Fanfare For Fur Kids
Posted by Pia
Volunteering to snap great photos is a super way to help the loyal souls in your local shelter, get seen and saved by a loving adopter. Notable fashion photographer and animal advocate, Richard Phibbs regularly donates his valuable time to spotlight those most in need of a great head shot...
1 Elvis - Male Boston Terrier Puppy
Elvis is in the building! This pup is full of personality. He likes tons of toys, entertaining company and can also tell you the weather if you ask nicely. (See link in post).
2 Petra - Adult Female Fawn Tabby
Petra wins the sweetheart of the year award! She is a kind, gorgeous white and tabby cat. Litter trained and ready to share her love with a lucky adopter. Might that be you? (See link in post)
3 Chauncey - Adult Female Beagle
This super sweet girl is full of a puppy's energy and is getting gold stars in training! (See link in post)
4 Beauty - Young Female Velvety Feline
This stunning green-eyed Beauty is quiet, gentle and hoping to find a loving forever home. (See link in post)
5 Shelby - Adult Female Chihuahua Mix
Born in 2008, Miss Shelby is a cuddle bug for sure. All she wants to do is lay by your side and send you love beams from her sweet eyes. This damsel is a little on the shy side, so she scares rather easily - but she's working on that and coming along beautifully. (See link in post)
6 Matilda - Young Adult English Bulldog Mix
Playful, with a larger than life personality. Very well mannered, and sweet. Ideal adopter is someone with Bulldog experience willing to make her feel comfortable and offer her a home without other pets to share the limelight. (See link in post)
7 James - Male Red Tabby Kitten
A feisty little furball who would love someone to play around with. He is lovable and super easygoing- give him a piece of crumbled paper and he is happy playing for hours. (See link in post).
8 Russel - Adult Male Shih Tzu Mix
Super sweet and energetic. Needs a sensie human to help keep him calm and give him just one daily pill for his heart condition. He shows his love and appreciation with lots of kisses and loyalty! (See link in post).
9 Charley - Young Chocolate Lab
Super friendly but best in a home without other dogs and cats.
His training is going great and will continue to be of help when transitioning this lover boy into a lucky adoptive home. (See link in post).
The fabulous folks at The Humane Society of New York are always thrilled to work with Richard and his talented crew. All hands are on deck to help showcase the unique qualities of these adoptable little treasures!
But you need not be a Phibbs-caliber-photographer or paparazzi to step up and help shelter animals in creative ways. Anyone with a soft spot for critters and an email address, Twitter account , website or Facebook page can help with just a click!
These wonderful animals need to be seen in order to be saved- and they need our help to do this!
Let's all step up and get the fur kids in shelters the fanfare they deserve!
