Decorating for Easter
Posted by Francesca
Well, we don’t know about your house, but ours is turning into an Easter extravaganza! We’ve been told that Martha has invited a lot of parents and their children for Easter lunch and a good old-fashioned Easter egg hunt. That’s going to be fun!
1 Sharkey! I spy something fuzzy on this little table!
2 I think some of our toys are up there!
3 Francesca, you're so silly. These are not our toys! The house is being decorated for Easter. This table is covered in bunnies. Because rabbits have multiple births, they're considered a symbol of fertility and rebirth.
4 Right, and eggs have long been considered the seed of life. Christians regard the egg as a symbol of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
5 Hey, let's help finish decorating for Easter! What's this orange thing?
6 Oh, Franny! It's a felt carrot filled with...sniff sniff...chocolates! Don't you remember that crafter Kristin St. Clair just made them on Martha's Show?
7 Let's see what else we have in the bins to decorate with. Say, Sharkey, we have a lot more fuzzy bunnies and chicks! Should we put some on the dining table?
8 There, right next to the chocolate bunnies. Those little guys sure are cute, don't you think?
9 Laura! Aren't you proud of us? Look how we're helping you decorate!
10 Oh yes, we definitely need more chicks! Let me have that one and then Sharkey can put it on the table with the others!
11 There. Now doesn't that look nice? Baby Jude is going to love everything on this table at Easter!
