Our Home is Becoming Festive For The Holidays

Posted by F&S

On today's blog, we'll continue our tour of holiday decor.  The Winter House, where we call home, is getting more beautiful with each passing day.  There are so many trees to enjoy and decorations everywhere we look!

  • Do you guys ever break anything and then run and hide when Martha gets home? I'd be so freaked out if I was visiting there I'd worry about knocking things over. You better be careful with all those fancy bulbs and Christmas items sitting around. I saw your Mama Martha on The View yesterday she looked very happy making wreaths and painting mail boxes I tuned in just to see her. She looked so nice in her bright red blouse did you watch?

  • Again, such beautiful decorations.

I so love the Noah's ark! :) Where are the Frenchies? Or did the hop on the Subway! :)

    Favorite word: Pearly Balls! :)

Snow free in NH! I like it that way! However, weatherman said we could get some snow over the weekend. Nuts.

    Happy Wednesday...

  • Hello girls,
    Wow
    Wow
    Wow
    Spectacular
How beautiful the decorations are at your house. I would be going from the main house to the summer house every day just looking at everything. It is amazing. Maryha should have a tree and home decorating book for holidays. She is so creative. You are very lucky to be able to see such beautiful things. Watch your brother to make sure he doesn't try to pull trees down or anything or try to eat the animals from that beautiful Noah's Ark display.
Well, I guess you glue squad members got the email about Santa Day on Dr. Pia's blog next Thursday. So, remember Santa Day is now next Thursday instead of Tuesday.
    Love to all,
    Maddox

  • Hey Pam from California,
How the heck are you? I was glad to see you comment again.
I think about you often. You know me, Maddox the thinker. Anyway, I am very glad when I see that you post a comment. I hope all is well with you.
Where ate all the Glue Squad sleepy heads this morning? Come on guys, up and at em. I bet Cora-Belle is already up and barking at critters. I bet little Rebel is taking care of Mimi to get her better. I bet Ruby is running back and forth waiting for Will to do another training day. And I bet the rest of you are still in bed. Well, there is one good thing about that. When Kirby is sleeping he is not biting his tail. Right Kirby?
Ok, I will check in later with you sleepy heads.
    Love,
    Maddox

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
I think Maddox said it very well when he described the decorations at Martha’s home. If Maddox is the thinker, then I am the tinker. That would make Zoe the stinker. Hehehehehe I know, I know, Zoe isn’t here to defend herself but I couldn’t resist that one. It’s the middle of the week; how time does fly by. Before you know it Christmas will be here. Such excitement and it slowly builds up until the “big day.” I think I will go outside for a while this morning. It’s in the high 40’s; my kind of weather.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Oh, ladies,
How beautiful. We have some lovely green globes on our tree that were part of Martha's collection that was sold at K-Mart a few years back. We also have the creamy-colored pearlized globes, too. We add shiny red and matte red ornaments to the green & cream. Then all the other ornaments from 42 Christmas' that Mimi & Papa have had together. What a sparkly sight! I like our house at Christmas, too.
Mimi is getting better, but Papa's got it now. I have lots of care taking to do.
Actually, I'm kind of tired, I was up with Papa last night and a feel a nap coming on...so...
    til tomorrow.
    Your pal,
    Rebel

  • Hello Girls & Glue Squad Buddies,
It is like a winter wonderland at your house F & S. The most beautiful thing I have ever seen. With my arrival, Mom did not put up her 3 trees. Yes, Rebel, my Mom had to expand to 3 trees after 36 years of Christmas. It will be fun to see next year. Her Ruby Gem is the Christmas delight this year. Hehehehe as
Professor Maddox would say. Pam from California, Ruby here and nice to meet you. I wish we had seen Mama Martha on the view yesterday. Mom is still having trouble with the Bronk Ki Tis, but is going to the store and then r and r and tea and Christmas movies. Dad fixed Salmon last night, and wow oh wow. I got a taste and yummo!!! Have a "GEM" of a day to all my buddies, Rebel, Zoe, Maddox, Kirby, Missy Chow, Abby, James Dean, Kitty, Duddley Do Right, Pam In CA., Delia, Sonya, Baby Favor and every else!!!!
    Love & licks,
    Ruby

  • Hi F,S,&GK+ Glue Squad, I just love seeing more Christmas decorations at your beautiful Winter Home there at the Bedford farm! You girls look so cute and happy to see those decorations! How nice to see decorations on the canary cage, too! Pam, it's nice to hear from you again! Gail, I don't like snow and also hate rain which is happening again today! Maddox and Kirby, love your terrific comments again today! I write my comments very early every morning but they are posted 4 hours later now! Mom's computer finally got corrected by MSN and Norton so hope it doesn't get shut off again! Will check back later and hope you all have a great day! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • Oh how lovely, Gold Green and Silver decorations! I love the Noah's Ark, that is darling and great idea...I do something like that with a collection of deer.
You Frenchie girls look like you are having such fun...I wish I had someone decorate for me, it takes me 8 hours just to decorate the tree, hence no tree this year :-( just can't get the energy to do it. I do have a Tree on the front porch that I decorated with lights and xmas bulbs that makes it look festive.
I'm having to pack today...I just don't want to travel this time of year, but do want to see our daughter for Christmas.
Hello to all and wishing happiness to the Glue Squad and fur-buddies and DW...

    Hugs and Purrs! ;-)

    delia & Kitty =^. .^=

  • "Silver and Gold, Silver and Gold..." Gorgeous ladies simply gorgeous. Hi Pam I agree, I would be nervous about knocking over some of those decorations. I hope everyone is doing well. Zoe we miss you come back soon!

Update on sweet little Colonel Phillips who was horribly shot by the Chicago cop: He had his sutures removed is resting up. The vet gave the OK and he will be making a special appearance at the Furever Rescue fundraiser at the Grid in Chicago tonight. What a beautiful thing to do, turning a tragedy into a way to help out puppies in need and less fortunate them him.

  • Hi Girls & Glue Squad, Additional festive decorations and each room has a color scheme, great idea. Perhaps in the future Mom will be able to put up more decorations; but definitely not this year.

Sounds like everyone is busy and enjoying the weather.

Greetings to all my buddies. Will check back later.

    Till next time,
    Missy Chow
    xoxo

  • Hello everyone! Francesca Baby, you and Sharkey have been doing a wonderful job taking us all on a virtual tour of your home. Everything looks lovely, but as Mom said, the loveliest of all are the two of you, looking so happy and healthy. It seems a long time since I got to visit, but things have been quite busy here. Dad is getting a new knee (today, as a matter of fact) and we had to get a lot of work done around the house so that when he comes home from the hospital he won't trip over stuff and hurt it. Roxy is still learning the ropes, but she is doing very, very well. She gets her staples out on Friday from her spay. I have another week wearing the Cone of Shame because my eye did not heal quite as fast as the eye doctor would have liked. I am hoping I'll be done then and not have to have surgery. SOOO, it looks like we won't be doing much decorating at all, which makes me even gladder that we can enjoy your decorations!
    A bientot!

  • Hey everyone,
I hope you are all watching the 12/12/12 concert that is live from the Garden to help the people of New York and New Jersey that got hit hard by Storm Sandy. I think our Martha was working the phones. That was very nice of her to help like that
It is a great concert. I hope lots and lots of people donate money to help those poor people who lost everything and to help their pets as well
    Love,
    Maddox
