Alas, my suspicions were correct- Mariana and Dante were flirting for sure! I'm pretty certain I overheard them making a date to meet at the Piazza for a bowl of dog vino!

Seems many of Italy's caring canines sensed how much I was missing our own fur family! Many stopping to offer a lick...

Thankfully I got to visit with St. Francis of Assisi. He assured me that he was watching over all of our fellow creatures as their patron saint. He even mentioned Frannie, Sharkey and other Daily Waggers like Missy Chow, Kitty, Maddox and others...

Sending lots of love and pasta to my fellow Daily Waggers!
Here's hoping everyone is enjoying the signs of spring.

Arrivederci for now...

  • Good Morning or should I say late afternoon! Looks like you really are having an enjoyable time...I know what it's like to be so far away missing your fur-kids. We always say on our way home, "can't wait to see Kitty" funny we don't say that about anyone else...that speaks for itself ;-)
Great Photos Dr.Pia, you have a good eye! I really enjoy them, they are special...Thanks for sharing.

Glue Squad Friends...this Morning on GMA, the OMG portion featured photos of a baby sleeping with Frenchie Puppies...go and see online, an absolute MUST see ;-)

Dr.Pia I know your fur-kids are going to be soooo happy to see you when you return, and what great memories you can share with them :-)

    Avere un tempo meraviglioso!

  • Hello Dr. Pia,
Glad you are having fun and making furry friends in Italy. I was wondering when we would hear of your missing the kids. Mom goes for her therapy on her "pain in the neck" almost every day, and says when she is away from me, she misses me for just a few hours. I hope the kids had someone staying with them, like a Grandpa or Grandma or maybe you have a Super Nanny like our Zoe gets to have stay with her. Enjoy the rest of your vacation. Soon you will be home with your American kids. Have a GEM of a day.
    Love & licks,
    Ruby

  • Hi Dr. Pia and Minnow, Thank you so much for more of these delightful photos of all the great dogs and places you visited in Italy! I sure would love to meet new friends and play with their dogs, too! Minnow, I know your Mom misses you and your buddies and I miss seeing you, too! Maybe we will get to see you next week-sure hope so! Hope you have a great weekend! Hey, Glue Squaders, I miss seeing you this morning and will check back later to read your comments! Hope all of you have another great day! We are getting bits of rain, wind, and finally sunshine so I can take another walk! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • Hello Dr.Pia and all my glue squad friends,
I am sure little Minnow misses you too and all your furry buddies. We are enjoying seeing pictures of Italy and your new canine friends, any cats?
We are having some computer issues so I hope this comment goes through.
Zoe, maybe Maddox can help you figure out the predator in your garage that eats cat food. I know skunks and raccoons really love leftover cat food as do my possum friends.
Missy Chow, hope you are having an awesome day!
I think the glue squad can help with our powers of deduction to figure out Zoe's critter, let's put our thinking caps on....
Kitty, I will always be there as your friend!
Puurrrs and high paws and better computers to all,

  • Hello Dr.Pia and all my glue squad buddies,
I am sure little Minnow and all your furry friends miss you too! So nice to see wonderful canine buddies in Italy. Do you eat pasta? Abby loves pasta!
St.Francis looks very tall and benevolent, imagine he knows our glue squad family.
Maddox, did you solve Zoe's critter invader caper? Detective paw work and deduction is needed or maybe a glue squad SWAT team to find out who is eating the leftover cat food.
Ruby could storm the garage followed by Kirby Bear and Abby barking, then Rebel and dudley could throw a net over the critter....and Book 'em danno!
Missy Chow, hope you are having an awesome spring day! We had thunder boomers here last night but the sun is shining now. Abby is sleeping away on the big t.v. chair.
Kitty, I will always be here as your feline friend.
Purrrs and high paws to the glue squad!
