Posted by Pia

Last week we got to meet some fab fur kids in need of homes, all photographed by animal-loving fashion photographer Richard Phibbs, who volunteers his time to lend a helping paw! This week the fun continues, with more fur models who need to be seen...so they can be saved!

The lovable critters featured in today's gallery are all in the capable care of the caring humans who run The Humane Society in New York. But you need not live in New York to adopt your new best friend! Our nations shelters and rescue groups are filled with loyal animals of every breed, color, size (and multiple species)- all waiting to love the lucky human who chooses to adopt them!

Even if you can't adopt a companion animal right now, there are many other simple ways you can help get them the exposure they need to find homes. href="">

These loyal souls- many former family pets- need our help to do this!
Let's all do our part to help get them the fanfare they so deeply deserve!

In kinship,
Dr. Pia Salk

  • Hi Dr. Pia and Minnow, Thanks again for all of these beautiful photos of more of these fabulous, happy looking animals who need perfect families like our Glue Squad, Daily Wag members, and Minnow's family have! I would love to hug everyone of them and play with them, also! My Mom belongs to the Humane Society and does all she can to protect animals! Sure hope all of these sweet babies get adopted very soon! Minnow, sure hope you, your great family, and your great buddies have a wonderful day and marvelous weekend! Hope you hear from many more of our Glue Squad members real soon! Maddox, how great that Wu-Tang and Sequoia did so well at that dog show! Hope all of you have a great day! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • Hello Dr. Pia & Glue Squad Buddies,
A bit late today, as Dad has been a computer hog. Ordering seeds for the gardens. Anyway, I think it is so nice to put these furry buddies photos on---I would love to hear from them when they get their forever homes. They all sit so nice for their photo shoots. Yahoo to them all.

Wu Tang and Sequoia, girls rule this show, huh? Congratulations to you and Mama Karen. Keep us posted on the rest of the show.

Everyone have a GEM of a day.
    Love & licks,
    Ruby

  • Hello Dr. Pia,
Better late then never...those adorable faces (awesome photos) I pray that they will find furever homes and hearts.
It's too overwhelming to see not only here on DW but FB and all over, animals needing homes...there has to be an answer to this...maybe stricter rules on animal ownership? I don't know, I just know my heart hurts seeing these loving faces.

    Love,
    delia & Kitty =^. .^=
