Hanging our Special Ornaments

Posted by F&S

On Martha’s blog today, she has shared many beautiful photos of our holiday décor at the farm.  Where we agree that everything is spectacular, a few very special ornaments were overlooked.

I love these shatterproof ornaments, don't you, Francesca? They're from Martha's Home Depot line.

Yes, I sure do, Sharkey. And I especially love these long candy cane icicles.

Yes, all of these ornaments are very nice, but I think this tree is missing something.

And I know exactly what it needs!

Now that is perfection!

Doesn't my face just look adorable hanging on the tree?

There's even a G.K. ornament for our champion! Sharkey, doesn't he look dashing in red?

Now that the tree is decorated, Franny, we can keep an eye out for Santa!

  • Hello Ladies,
What beautiful ornaments. Where in the world did Mama Martha get them? The 3 of you are captured so perfectly. I looked at Mama's blog and your home is breath taking. I thought we had a lot of trees with three, but you girls are in a castle it would seem. So beautiful. Well, Mom is done with craft shows for a while and she is pooped. She did well, but boy oh boy did I miss her over the weekend. Dad and I partied lots however. Now just 5 days until Santa so be good all. I hope Cora Belle you are resting. Santa will take good care of you and your family. How was everyone elses weekend? Are you all ready for Santa?Have a good Monday.
    Love & licks,
    Basil

  • Your special Christmas tree reminds me of 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears.' This tree is just right for the three of you. Why since it's so close to Christmas you may even share it with the cats.

I love your look-a-like ornaments. Whoever did them is very talented. I hope everyone had a lovely weekend and those who needed extra rest did so (you know who you are!!!)

  • Good morning girls,
What beautiful ornaments. I love the candy cane icicles. And the ornaments that are in the likeness of the three of you are spectacular. If I had that tree in my house, I would sit and look at it all day long, especially if there was an ornament that looked like me. hehehehehe
I hope everyone had a great weekend. We had beautiful weather. I guess I better write my list to Santa today. I hope he still has some presents left. I can only imagine what Zoe's list was like, 4 barbie dolls, three rolls of TP, etc.
    Enjoy the day Glue Squad,
    Maddox

  • Good Morning girls,
What cute ornaments. G.K. looks almost like you could feel his fur. Your house is just beautiful. I love our Christmas tree. All the ornaments on the bottom are wooden or stuffed. Mimi told me that their Sheltie, Sandy, liked to play with the cornhusk doll ornament........I thought of our friend Zoe...
We had Christmas with the family yesterday. What fun we had.
Have a great day, all (especially our Cora Belle)

  • Good Morning F & S

Your house looks so festive and I just love your special ornaments.

We have 2 trees in our house, one mom calls her Charlie Brown tree and the other is a really big live tree. In years past I have always chewed the lights at the bottom of the Charlie Brown tree but this year I haven't had the urge yet. Maybe I'm maturing or sick or something but so far no tree damage caused by the Zoe monster ;)

So I had a great weekend with mom we baked Saturday and Sunday. We had a very relaxing time, made all kinds of cookies, played Christmas music and then all hell broke loose when the cookie gun broke. Mom threw it in the trash, let out some good curse words and swore she was never making those stupid cookies again. Every year she says that and still makes those little cookies with the colored sprinkles.

Basil glad to hear your mom is all finished with her shows she must be exhausted. Maddox my list does include TP and Barbie Dolls plus lots of treats.

Well gotta go my breakfast is ready :)

  • Hi Girl Friends &G.K., I just love seeing what you two beautiful girls added to that lovely tree in the Brown Room in Martha's lovely home at Bedford farm! Those new ornaments of the three of you gorgeous friends of ours are fantastic!!! Did you girls make them? I'm sure you could have because you are very talented! Mom and I had fun viewing Martha's latest outstanding blog and you addition makes it perfectly complete! We had a nice weekend. Saturday was sunny and up to 56 degrees so Mom took me for a nice walk! Sunday was partly rainy so we went shopping at Costco and when the rain stopped I got to go for another nice walk because it wasn't too cold again! Sure hope everyone has another great day today! Take care and stay safe! I think about you all the time sweet Cora-Belle! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
As I read your posting this morning I was asking myself just why you didn’t have GK on your tree; and there he was in the next picture. Your trees look really good. It’s hard to believe that Zoe hasn’t chewed on her tree as of yet. I’ll bet she gives in and starts soon. My list to Santa doesn’t have TP on it. I don’t chew on things unless Mommy and Daddy say I can. I guess that’s why they often call me a “good boy.” I try to stay out of the “doghouse” as much as I can. Five days to go; wonder what will be my “sock” hanging by my bed?
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • What adorable ornaments of you guys!!! I did not put a tree up this year, just could get in the mood after being in Florida...maybe this will make the year longer in 2012...time just flies when you age ;(

I love painting ornaments, these are from a long time ago...wish I had taken photos of the dog and cat ones.
