On Martha’s blog today, she has many photos of the process of building a new greenhouse at the farm. You know that Martha has been working very hard and also traveling quite a bit and what she may not know is that we, Frenchies, were very helpful with the construction. Good thing we have these photos to prove it!
1 Come on Franny! Let's go help the gang build the new greenhouse! It looks like they've already put up the framing, but there's still so much to do!
2 We need to install the roller tube for the manual roll-up curtain. It goes right above the baseboards. Once the metal framework is complete, we can cover it with the polyethylene sheeting.
3 The poly sheeting will help retain heat to keep all of the tropical plants at the right temperature through the winter. Let's measure first to make sure we have the right size. I have this end, Francesca!
6 I'll make sure that every thing is level! This area was on a slope and I see that the excavator did a superb job at making it flat!
7 I'll grab this wrench to tighten all of the nuts and bolts! Then we can lay on the poly covering and attach the webbing straps to the bottom so the side curtains can be rolled up for venting.
8 Chhiring offered to help supervise me with the heavier equipment, like this sawzall, so I can work on cutting any aluminum tubing that is too long!

Hello Ladies,
Hard at work as usual. You amaze me all the time with your vast knowledge of everything. #11 is my favorite. Sharkey you are like the people in Titanic. Are you shouting out, "I'm queen of the world?" I bet the new plants are arriving on a regular basis and you two can be very proud that you helped build the greenhouse. My weekend went very fast. Dad was doing something with a water pump on his truck and Mom was cleaning her craft things. They are sure busy for Dad being retired. When will this retiring thing start? Happy Monday all.
Love & licks,
Basil

Good Morning F & S
That sure is a nice greenhouse and big! It's amazing how many plants Martha has in her blog it looked like it was filled.
Weekend is over they go by way to fast. I spent lots of time with mom and dad they were both sick all weekend, bad colds. I think it's because of this crazy weather one day 70 the next day snow - go figure. Mom made a big pot of chicken soup that they ate for 2 days. I don't understand how chicken soup makes you better but all these humans seem to eat it when they're sick. I was the nurse I sat on their laps and gave them lots of kisses.
Friday night we had some fun the Labs caught a opossum. Mom was calling us to come in and when none of us showed up she came out to find us with our little friend. It was playing dead or really was dead I'm not sure but dad used a snow shovel to put it over the fence. I'll tell you what that thing was UGLY. Then we all had to come in for a face and mouth wash
Well let me go check on Dad he needs to see the doctor today.
Zoe

Good morning girls,
Where do you get all your energy from? Go, go, go, that's all you know. Martha must be so proud of you on how you take on all those projects on the farm. Good job.
I helped Karen rake leaves all weekend and I hate to tell her but there are so many more leaves hanging on the neighbor's trees that are just waiting to blow into our yard. But, I had fun playing in them anyway.
Zoe, I hope your dad gets a good report at the doctor today.
Take care,
Maddox

Hello working ladies!
Gee, I sure could use you at our house. I know the workmen would enjoy having you two and me helping them! I'm sure you could teach me a few things...ha,ha.
Basil, it is amazing how busy folks get when they "retire".
Zoe..ewwwww, a possum? Major yuk factor there. By the way, are you a mouser too? The constuction has stirred a couple of the up at our house.
Karen & Maddox, leaf duty is what Papa was on yesterday, too. Very windy and the neighbors big Oak leaves were all over. I love to run through the leaves. They smell soooooo gooood.
Good day to all........your pal, Rebel

Hi girls!
Wow, what a great greenhouse. You girls really do get alot done. I hope we get our greenhouse done soon. Ours is alot smaller than y'all's. Today was a great squirrel chasing day. I am just learning how to tree them. I am a Parnell Carolina Cur and that is what we are brred and trained to do. My full size sister, Sookie, is showing me the ropes. The backyard is really bigband som
