Winning Blue Ribbons!

Posted by F&S

If you got the impression from yesterday's blog that we weren't having too much fun in Maine, that simply isn't the case.  We were just stating the fact that not everything is fun and games and worldly dogs, as we are, experience lulls just like everybody else.  But, today's blog makes up for everything because we are winners!!!

Well hello, ladies. It looks as though this is some kind of dog show and we would very much like to enter. Can you please put us on the list?

Is this lady for real? Something isn't quite right with her face!

She has whiskers, just like a dog!

There are so many different kinds of dogs here. I wonder how they will be judged?

Hello, collie. You say you recognize me from Westminster? Yes, my name is G.K. and I won best of breed this year. It was a very proud moment for me.

Well, would you look at that! We won blue ribbons, although they're kind of silly. G.K. won for 'Best Tongue' and we Frenchies won for 'Best Behavior.' Ha!!!

Uncle Carlos, thanks for taking us to the dog show. It wasn't exactly Westminster, but what the heck! We won, anyway!

  • All the furry friends Martha has on her farm and household are winners in my book! :)

  • Hi all,
Yes, the three of you are definitely winners. You are the cream of the crop and Uncle Carlos takes excellent care of you when you are in his care and he does things with you and takes you places. That is wonderful And on top of that Martha does all sorts of things with you No boring going on there
I will catch up with everyone's adventures in the next couple of days. Until then I will just have little comments. Running the house is hard work. Geez. And now Karen got some kind of infection in her leg since she is in the hospital so now we don't know when she is coming home. I hope it is soon so I can go back to my routine thinking about things.
Karen said I should be sure to tell everyone that she really appreciates all the good thoughts and you guys are the best
    Love to all,
    Maddox

  • Whoo Hoo!!! Way to go girls!!

    Hugs and kisses,
    Finnegan

  • Hello Ladies & G.K. & Glue Squad Buddies,
What fun with Uncle Carlos& blue ribbons on top of it. I love seeing you all together on that 3 way leash. He is the best taking you wonderful places. I saw today you girls at the gym with Mama "M" keeping in shape. Kirby you better be careful or Dad will figure out a straight jacket soon. Hope you got loads of Maple Bars Cora Belle & Missy Chow I think it was a marvelous check up. You are quite the young lady these days. I have something very WONDERFUL to tell you all, and I know the Warrior Prince Basil is reading this one----remember after Basil's passing, told you of donating his special prescription food to his specialist's office to help another? We received a very heartfelt thanks I am sharing with you today. The mail read, "saved the tag from your donated dog food, have been meaning to thank you for your kindness. ...with 2 high maintenance Vizslas and money really tight, your donation couldn't have gone to someone who needed it more, who loves their dogs more,or who appreciated it more..my girl is diabetic, has had lots of pancreas problems, cancer surgery, cataract surgery with artificial lens implants and on and on....I may end up finishing off my life savings to keep her alive so some help with some otherwise very pricey dog food, again, couldn't have been appreciated more.P.S.you must have lost a dear friend to have left over food--my most sinere condolences..my best to you both.RJM
I know I am being long but this is so extraordinary from someone special. Our Warrior Prince is helping from the Rainbow Bridge. I encouraged RJM to let the Vizslas kids get on the computer and join the Daily Wag family, as you are all such great friends. I hope you see this RJM and join us. You are very special caring and loving for your furry family. Thank you again.
    Hugs & smiles,
    Lynn

I really like seeing you three all tied together. I bet that's fun!
What a great dog show! Something for all. It's not surprising that you ladies got a blue ribbon for good behavior. You should get one for the best acting job too! LOL

  • All three of you are the best winners around. You three are so lucky to have Uncle Carlos to do so many fun things with.

Lynn what a marvelous story about your generosity to help out another dog in need. Kirby Bear, thinking good thoughts about you boy that you and your tail can take it easy. Everyone have a lovely day!

  • wow, a three way leash..hope the Chiweenies don't see that..since they are coming to visit for a couple days..their folks are older and need a chiweenie break...time to hide my Warrior Prince cookies...Karen, hope your leg heals quickly, I will eat a maple bar for you..Zoe, are you ready to practice your nursing skills on your Dad?..Hope none of my dogger buddies are in danger of Isaac..everybody be safe..must get outdoors and do some barking and spying around before the goons get here..bye, love, Cora-Belle

  • Hi girls and G.K.,
My name is Randy and I'm a ten-year-old mixed breed. I was at the Pet Show too! My whole family volunteers there; in fact, they rescued me from the SPCA last November. They love to show me off. However, I really don't like the outdoors very much, so when you were registering I was hiding under a table with a long tablecloth. It was as close to the indoors as I could get that day! Oh well, it was fun.
    Randy

  • Looks like the three Stooges had doggy fun! :-)
