More Adventures in New York City

Posted by F&S

After so much fun and so many adventures touring the streets of New York City, we, Frenchies, thought it would be a good idea to pop into the Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia space in the landmark Starrett Lehigh building.  It’s always inspirational visiting the offices.

Sharkey, while window shopping and meeting new dogs is fun, we should really should stop by Martha's office and catch up on a little work. We are, after all, famous entrepreneur Frenchies!

Franny, I was just making friends with these tiny pups! Hey there! Don't be shy! Just because we're a bit bigger than you, doesn't mean we're not friendly!

  • Hello Ladies,
You girls are the ever present strength at Mama Martha's magazine. I can see you both have so much to offer of your vast knowledge of everything. You sure do look very tired however after a full day of keeping everyone on their toes. I like the idea of #12---rest and relax. That is old Basil Boy's motto. Mom and I had a great day. I rested and she played and then I rested more and we cuddled. Oh, and Cora Belle, you got through to the critters. No one bothered us when we were out last night. The word got to my critters quicker than I thought. I hope everyone is having a good week. Did you hear about our new Bronco's QB, Peyton Manning? And I was just getting used to that Tebow guy. Oh, and Delia, Mom was wondering if you would ever consider doing my portrait for her. I am one handsome dude you know. Have a great day all.
    Love & licks,
    Basil

  • Good morning girls,
What a view you have from Martha's studio. Just gorgeous. Next time you go to the office, I think you ought to have a board meeting to bring up a biscuit pay raise for all the extra work you do. I think it would be a unanimous decision in your favor.
Basil, are you happy that you have Peyton? I would be happy with his salary. hehehehehe
Delia should do a portrait of the Glue Squad. I bet that would be stunning. The girls could put it in their DW office. Then they could see our shining faces five days a week.
Rebel, let us know what your vet thinks of our note regarding your birthday. AND, here is your chance to have another celebration this year. Since this just became official, Mimi could have a Belated party for you. Kool, eh?
    Later Glue Squad,
    Maddox

  • Good Morning F & S

Loved the St. Patrick's Day photos from yesterday. I got no computer time mom was too busy.

I wish I could take another visit into the big city. I was there only once to visit your mom's show and I keep asking to go back. In fact I'd like to stay at the Plaza I know they allow pets GK stayed there. I'll have to work on mom.

So I think it's safe to say we made it through winter without any bad snow storms - YAHOO!!! Mom never used the snow blower even once. I didn't have to venture out into the white stuff to poop it was a wonderful winter.

Our pool will be open this week I'm so excited. That means lots of kids coming over to swim which equals kids and snacks :) I love to lay out on my chase lounge and listen to the waterfall while I soak up some rays - ahhhhh I can feel the warm sun on my cute body already :)

So F & S has Martha come up with any designs for sunglasses for pups? I could really use a nice pair of shades.

Well time to eat - enjoy this warm weather !!!

    Zoe

  • Hi Francesca and Sharkey! I took a break from my nap to investigate if mom had any breakfast to go along with that wonderful coffee but can't locate any. That building looks very tall. You are brave to look out the windows. Basil do you watch football on tv? I watch track and field and Red Sox baseball. Wonder what Kirby is doing today? Hello to Bart the handsome gentleman pug, Nicki and Kris. Looking forward to seeing more of G.K. soon back at his home. Love, Abby the frenchie pug

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
You two really like it in New York and get around very well. As for me, just give me the grass between my toes and a good ole tree to …, you have the idea. The side walks can really get hot and make it hard to walk on at times. The grass is always cool even if the tops are hot. How about that Peyton Manning a quarterback? I don’t recognize that breed; is it a new one? I think someone is pulling ole Kirby’s leg. The next thing you will be telling me is that there are “halfbacks” too. I’ve seen pictures of “silverbacks” but I wouldn't get too close. Nap time now before the heat arrives.
    Catch you later, Kirby

  • Uhhhhh...The Starrett Lehigh building a New York City landmark part of the West Chelsea Historic District...a beautiful building that was restored and is used. KUDOS! :-)
You girls sure get around...thanks for sharing!

Basil my dear, tell your mom I would Love to do a portrait for her...you can contact me for details through my link above (click delia)
Note: my website "art by delia" has been disabled for some reason :-( but I have tons of other sites to view my art.

Maddox that would be an undertaking that I might consider, if I ever get the time...

Yesterday was so warm that the Chippy living in the huge Rock Mound came out from Winter rest, tragically it was short lived as I found his lifeless body, Kitty's first hunt. I know I should not be sad, but I just don't like Kitty killing, there is no need. :-(

Glue Squad and friends...have a lovely day!

  • Good Morning Girls and GK,

I have never been to New York, but it looks like you girls had a great time. And on St. Patty's Day too.
I have been enjoying this weather. Mom had the landscapers come by the other day to plant more bushes so I don't jump too much on the fence :) and they put fresh mulch down. It was so much fun digging in it as soon as they left. Mom came out screaming as usual but it was all in fun. LOL
Well, I am going to doggie boot camp :( Mom says I am doing very well walking on my leash and sitting and staying, but I have a problem when people come in the yard. I tend to get a bit excited and jump on people. And in the house I like to jump too and sometimes nibble on feet. LOL Soooooo.... mom is sending me to Lily for 2 weeks. I sure am going to miss everyone but mom says it is going to help me in the long run. Whatever that means. LOL So I go on April 10. I hope Lily has computers so I can still blog with all my friends but if not mom will keep you all updated on my progress. I know Lily is going to take good care of me and teach me some manners. :)

Well, I hope everyone has a great day. Enjoy the sun :)

    Chloe xx

  • Hi Girl Friends &G.K.+Glue Squaders, You two beautiful girls sure must have had extra fun visiting Martha's fantastic office at the Starrett-Lehigh Building in New York City! I love Martha's mission statements on the wall of her office and you girls provide us us with all of those missions-thanks! How fun to see Martha and Patsy working! You girls sure had a nice place for a nap!! Hey Basis, Peyton Manning should be a great QB for your Broncos! Maddox, you sure do come up with great new ideas-Delia's portraits of the Glue Squaders would be terrific! Zoe, sure fun to hear from you again-sure wish we had nice warm weather, too! Hope everyone is doing well and have a great day! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • Good Morning Ladies,
What a great history lesson about your building. The mission statement was very inspiring. I love to look out the windows, but that high up?..I'm not so sure.
Oh, Maddox, that is a very BIG idea you came up with this time...a glue squad portrait...maybe is could be a collage? Glue would be needed to make the collage...glue the Glue Squad together. Then we could add new buddies, too!
Dr Becky came by our office & Mimi told her all about us & my b-day. She really thought we were great!
Hey Chloe & Lily, I love the new mulch, too. We will miss you while you're at "camp". You'll do just fine.
Basil, your Broncos are the talk of our house. We enjoyed Tebow last season, sorry to see him pushed out by one of the Manning boys. This is getting long winded. Can you even try to imagine how many hours our Moms would chit-chat in person?!? OMG
    Your Pal,
    Rebel

  • Hi, you all! Well, Dad got a hamster for my two legged brother. We are already firm friends. His name is Goldy~

    Nadia

  • Hi, Franny, Sharkey, G.K. & Glue Squad,
Wow! Not only did your St.Patrick's day look like way more fun than ours, you girls also got to help out at the office, AND meet lots of new pups! We don't know what Martha would do without you! And, G.K., you sure looked handsome in your green hat.
We agree with Zoe...the weather has been hot and sunny here(well, it rained a little bit today, but the sun came back), and we think sunglasses for us pups would be a great idea! Have fun with those kids and the pool, Zoe, hope you get lots of goodies!
Good to hear that Basil and Cora-Belle are doing well, and getting so much rest and relaxation. We also agree with Maddox-we think the entire Glue squad should get a biscuit raise for all the hard work we do keeping our people happy. But we think Sharkey and Franny should get the biggest raise, because you girls have so many jobs! We don't know how you keep up; we have trouble just staying ahead of the yard critters around here!
Speaking of which, Fergie is taking her squirrel patrol very seriously these days, and she thinks it's time to get back to work. Have a great day, everybody!

    Your pals,
    Lily, Fergie, and Zora

  • Looks like another fun day out for you two. It has to be so much fun visiting MommyM at work instead of having to wait for her to come home.

So Doggie Boot Camp huh Chloe? I bet you'll be the star of the camp.

  • wow..you frenchies are truly city doggies..like Kirby I like grass and dirt between my toes and possibly a couple of cows to heard around (being a cattledog)..this old rough and tumble country dog would be truly out of place in the city..but it is fun to see all the city doggers...Kit-bang salutes kitty for the first hunt of the season..she says that is what we kitties do..she thinks hummingbirds are delicous...naughty feline......we had a rescue dwarf hamster named Biggie Blueberry, what a funny little guy he was..I like all critters big and small...finally the sun is shining here in the Northwest..and James is off metal detecting..hope he finds some cool stuff...We should be so lucky to get a Manning..we have the Seattle Seahawks...WE don't have a pool..I just wade around the river and occasionally float downstream and jump out..but Lucinda says no more unsupervised swimming since I can't see...what a party pooper she is!..I don't go out without my long leash..she is araid I will tumble off the bank into the river...what is that old saying "I know my way around in the dark"! ...must eat a snack and go patrol the farm/ranch..over and out..Cora-belle

  • Hi Girls, GK & Glue Squad,

This is my first time for the "DW";and excited to be able to get come computer time to introduce myself. I'm only 5 1/2 months old and at the learning stages of my manners. Some days are better than others; but I can test the patience of Mom & Dad, just ask them!!Rebel, although Feb 23rd isn't my birthday, we do have something in common, that's the same day I flew in from TX to meet my new Mom & Dad and to live in my "forever home". My big brother, Keebler Chow passed very suddenly and I know Mom & Dad missed him very much. Chloe, don't feel bad about doggie boot camp,I'm starting training classes on Saturday; but first have a "D" appt in the morning; boy, will I be one busy & tired pup. Zoe, haven't tried the TP yet, but can carry shoes & slippers around the house until Mom catches me. She's no fun. Time to check the weather outside, really nice today in the NE

    Enjoy the day,
    Missy Chow

  • ..welcome, Missy the chow...you can not find a better bunch than all of the glue squad buddies..thur thick and thin!..Cora-belle

  • Hey there Missy Chow, welcome to the DW. Hope you become a regular. We have a couple other chows, Kirby Bear, myself and GK. Hope I haven't missed any others. This is the best group of friends you will ever have. Where is your forever home? You mentioned the NE so you had a nice long flight to get here.
Cora-Belle, you could start a critter tubing business. Rent out tubes and let the critters float down your river. That would be so refreshing on a hot day.
    Love to all,
    Maddox

  • Hey Missy Chow welcome to the Glue Squad. You'll have to send your picture in to the DW and also Dr. Pia, she likes to post our pictures.

Just heard about my cousin Chloe getting shipped off to boot camp - that is so mean!!!!!!! Wait till my mom talks to her sister I'm sure she'll give her an ear full. Poor Chloe :(

    Zoe

  • well, what to do about this hamster of Dad's. I love him, but he's getting wary of his cage. I can't believe there was actually such thing as a true escape-proof cage!

    Love,
    Nadiaaaaaaaaaaaa
