Sharkey's Wardrobe Malfunction

Posted by F&S

You may recall a recent blog where we talked about all of the tulip bulbs we planted.  Well, the last thing we wanted to get involved with was another bulb planting session.  We decided to sneak away from a magazine shoot at the farm, which involved thousands of bulbs and go off for another Frenchie adventure.  Good thing we did, because we found a missing garment!

Come on, Francesca! Let's go and see what's going on in the shade garden.

Martha is talking to Stephen Orr, the Gardening Editorial Director of Living. It looks like they're getting ready to plant a lot of bulbs for a magazine shoot.

If we stay here, they might put us to work planting. If you recall, we just planted all of those tulip bulbs in the terrace garden, so I think we should quietly slip away and have some fun instead.

Franny, a squirrel has recently been hanging out in this old apple tree. Thinking of squirrels makes me salivate.

Isn't it interesting how this trailing vine is growing our of the tree's knot hole? It must be very fertile in there. What are you looking at?

Sharkey, do you remember wearing a pink stretchy the other day?

Yes, this is the garment I was wearing. I remember being very itchy and scratching my back on the bottom rung of the paddock fencing. I must have scratched the stretchy right off my body!

The fabric must have gotten wet, Sharkey, because now it's frozen like an ice cube! We better carry it back to the house and let Laura Acuna stick it in the washing machine. Good thing we found it!

  • Good Morning F & S

More bulbs!!! You just planted a million - good move getting away from doing more work. Sharkey didn't anyone notice when you walked in the house you were naked? Pretty impressive you were able to get that stretchy off I hate wearing those things.

So last week I told you all how my mom was working so much well now I know why - the suitcase came out last night. Yup she is leaving me for another vacation. The good news is dad is staying home. This is her trip to Aruba with her mom, sister and niece she takes every year. I'm sad, our house is all decorated for Christmas and she is leaving. I should be use to it by now she's been going this time of year forever.

Well F, S and my Glue Squad buddies I won't be back on the computer until mom comes home :( I'll have lots of catching up to do.

    Love Zoe

  • Hello Girls & Glue Squad Buddies,
Wardrobe, huh? That is pretty neat you have lots of clothes. I can hardly wait to see this farm in spring with all these bulbs that were planted. Zoe, I am just getting to know you and now you vanish for a while. But at least you are with your Dad. My weekend was good and bad.The good is I go every night at bedtime to my crate. We are trying to get the alien Ruby from the past to disappear, but sometimes she comes out and I can't stop her. It was all my Dad's fault really, he left one trash out, while he took one out. Had to help myself to some bacon grease on parchment paper. Then he left some duck treats open and wammo I got them off the counter. It looks like training is in the works from what I hear. And also, a visit to the vet today. Yiks, I don't like change, and hope we get back home quick. Also, the t.v. was on and there were sirens and I went BA NER CO. Almost went through a window. Some things I will never get used to but hope they get better and easier to handle. Everyone, have a "GEM" of a day and I can hardly wait to hear about your weekend adventures.
    Love & licks,
    Ruby

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
“Ruby, Ruby,” kind of sounds like the words to a song. Ruby, Ruby, what are we going to do with you? You have to let the “training” sink into your head and keep that “evil” Ruby away. Now as for me, I’ve always been a good dog. If you could see me now you’d see the only long nosed Chow in the world. Ok, so I don’t always do what I should. Maybe I have an “evil” Kirby living inside of me. Maybe I misbehaved once, ok twice, all right, a lot of times. There my nose looks better. I don’t blame you Sharkey, I don’t like to wear anything either. But then again, I have so much fur every thing is hidden anyway.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Hi F,S,&GK+ Glue Squad, You wonderful, sweet girls sure do have fun when it's nice outside! How fun to see Martha and some of her 'Living' folks getting ready to plant more tulips! I recall you planting them before and how great that you decided to check out the shade garden! You must have been glad to find that frozen garment and how nice that Laura Acuna will fix it up! Please say Hi to GK for me! Zoe, I will miss hearing from you now that Mom is going to Aruba, but I'm sure you and Dad will have fun by yourselves! Ruby, you do have a lot to learn, don't ya! You will have to be much more careful and pay better attention to whatever Mom and Dad do and when you goof off try not to do it again! I know it takes a while, but you are getting better already! We had a lot of wind and rain over the weekend and it's still going on today-yuck! Will check back later to hear from the rest of you! Have a great day! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • Wow more Tulips? Not one tulip that I have planted in the past have ever shown up, not one? I can thank those ungrateful squirrels :-(
Yes how was it not noticed you came home without your pink sweater? well at least you found it! :-)
We have had really warm unusual weather the past week, 40 degrees higher then normal, so Kitty has been out a great deal and enjoying it, she doesn't go far, maybe into the woods and to the next door neighbors, I just hope she isn't crossing the streets.
The VVA party was great, everyone liked the prints I even got Thank You calls...that's nice!
As it stands for now we might be making a trip to Kansas for the Christmas Holiday, and sis will be here to take care of Kitty.
Kitty is sleeping next to me right now, I took the opportunity to mark her forehead with lipstick, she lost her bell collar so the mark is important to let someone know she is loved at a home.
Ruby tell mommie Lynn that there is a good lesson by Cesar Millan about going into trash and doors slamming.

delia hugs and Kitty =^. .^= purrs to everyone

  • I like the sneaking off part while MommyMartha has her back turned. Get G.K. to help out with the bulb planting this time. New adventures for everyone I see. I hope everyone had a lovely and fun weekend!

  • When I have an itchy back I too strip my clothes! Teasing! :)

NH had snow over the weekend, just about an inch in my area.

Right now the sun is out and the temps are mild! Loving this weather so much!

The photo of the vine descending from the hole in the tree is really pretty. Kind of looks like clover.

    Have a super Monday
