Go Dog Go!
Posted by Pia
This past weekend I, once again, had the honor of being among the humans to judge the fabulously fun "Go Dog Go" show - one based on the belief that every dog deserves his/her day! This year I had Minnow tag along. Needless to say, she created her own show of sorts... and made some unique new friends...
Minnow wanted to adopt this big guy but he was already spoken for!
So many pups and so little time to kiss them all!
The show's creator- and proud pooch mama -Laura Betti, had lovable Ella with her to help out!
Ella was there greeting guests and...
...and offering all sorts of entertainment!
Personally I think Ella may have been the one to secure all the media coverage!
... She is quite the networker!
Celebrity look-a-like winner was proud to strut her
Tina-Turner-like self across the stage.
All sorts of hound Hors D'oeuvres were available to snack on.
And Mark Conden was there again- helping to host with sweet Dutchess the uber special therapy dog!
Dutchess may be physically blind but she helps others feel seen in ways only she can accomplish.
Be sure to check out Dutchess' s upcoming book!
There was no shortage of cutie-patooties at the show!
Some took the competition more seriously than others.
Some were there in hopes of finding a family to call their own!
...Some simply wished to model that fab new outfit...
...or to be dapper for the day!
...Some wished to showcase a new do...
And others were just there to spread the love and encourage others to adopt a best buddy into their family,
We met wonderful souls of all shapes and colors!
Some were little...
...and some were big
...and some duos covered both extremes in size!
The important thing is that each and every dog got his day!
Judging was not an easy task...
But Minnow weighed in when I could't decide....
...provided she wasn't making the rounds, signing autographs, socializing or being sniffed.
Many a cute face...
Had us struggling with tough choices...
Ultimately, the lovable rescued pup Lewis here won, not only in the category of Wiggliest Butt...
...but also for Best in Show!
Regardless of the show's results, the overall message was clear and shared by all!

Laura Betti, the show's founder and the owner of Pause Dog Boutique, went above and beyond in the planning of this year's Go Dog Go event! She brought an amazing crew of individuals and organizations together for a day of doggone family fun!
Funds raised will go to support the tireless efforts of caring organizations like HeARTs Speak and Have a Heart Animal Welfare Organization. The event also served to spotlight many adoptable critters currently in search of forever homes.
The Best in Show award went to Lewis, a super sweet pooch adopted to his proud human mama through Perfect Pets Rescue. Not only did Lewis land the top dog honor, but he also managed to secure the Wiggliest Butt Award just moments earlier!
Oh what fun we had! Too much to cover here- so be sure to check out the links above as there are many more fun photos, great organizations, unique products and worthwhile initiatives to learn about as a result of this year's Go Dog Go annual affair!
