Easter Bunnies!!!

Posted by F&S

We Frenchies were looking through some old photo files and we came across some great pictures of rabbits that were on Martha's TV show a while back.  Seeing that Easter is this weekend, we would like to share these adorable and fuzzy creatures with you.  We would also like to wish everyone a very happy and healthy Easter!

This bunny is a Flemish Giant, and weighing about 20-pounds, it certainly is big! The Flemish Giant originated in Flanders, Belgium and it is one of the largest breeds of domestic rabbit.

Can you guess why this one is called a Lop Ear? These bunnies are recognized by their large, floppy ears, some being a foot long!

If you think this bunny looks a bit like a lion, you are very astute! With its long wool mane encircling the head, this type of rabbit is called a Lionhead.

  • Happy Easter to my favorite two 'chicks', err pooches! :)

I love bunz! :) My nickname is bunny. For 'other' reasons! hee hee

Weather looks to be delightful here in NH for the weekend. Maybe Winter is a distant memory...

Happy Easter to the glue squad and all the critters that live on the farm.

  • Good Morning F & S

OK I'd be really pissed if I had to wear rabbit ears - hope you got lots of treats for that stunt.

F & S I was checking out Martha's blog WOW does she have lots of decorations. We would have a field day at that house stealing everything and playing tackle the bunny. I bet those grand kids are put on a short leash they sure could cause lots of damage ;)

I'm really excited about the egg hunt I usually steal a few eggs and run around the yard with them. I have to say it will be different without Precious because she would always find the egg the kids missed and mom couldn't remember where she hid it.

I wish everyone here at the DW a Happy Easter.

    Love
    Zoe

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
Well another week draws to a close. Things are really “hopping” around here. Hehehehehe Getting everything ready for my trip at the end of next week. Seemed like it wasn’t ever going to get here. My spot on my side is beginning to grow some fur now and boy does it itch. I can’t reach it so I get Daddy to scratch it for me. That really does feel good; love that man. I’ll watch for the “bunny” to come around on Sunday. I’ll bet I can’t find him anywhere. The cat didn’t want to come in the other night and it was down to 28 degrees. He was waiting by the door last night ready to come in. Live and learn I say. Have a good, and safe, weekend all.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Morning Girls & Glue Squad Buddies - yes, the close of another week and a holiday around the corner. Not quite sure about the bunnies at my house; they would probably hide from me ;) . F & S, love those bunny ears on you ...I think Mom still has mine from last year, I haven't seen them yet; but I bet they will appear on Sunday, maybe I'll let Mom have a minute of fun and let her put them on me :) . Zoe, good to hear from you, Precious will be with you in spirit looking for those eggs. Kirby, have fun on your trip, we want to hear all about your adventures when you return. Another spring day, sun shining, birds singing; maybe, just maybe, winter is behind us finally. :) Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend and Blessed Easter.

    Till next time,
    Missy Chow
    xoxo

  • Hello Girls & Glue Squad Buddies,
It would have been really funny to see G.K. in ears too!! I love those photos of you all. Me, I am not into behaving for hats yet, i.e. the birthday tiara and hat incident. I have never seen the Easter Bunny. Will I get to, will I, will I? Will he want to stay and play and party? It will be fun any way it happens. There is nice weather and fun times with family. Zoe, I know Precious is watching and will help you guys find any missing eggs. Kirby, glad the spot is healing, now new adventures on your trip soon. I can hardly wait to hear. Now everyone else of my Glue Squad Buddies, do you hunt for eggs, and have a party? Tell me, tell me!! Baby Favor I bet you have a nice Easter outfit even. Your Mom has really cool stuff with her drama career. Well all, I better go and begin my landscaping plans for the bunny. Everyone have a GEM of an Easter and I hope you have fun. Hugs to the parents too!!
    Love & licks,
    Ruby

  • Good morning ladies,
Bunny ears, hmmm. Not my style but they sure look good on you! Be careful around the house with all the decorations. Mimi put out baskets with stuffed bunnies & I had to explore them & decide if I should play with them or not. Opted out & played with my own toys instead.
Mimi & Papa were saying that they didn't see any rabbit tracks in the snow this winter. There must be a really fat coyote somewhere in the neighborhood. We do have duck tracks, though! Yea!
Mimi made Easter baskets for the grandkids yesterday. Easter egg coloring tomorrow & family on Sunday. Whew!
Have a blessed Easter weekend everybody.
    Your pal,
    Rebel

  • I don't know which Bunny is more adorable they are so cuddly...I hope not too many people give bunnies to their kids for Easter, it usually doesn't turn out too well JMO ;-)
F & S you look cute in those ears and I know you will do anything to please mommie Martha...thanks for sharing those photos, it shows what great Frenchies you are.
Kitty spotted her first Chippy yesterday and sat on the Big Rocks waiting all day for it to come back out. The chippy came out and saw the snow, said, hell No and went back into the Rock mound.
Hubby is coming home today, they made up for the bad weather golfing time by playing 36 to 47 holes the last two days...now that's desperate! :-)

I wish a very Happy Easter to all...don't overdo all the candy and eggs.... for me and my family it has a Special meaning...The Reason for the Season :-)

Stay Blessed, Happy and Healthy our Glue Squad pets and humans!

    delia & Kitty =^, ,^=

  • Hello Francesca,Sharkey,Martha S., Missy Chow, Ruby,Lynn, Zoe, gail, and all my glue squad buddies,
What great rabbit pictures! Abby saw a cottontail rabbit down by the garden this morning. He would not say when the Easter bunny is coming. Abby is going on an egg hunt around the yard with Mom tomorrow, she finds little colored eggs then gets dog treats afterwards. We have a lot of beautiful flowers here in the kitchen.
Kirby, i hope your fur and skin feel better. thank you Zoe for your comments, you always make Mom smile. Missy chow, big hugs to you and hope you find lots of treats. Ruby take good care of your Mom and hope her neck feels better.
Off to research more March madness basketball before work,
Have a safe, happy and Blessed Easter!
    love, woofs and purrrs-

  • Hi everyone,
I went with Karen on a road trip early this morning and we just got back. I LOVE the bunny pictures, especially the French bunnies. Hehehehehehe
I hope everyone has a great weekend and please remember that if you see the Easter Bunny in your yard, do not bite him because the rest of us will be waiting for our goodies.
    Happy Easter everyone
    Love to all,
    Maddox

  • Oh those bunnies looked so yummy! I mean, er, they looked so cute. We have been seeing evidence that rabbits have been passing through our yard. Well, we see the evidence until Roxy eats it. Rabbit poo breath is not as good as it sounds.
It will be too cold for anything but our winter sweaters this Easter, and that sound you hear IS Mom grumbling about it. But then she perks up at the thought that baseball season is JUST about to start!!
    A bientot!
