Christmas Cheer in the Kitchen!

Posted by F&S

The other day, we showed you a little of how Christmas decorations are going up outdoors at the farm.  It's also very exciting indoors, as Martha likes to decorate many trees in many rooms.  Lucky for us, there are even Christmas trees in the kitchen!

Francesca, don't you think that it's really starting to look a lot like Christmas around here?

It's really great that Martha decorates the kitchen with trees and ornaments.

Yes, Sharkey, but there's something especially enticing about this star ornament.

Franny, it's enticing because it's an edible gingerbread cookie! How appropriate for the kitchen!

With that in mind, do you suppose anyone would miss this one little cookie?

Oh no! Franny, the tree is also decorated with Santa Claus ornaments. What's that holiday song about Santa making a list and checking it twice?

If I eat a gingerbread cookie off of this tree, Santa might think I'm naughty and not nice.

Speaking of naughty, Sharkey. Take a look at this little tart of a Frenchie.

  • Hello girls,
I can only imagine how beautiful the farm will look, inside and out
When Martha decorates, everything looks just so beautiful and magical.
Make sure GK behaves and doesn't knock anything over or Santa will put him on the naughty list. NOT. He has a very cute face, like me and all Santa has to do is take a look at that face and he will be back in the nice list. Hehehehehe
What did everyone do over the weekend? It was a lazy weekend for me. Very lazy indeed
Hey gang, I think we ought to have a Santa Day. We can each say what we would like for Christmas. We know our humans read our comments so this way they can see what we want and they can help Santa to make sure we get the right gifts.
What do you think? Should we have a Santa Day? We could have it next Tuesday. That will give them a whole week to go shopping.
    Love to all,
    Maddox

  • Hello Girls & Glue Squad Buddies,
Oh my goodness, the kitchen at Mama Martha's looks like a palace. All the furry kids must have visions of sugarplums always. I think the Santa Day sounds grand Maddox. Zoe will be back by then and Santa will hear her wishes. Did everyone have a great weekend? I got my first snow. Just a dusting, but Friday night at 10 I was out jumping and trying to catch snowflakes---so,so, so fun. And then Dad started training with me on Saturday. He is a tough cookie, but I think I can have him trained in about a month. Does everyone else get snow where you live? I hope so, because it is the funnest thing in the world. I will check back later. Have a "GEM" of a day.
    Love and licks,
    Ruby

  • Good morning ladies,
What a great Christmas Tree! Now, now Sharkey, be a good girl! Santa is watching all of us. Frannie, do you really have a boa? You sure would look fancy. Hey, Fancy Frannie. Has a nice ring, don't you think?
I'm nursing Mimi. She has a very bad cold and can't go to work this morning. Maybe this afternoon when her voice comes back. Anyway, I'm being really good cause Christmas tims is coming!
Maddox, I think Santa Day is a super idea. I have my list ready!
We may have snow flurries today. I'm not so sure about that. I'm not as "winter-happy" like you bigger & furrier glue squad buddies.
Well, that's enough for now. Have a great day everybody.
    Your pal,
    Rebel

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
I missed you guys on Friday. Mommy and Daddy had to take some people to Atlanta Airport so they could go to Arizona. They left about one in the morning and drove all through the night. When they arrived back home, they just jumped into bed for some sleep. They didn’t get up until noon. By then there was too much to do around here so it was no computer time for me. We sometimes get a little snow here Ruby. Not enough to have fun in because it melts off quickly. It’s cooler here now, only will be in the upper 60’s today. Hehehehehe
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Hi F.S,&GK+ Glue Squad, WOW! You girls have the most gorgeous kitchen with that delicious looking Christmas tree and I would love to eat one of those gingerbread stars! Both of you look so beautiful and happy to be there! Love that little tart of a Frenchie who looks like you Franny! Would love to see the Christmas trees all through the house and of course, GK! Maddox, you sure do have great ideas and this one is super! Ruby, you are learning so much from Mom and Dad and teaching them a lot, too! Rebel, sure is nice that you are nursing Mimi and hope she gets better real soon! Kirby, were you alone at home when Mom And Dad went to Atlanta Airport? Wish it was 60 degrees here-it's only in the 40's! Sure hope to hear from Missy Chow, Baby Favor, Abby & JD, Cora-Belle,Delia & Kitty, and Gail again today! Will check back later! I had a pretty good weekend helping Mom cut lots of wood, but when the wind got rough I had a tracheal collapse and sure scared Mom, but she helped me breath again! It only happens once in a great while, thank God! Hope you all have a great day! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • What a cute white Christmas tree with those lovely antique ornaments and of course those delicious gingerbread cookies. I ate a whole package of the famous Nuremberg Lebkuchen the spicy gingerbread cookies while visiting Nuremberg this fall. That brought back a lot of childhood memories.
Francesca and Sharkey you two Frenchies have it made! ;-) as well as GK and all the other fur-critters living there.
Sadly I can't get into the decorating mood, maybe because I won't be here for Xmas...
Kitty has been sleeping a great deal, don't know if it's the weather (snow sprinkle) or this is what she will be doing as a grown cat...so funny when she saw the first snow of the year, she stopped half way out the door and turned around and said, NO WAY!
    I bought Kitty a catnip plant...schhhhh don't tell her!
Ruby Gem, Kirby, Rebel and Maddox (the only ones here right now)...have a great day...so for all those coming by later, you all have a swell day too :-)
OK...like it or not, I have to go out and get some Tchotchke gifts.
    till later.....
    delia & Kitty =^. .^=

  • Hello Francesca, Sharkey, Maddox, RUBY, Kirby Bear, Sweet Dudley,Rebel, BEAUTIFULLL KITTY, and all my glue squad buddies,
Wow what a beautiful, festive holiday tree! The white table top tree looks great with the special Santa ornaments and gingerbread cookie ornaments.
The colors really complement each other.
It must have been very difficult for Sharkey and Franny to resist those yummy cookies but they decided to be good or "nice". Wonder who is on that naughty list? Any t.p. playing pups????
Dudley, so sorry to hear about your tracheal collapse incident and hope you feel much better. Rebel, glad your fur is doing well and hope Mimi feels much better from her head cold soon.Delia, we will not tell Kitty about her gift, the glue squad can keep secrets! Ruby, first snow, so exciting!! Hope your mom and dad took lots of pictures.
Cora belle, stay warm inside away from the wolves and coyotes. Did anyone else laugh and laugh at that tart frenchie ornament??? Number nine picture just made mom laugh so hard.
Maddox, Santa Day is a SUPER idea!! Next Tuesday for sure. Mom is going upstairs to read so I'm off for more reading and TLC!!
Hope everyone has a great day and lots of purrrs from me and sleeping Abby- James dean the persian cat boy who loves Kitty!

  • Sharkey I see that look in your eyes about the gingerbread cookies. You and Franny look very cute in your little fleece tops. I hope everyone had a very lovely and safe weekend.

A very disturbing thing happened two Saturdays ago in Chicago. A Chicago cop shot a 7 month old miniature Bull Terrier puppy named Colonel Phillips in the abdomen and the rear leg after he followed his owner out to the van. The Colonel had to undergo a five hour surgery and actually had to return to the hospital because of severe blood loss and swelling in his rear leg.

He is back home again and the family is suing for the over aggressive reaction by the Chicago cop. What's also disturbing is that after shooting Colonel, the cop calmly went back to writing the ticket like nothing happened. Eye witnesses say that Colonel Phillips was doing nothing but standing there wagging his tail not being threatening at all. Also, the police dept. has been trying to intimidate the family into keeping the shooting quiet and wrote the family another ticket because they spoke to the media! The shooting has garnered national attention and now Colonel Phillips has a Facebook page to keep everyone up-to-date on his recovery. Everyone stay safe out there!

  • What a darling tree and adornments!

One little nibble from the cookie will still keep you on the 'nice' list. I think! :)

    The frenchie ornament is adorable!

Wouldn't it be wonderful if Martha had a critter Christmas tree? Filled with ornaments that reflect the furry creatures of the farm! :)

    Ho ho ho

  • ..Santa tuesday..wow..what a great idea!..and Dudley my little buddy, glad you are okay!..you frenchies are funny little guys..I am helping Lucinda make some chocolate chip cookies today...yes, that is ugly about the poor little doggie that got shot..but I think policemen are stressed to the max and sometimes not thinking properly...I know my son-in-law the police-man in Las Vegas deals with a lot of horrific, gruesome things and yet still can turn it off when he comes home..we must remember there are two sides to every story..yes, I am off my soap box now, forgive me, fellow doggers I went a little crazy..love, Cora-Belle the cattle dog
