Polishing Beautiful Silver
Posted by F&S
Martha had a dinner party last night and there was a lot to do in preparation. Chef Pierre came to cook the food and Laura Acuna set a beautiful table. Of course, some of the silver needed polishing and we Frenchies always like to help with that chore.
1 Oh goody! Laura is cleaning Martha's silver. I've read that silver has a bad habit of tarnishing when it is exposed to air or water containing ozone or hydrogen sulfide.
2 Sharkey, grab a rag and let's help her out. I really LOVE shiny silver - I like to look at my reflection in it and admire my adorable face.
3 Martha only uses Wright's Silver Cream. The history of this stuff is really fascinating - apparently old Mr. Wright got the idea for this product when he found a cow stuck in mud.
4 He noticed that when he wiped the mud off the silver cow bell, the bell became shiny! That mud contained some really neat minerals that help to polish silver.
5 Hey Franny! Did you know that silver is going for $31.61 an ounce? We could sure sell this for some serious cash!
6 I think we should hold onto this silver service bell, however. After we sell the rest of the silver, we'll be so rich that we could hire our very own butler!
7 But Sharkey, I've got some other ideas for what we can use all this silver for.
8 I mean, who needs napkin rings when they can be melted down and turned into beautiful new silver collars?
9 Oh dream on, Franny. You know that Martha would be very unhappy with us. Let's just keep on polishing.
