Minnow's win is a testament to millions of loyal animals who end up homeless and hoping to be adopted in U.S. shelters every year.

We feel so very fortunate to have Minnow on our Daily Wag team! We welcome feedback from others who have experienced the very special love and loyalty that these often misunderstood, adopted shelter animals, have to offer!

  • Hello Dr. Pia and Gold Medalist Minnow,
We are so lucky at the Daily Wag to see these never before seen photos of Minnow and her family and coach. I love them all and totally agree that adoption is a "good thing." May today bring much healing to our DW family---Zoe's Dad and his surgery go well, Karen get well and out of the hospital, and dear boy Kirby get the itching gone and tail well. Have a great day in the neighborhood.
    Hugs & smiles,
    Lynn

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
And hello to you too Dr. Pia. I didn’t get to use the computer yesterday at all. Daddy was away most of the day and he had the computer in sleep mode. I guess that when the computer is sleeping I should be doing the same. I’m sorry that I missed the Summer Fur Games; must have been a great time. Ok now everyone. I have a new “cone” now and it is stiffer than the other one; can’t reach my tail now. Things are looking up now for me; the weather is cooling down a little. Won’t be long and my new fur will be coming in and winter will be on the way. I won’t use the “S” word but I do like that white stuff all over the ground. By “white stuff” I don’t mean TP Zoe. Hehehehehe
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Ooooh,Dr Pia,
I think that Minnow is way to cute! The Fur Olympics looked very exciting. To have a gold medalist in our squad is truly and honor.
Hey, Lynn, thanks for reminding us about Zoe's Dad. Got my paws crossed for him. Sending my best thoughts his way and to Karen, too.
Kirby Bear, what to say. Time heals all wounds? Does that help? I don't really like the "s" word 'cause I'm little like Minnow, but I know you have lots of fur and just love the winter. If that helps you get better then bring it on.
    Have a great day everybody.
    Your pal,
    Rebel

  • Hi Dr. Pia and Gold Medal Winner, Minnow, I absolutely love seeing all of these great photos of my sweet girlfriend Minnow and all of her wonderful brothers and sisters at the animal shelter! OH! how I would love to be there to support her for that great Gold Medal she won! Her family was so supportive and I would love to hug her like all of them do-so special! So many of these photos of Minnow, look a lot like me, except I am a bit darker and weigh a bit more! Minnow and Dr. Pia, sure hope you have a great weekend! Lynn, I loved your comments yesterday and how thoughtful you helped animals in need! Kirby, so glad you have a new cone and your tail will now heal! Hope to hear from more of you Glue Squaders later! Hope all of you have a great, safe day! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • Hello all,
Minnow you look so sweet in these photos. Thank you for sharing then with us. That was a very special thing you did.
Where us everybody today. I thought I was late but so are others.
I will be glad when Karen gets out of the hospital. This being in charge is a lot of hard work. Karen is very tired and still doesn't know when she can come home. She has some kind of infection going on that she can't seem to shake. But I know she will do it cause she is tough. I am sorry I am not keeping up with everyone like I normally do but right now I have to focus on helping at home.
Zoe, I hope you are being a good nurse. Lynn that was so nice what the lady said that got Basil's food that you donated. As for the rest of you I promise I will catch up when Karen gets home cause then I will have more time for all of you, my Glue Squad family. And I know that Karen wants to say something too when she gets home
    Love to all.
    Maddox

  • Hello Dr.Pia, Superstar Minnow, Luna, Max the gorgeous cat, Olive the feline jumper, Lynn, Kirby and all my glue squad friends-
Karen,I want to wish you a speedy recovery first of all. Hope you come home to my buddy and mentor Maddox soon! Zoe, hope your Dad feels better after his surgery today and that he gets well soon! Kirby Bear, hope your tail feels much better soon and that the cone does not get "hot".
I loved the photos today of Minnow and all her furry family, especially the one of Minnow cuddling with Max the cat. We cats are good friends to our glue squad canine buddies. Kitty is one of my heroes in the cat world. Lynn, how nice you donated that special diet to help another dog in need. Rebel, hope you are safe from Isaac in Illinois. Missy Chow, congratulations on the good vet visit. Mom takes Abby there all the time and she said its not that scary. Cora belle, hope you are partying by the river with the chiweenies. Dudley, Chloe, Zoe, Sonya, Delia,Poco, hugs to all of you and purrs.
Mom is taking a trip to Massachusetts today!! Road trip time so I am typing for Abby..Have a great weekend to all and be safe- Love, James Byron Dean the persian cat

  • ...great photos..Minnow, you are truly a winner!...Zoe, hope all is well with your dad..Maddox, give Karen a big lick for me, and I will do a lot of barking today..that should speed up her recovery...and Kirby, good luck with the new cone..I like cooler weather, too...I have a huge fatty tumor hanging down off my tummy.., my vet, Lisa says to leave it alone at 16 yrs. old..getting old is not for the faint of heart..Chiweenies say "hi" to everyone..naughty little guys want to go out and race around..so later, love, Cora-Belle..p.s...during the nite the deer ate all our tomato plants, Lucinda says they have to eat, too, and they have little babies to take care off..I like them because that is a naughty thing to do..and naughty is my middle name!

  • Who knew I would like a doggy blog. So cute.

  • AWWWWW, Minnow you are too cute!!!! I just love your sweet face....smooches to you! ;-)
