Supervising the Plants Again!

Posted by Sharkey

We had such a beautiful Easter with so much great holiday decor.  In addition to all the fun bunnies, eggs, and baskets, there were gorgeous plants throughout the house, which were brought from the greenhouse.  I happened to catch Ryan as he was removing the plants yesterday.  I always like to supervise this job.

Hi Ryan, I see that you're taking the plants out of the house.

1 Hi Ryan, I see that you're taking the plants out of the house.

You know, you always do such a good job decorating the house with plants.

And the way you care for the plants really shows by how beautiful they are.

I think I'll just stick around and supervise.

These blue ferns - Phlebodium pseudoaureum - looked amazing on plant pedestals.

No, I can't play right now, Francesca. I'm busy supervising.

Ryan is now carrying a couple of begonias, which have gorgeous foliage.

And now he's loading up the Iwanagara Apple Blossom Cattleya orchids. Look how many blooms they have!

Ryan, make sure the plants are packed tightly so they don't tip over in transit.

OK! Off to the greenhouse.

You know, Ryan, I'll just go with you and supervise how you unload the plants, as well.

  • Oh Sharkey, I just love the photo of you peeking through the leaves of that one plant! :) You are such a cutie. And a great supervision.

I'm surprised you didn't drive and let Ryan ride shotgun! :)

    Happy day to all!

  • Hi everyone,
After reading all the comments yesterday, I was pleased to know that the Easter Bunny came through again. Thank you for all the nice stuff you said about GK. I am very proud of my boy. Kirby, where are you going on your trip and how long will you be gone? Are you leaving bright and early or are you going to read the DW before you go?
Nice and cool this morning. You know where I am headed.
    Love to all,
    Maddox

  • Hello Girls & Glue Squad Buddies,
Sharkey it looks like you are a great supervisor for Ryan. You two are a real team. On Mama Martha's blog the plants looked so beautiful throughout the house. What a spectacular Easter you must have had. I see all my buddies had a great Easter too. I was feeling so frisky after all my hard boiled eggs that I did some redecorating yesterday. I took 23 toys and 3 blankets outside for some landscaping decor. They would get brought in after I would take them out, a new fun game. Funny, I can't find the blankets today though. Rains coming later today, so it will be mudville. Mom has a collar now for her "pain in the neck", but just for at home. Dad joked with the doctor that now he has 2 girls with collars to take on a walk. Mom didn't laugh. She looks like robot Mom, but still can play a good game of toys. Have a GEM of a day all.
    Love and licks,
    Ruby

  • Sharkey, you are such a sweet Frenchie, always helping and supervising...Ryan must appreciate your presents knowing you enjoy being with him...Francesca how is the neck? Looks like you're doing OK

Beautiful plants, wish mine looked like that. It's the worst time of year for my plants, I either over water or not enough...that's because the plants react to the longer days and warmer sun through the windows...can't wait to put them outside...guess that's still a while away.
Kitty is hunting right now for anything that moves. I dread the first catch, wish she would not share it with me :-(

Have a great day...Oh darn!!! I just discovered it's Tuesday not Wednesday, got to get the garbage out!!

    delia & Kitty =^. .^=

  • Good morning Sharkey,
Keep up the good work girlfriend. Gail is right, I expect you to drive the Kawasaski & Ryan ride shotgun.
Have a great day everybody. Kirby, have a great trip.
    Your pal,
    Rebel

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
Sharkey you remind me of some of the people around here when they work on the roads. There is always one standing around just watching. I guess you would call him lazy, errrrr, the supervisor. I must say you really did a good job; whatever your job was. Hehehehehe I’m going to get really close to some wild plants in a few days; can’t wait. I’ll be in the Smokey Mountains for ten days. Depending on the weather, we will leave this weekend. The cat goes to “jail” on Saturday; poor guy. Maybe the next trip he can go but first we have to learn to get along without me chasing him. It’s not really my fault you know. If he didn’t run, I wouldn’t chase. Anyway, cats are for chasing.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Hi F,S,&GK+ Glue Squad, Sharkey, you look so cute in these latest photos and you are doing a great job helping Ryan take those great plants back to the greenhouse! It was fun to see delightful Francesca, also and would love to see GK when ever possible!! I love to help my family as much as I can, too! How fun to hear from Gail, Maddox, Ruby, Delia and Kitty, and Rebel so far this morning and love all of your comments! Ruby, sure hope your Mom is feeling better! Our weather has been nice and warm lately, but it is supposed to rain again soon! Mom takes me for walks almost every day and I love it! Have a great day every one! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • Hello Sharkey, G.K., Francesca, Ruby Tuesday, Rebel, Kirby Bear International Traveler, Wise Maddox, Hunter Kitty, Sweet Dudley and all my buddies,
Hey Sharkey, good job supervising! Do you have a learner's permit so you can drive the kawasaki?
Mr.G.K., sorry we missed your special running blog yesterday!! You are an excellent athlete and so very handsome too! It must have felt wonderful to run off leash! Soon, maybe on Sunday, Mom is going to start taking Abby back to the dog parks so she can safely run off leash too.
Kitty, did you find the chippy? Maybe you are hunting right now, ready to pounce, out in the spring woods. I am keeping an eye on the spring birdies from my window seat, ready with my big persian paws to make sure they stay away from my room.
Corabelle, and Rebel, we laughed because Abby has selective hearing too outside.
Ruby, those hard boiled eggs sound yummy. I like to steal Mom's cheese and drink her tea!
Glad everyone had a nice Easter! Back to my ESPN baseball teams... purrrs, James Dean

  • Lovely blog! I just discovered it and I'm totally charmed by Francesca & Sharkey.

  • Sharkey,

    You are so adorable!

    Molly

  • Hi Girls, GK & Glue Squad Buddies - Sharkey, you did a great job helping and supervising Ryan move the plants today. It looks like everything will be returned in good shape. You look very comfortable sitting next to Ryan in the Kawasaki and I bet you are a great
co pilot too. I hope you had a chance to play & run with Frannie when you finished. Kitty, did you catch anything? Kirby, bet you're getting excited for your trip, right?? Ruby, did you find out where your blankets went? Hope Mom is feeling better. Maddox, did you get alot of deck time today? Today is our kind of weather, temperatures in the 40's, but lots of sunshine. Rebel,, hope you are doing okay, DRR, I like my walks too and always seem to find something different on occasion. Abby, Mom says I sometimes have selective hearing too, don't know way & James Dean, how's the baseball games, who's winning? Cora Belle, hope you feeling okay, Zoe, are you okay? Hi to Martha, Lucy, Riley, Jakey & Molly, BAby Favor. Hi Delia, Gail, Sonya.

    Till next time,
    Missy Chow
    xoxo

  • Ryan does such a great job on Martha's farm. Thanks for telling us about one of the many gardening jobs he does there!
