead of frolicking in the Hamptons like some dogs (no offence F&S, I'd swap places in a minute!)

    See y'all tomorrow.

    Serena

  • Nice to see Dodi again and now he has a new pal Rex to play with. I remember when Dodi and G.K. got to rumble with each other. I bet you all can't wait to get back to Lily Pond to meet in person. I

I hope everyone is well. Thinking good thoughts that our pal Cora-Belle is doing alright.

  • Hello Glue Squad buddies,
very late but today was soooo busy. Mom and Abby just ate dinner at 11:30 p.m. after a hectic night at work. Abby is now officially a vegetable garden supervisor dog. she supervised weeding around the outside fence today. Mom is getting ready to put more poultry fence around the large scale fence. It should help the rabbits stay away.
I liked the kitty-puppy nicknames for rebel and my buddy Dudley. Dudley, its wonderful a kitty helped raise you. I helped raise two boy kittens before my rescue. They grew up to be fine boys too and were adopted by the hospital.
I think Corabelle will reply soon. Perhaps she needs a long rest, she works very hard patrolling the yard and chiweenies. We have to hope for the best, and keep her in our hearts.
Puuurrrs to Missy Chow, Dudley, Zoe, Camo Ruby, Beautiful kitty and all my friends-
    James Sherlockian Dean

  • I saw that cookie sitting on the TV, they tried to fool you girls...doggie sniff sniff...must say though they are cute dogs on the screen.

I'm in a hurry so must cut this short...sorry!

Hello to all the Glue Squad here right now...James Sherlockian Dean, Dudley, Missy Chow, Zoe, Kirby, Ruby, Dudley Do Right, Lulu (aka Lucy, Martha & Riley Boy....Gail, Sonya, Serena, Karen, Jan and Lynn :-) :-)
