Too Much Bad Weather
Posted by F&S
No one can deny that strange things are going on with the weather. Who would ever dream that a major hurricane would slam the northeast? People and animals barely caught their breath before being dumped on by a ton of snow. What next?
1 Francesca! It's the beginning of November and Mother Nature has dealt another harsh blow. Can you believe that first we get a hurricane followed by a snow storm?
2 Hey! We haven't seen the donkeys, Clive, Rufus, and Billie for a few days. Let's go and visit them.
3 Hi there Clive. You donks must have been kind of scared with all that wind howling during the hurricane. We Frenchies were wondering how you fared.
4 Sharkey, whenever the wind starts to blow like crazy, I just think of that fairy tale, The Three Little Pigs. You may recall that the Big Bad Wolf was able to blow down the two pigs' houses made of straw and the other made of wood.
5 To continue the story, Sharkey, The Big Bad Wolf was unsuccessful in blowing down the third pig's house made of bricks.
6 Well, our stable is very solid as it has thick walls made of stone and by the hair on our chinny chin chins, we donkeys felt quite safe and sound in our stall even when Hurricane Sandy was at her fiercest.
7 Hi Meindert! The donkeys told us that all of you equines felt very safe inside the stone stable during the hurricane, but now look at all of this snow we have to deal with!
8 Yes, Sharkey, the hurricane was quite scary, but we do feel safe tucked away in this stable. However, I must warn you Frenchies of another danger that's lurking.
9 Please stay far away from the roof line, as snow has been avalanching off of it.
10 You wouldn't enjoy being buried in snow when it comes crashing down!
