Bath Time for Frenchies!
Posted by Sharkey
The other day, Franny took off after a pesky squirrel and went tearing through a paddock. She must have run into a pile of manure because she came home stinking to high heaven. Laura Acuna took one whiff and immediately filled a basin with warm water and plopped Francesca into it.
1 Laura, is it really bath time again? I care about my hygiene just as much as the next girl, but I want to run and play, not take a bath!
2 Okay, fine, but make sure you wash every wrinkle under my neck!
3 Oh Franny, stop complaining! Taking a bath isn't such a big deal. In fact, it's important to our health!
4 While dogs groom themselves regularly, there are certain times when a bath is needed. We do a pretty good job ourselves, but our tongues can only do so much!
5 If dirt and bacteria get past our fur and onto our skin, we can develop skin infections and even those dreaded hot spots!
6 Cleaning is also a sign of affection for us and it can be a bonding experience for you and your pup! I love you Laura!
7 And, Francesca, you know this whole ordeal could have been avoided if you would stop chasing squirrels through the manure in the paddocks!
8 Honestly, Franny, I think you need to learn to control your wild side!
9 I managed to control myself when I saw that squirrel and look at me! I don't need a bath!
10 Wait a minute, Laura, what's going on? I didn't go running through manure!
11 I guess I spoke too soon! Well, Franny, I guess we'll both be clean now!
