Given that this week celebrates Earth Day and all things related to the wonders of nature... I thought it fitting to give our fellow creatures a chance to share some favorite quotes on the topic...

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
And hello to you too Dr. Pia. I love to let the earth tickle my feet, the wind to play in my hair and the sun to warm my body on these cold days. There is so much to enjoy and so little time to do it. It seems that the days seem to fly by. I guess that I take too many naps and miss too much. Ah, the life of a family pet. What could be better? I know that answer; a treat and a quick nap.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Hello Dr. Pia & all my Glue Squad Buddies,
Isn't Mother Nature great? All these wonderful friends and the quotes. I personally like #1 the best. Mom and I believe Kahlil Gibran is our favorite poet and we love the friend posed to the quote.

This week was my 5 month anniversary in my forever home. Yahoooooo!!! I am overcoming many things through the patience and guidance of Mom and Dad's love, but....there was an incident yesterday. I am getting so good on trusting everyone and getting loved and pet, but yesterday we were on our walk and there was this roller blade person and he was crouched and racing fast by me and I thought he was attacking and I tried to do the same. He was past and I didn't get him, but it scared Mom and Dad how I reacted. So, as you can understand, Dad was upset, Mom came to my defense, but it boils down to I still have a little bit to overcome. I know I can't bite but sometimes a girl defends her own. O.k. Mom, no more talk like that, I will cool my jets. Have a GEM of a day all.
    Love & licks,
    Ruby

  • Good morning Dr Pia,
I sure enjoy naps on a sunny day on the grass & sometimes Mimi puts my tether so that I can sun on the warm driveway concrete. This morning I needed Mimi to roll my window down so I could smell all the fresh air. Mimi & I have a convertible and boy do I love to have the top down!
I liked all you pics and quotes, but #11 was my favorite.
Hey, Ruby, I think you are doing great in your new forever home. It took me almost a year before I was more than settled in. You know, so comfortable that you forget where you came from. I was with Mimi & Papa for 4 months before Mimi could pick me up without me growling at her. Now, well, we're best buddies. She would lay down on the floor and sing a good morning song to me, then get up & get my breakfast. She was very patient with little old me.
I'll check in later to see what everybody is up to.
    Your pal,
    Rebel
