Go Dog Go!

Posted by Pia

This past weekend I, once again, had the honor of being among the humans to judge the fabulously fun "Go Dog Go" show - one based on the belief that every dog deserves his/her day! This year I had Minnow tag along. Needless to say, she created her own show of sorts... and made some unique new friends...

Laura Betti, the show's founder and the owner of Pause Dog Boutique, went above and beyond in the planning of this year's Go Dog Go event! She brought an amazing crew of individuals and organizations together for a day of doggone family fun!

Funds raised will go to support the tireless efforts of caring organizations like HeARTs Speak and Have a Heart Animal Welfare Organization. The event also served to spotlight many adoptable critters currently in search of forever homes.

The Best in Show award went to Lewis, a super sweet pooch adopted to his proud human mama through Perfect Pets Rescue. Not only did Lewis land the top dog honor, but he also managed to secure the Wiggliest Butt Award just moments earlier!

Oh what fun we had! Too much to cover here- so be sure to check out the links above as there are many more fun photos, great organizations, unique products and worthwhile initiatives to learn about as a result of this year's Go Dog Go annual affair!

Dr. Pia Salk

  • Baby Favor, Happy Belated Birthday. My mind must have been dizzy yesterday. I hope you had a good party. Also, I wanted to say HI to Pam from California. I see she posted the other day. Bad things are happening all over. Now there was a terrible explosion in Texas. I hope all the Glue Squad members and their families are safe.
    Love to all you maniacs,
    Maddox

  • Hello Professor Minnow & Dr. Pia,
Ruby girl here and what a great cause and wonderful photos. Minnow, I wish you had been able to adopt the Great Dane. Then Mom could have put a pack on her and you 2 could have been a team. Just fun friends to meet and I love your new fab outfit. I liked the dog with the colored fur. Everyone looked marvelous and I am so glad you had a great day. I bet Minnow rested for days after the show. Those treats looked good too. Well, Glue Squad only 14 degrees and I must go out and explore. Brrrrrr! Have a GEM of a day.
    Love & licks,
    Ruby

  • Good morning Dr. Pia,
Can't type very well this morning. A super big thunderstorm is here & I'm so nervous.
Mimi wants the Sheltie, she loves them soooo much. Oops, a big boom, I'm off to hide in an empty envelope box under Mimi's desk.
    Bye,
    Rebel
ps. I think Minnow is the cutest of the cutie-patooties.

  • Hi Dr. Pia and Minnow, How fun to see you and beautiful Minnow at that great GO Dog Go Show! Minnow looks so gorgeous and must have had a great time meeting all of those other fabulous dogs at that show! Sure hope every one of those great dogs will get new homes with people who will love them! I would love to have been there, also, to meet all of those dogs and especially hug Minnow! How great you are back home after being in Italy for a while, Dr. Pia! Sure hope you and your great family have a wonderful weekend! Also, hope to see more comments from our great Glue Squad buddies today! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • People don't know how important healthy food are. I have 12 years old Golden Terrier and I always prepare him homemade food. Do you know dogs can live 27 years! Please don't give them commercial food. There are lots of healthy homemade food recipes, please prepare them healthy food.
