Good, Sharkey. We're spending time out in the paddock today while new hay is laid in our stall in the stable.

Come on, Sharkey! Let's go help replace the hay! The bedding in the stalls needs to be replaced every few days, depending on how soiled it is.

That's it, Sharkey. We need to load the old hay onto this truck.

Let's make a nice pile because we've got more to load in here! Then we can cart it off to the compost pile.

Here we go, fresh hay!

I love a good hay bale, don't you Franny? Not only do the shape make them easy to store and transport, but it makes for a great pedestal for me as well!

I'll throw this bale in the wheelbarrow and then break it up so we can distribute it in the stalls.

  • Good Morning F & S

That must be a nasty job not to mention stinky. I hope you checked your paws good in case you walked in any poop - yuk.

Well your brother got lots of responses to his news Friday everyone thinks he'll be a great show dog. Mom and Dad were watching a show over the weekend Dogs 101. They talked about Frenchies and how we are great loving pets but can be difficult to train. I wanted to laugh out loud, I'm very smart and understand the commands I just choose to do what I want when I want - silly humans what do they know ;)

I didn't eat my breakfast this morning my tummy is a little upset. My buddy Nicole was here yesterday and we played in the yard all afternoon. I think I stole too many cheese curls :(

I'm going to take a nap and hope I feel better.....

    Zoe

  • Good morning girls,
You two are amazing. You are so willing to
pitch right in and help wherever needed. GK
should have helped you too. Get on him and
make him help with the chores.
I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Zoe,
I hope you feel better today. Besides the
cheese curls, did you happen to eat anything
else? Barbie Doll body parts, dad's slippers, toilet
    paper? Just checking.
    Love,
    Maddox

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
What a good weekend I had. Took walks, got to lay in the warm sun and plenty of naps. I hope everyone had a good weekend too. Zoe, your weekend sounded good too but lay off of the cheese curls. They will make you fat. Ok, so cleaning the stalls is a full time job when on a farm which has horses and donkeys. Just think of it a compost and things won’t seem so bad. I’d clean up after a donkey if I had one. But I’ll not have one because of where I live. Oh well, I’ll nap on that for a while.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Hi Girl Friends &G.K., You two sweethearts are the best helpers I've ever seen! You not only help your donkey friends, you help your handsome horses, sheep, chickens, and the human workers at Martha's farm whenever you can! I'm sure you will even help GK get ready for his Dog Show! Sure hope all of you are feeling better, especially worn out Cora Belle and tummy trouble Zoe and anyone else who wasn't feeling well. We had a fair weekend-got to walk again on Saturday with a little sunshine, but it was too cold and cloudy on Sunday. Supposed to be in the 60s today and tomorrow so hope to take more walks! Hope everyone has a great day today! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • These are 2 of the sweetest, cutest Frenchies I have ever seen!! I wonder if they know how lucky they are to be living such a carefree lifestyle?
I've been wanting s dog for so long.......but waiting till the time is right. Still on the fence which breed to choose from. But every time I see the incomparable face of a Frenchie, I'm 99% sure this is the one for me!!
So cute how this blog is written and commented on from their point of view! Lovc it!
Nice to meet you Francesca and Sharkey! oooohhhhhhh

  • Yippee! The bestest Monday, ever!

Hip Hip Hooray for some donk action!

  • wow..brings back memories..I used to help clean the pygmy goats house with Lucinda, it is very hard work. . a corn curl sounds yummy..caught up on my rest over the week-end and ready to go today..the sun is shining..I heard mention of craving some jack o'laterns for my coon and bird friends..that will be fun..then we are going to take the salmon net and catch a feral cat so it can go the vet and be nuetered...yikes my plate is full..so I better get going..later, cora-belle

  • Hello Ladies,
You are both the hardest workers and best helpers. I bet you will enjoy some lazy days in front of the fire soon when it snows though. T-bone next door got skunked recently, so Mom is watching me like a hawk when I am outside. I go in for my check-up on the 26th. Things are going pretty well, just a few issues, but overall good to report to the doctor. The craft show is over and was a huge success except in my book. I was locked upstairs in Mom and Dad's bedroom watching the Food Network all the time (you know they mention me a lot on that network) and now I am no more than a couple steps away from Mom at all times. We are getting back on schedule however. Have a Monday all.
    Love & licks,
    Basil

  • You guys use hay for bedding? it looks more like straw...my horses would have eaten themselves to oblivion if I had used hay for bedding.
F & S you guys are such helpful pups...I love the smell of horses and donks, better then cows ans pigs...

  • F & S how sweet of you two to help your buddies the donks with their bedding. I do think you should check your paws for well, you know what.
