Preparing for a Photo Shoot at the Greenhouse

Posted by F&S

We, Frenchies, were looking at Martha’s calendar and we noticed that there’s a photo shoot happening at the farm this week with Martha.  It said that it’s happening in the head house of the greenhouse and the housekeepers were instructed to make sure it was spic and span.  It’s hard to keep the head house clean because the gardeners are always working with so much potting soil.

Francesca, did you know that there's a photo shoot with Martha in the greenhouse this week? I hear the head house is being scrubbed clean. Let's go and inspect.

Everyone is hard at work cleaning the headhouse. Let's see if they pass muster. You know how particular Martha is.

That's right - mop, mop, mop! These cement floors need to be clean enough to pass my white paw test!

Maria has washed every single empty flower pot in the greenhouse. You just never know which pots Martha will choose and you have to be prepared for any event!

All of Martha's most favorite Guy Wolff pots have been arranged on the window sills. I think they look nice there.

I agree with you, Franny! Those pots do look wonderful up there. Now for some more inspection.

Sharkey, I'm not too sure about these cubbies. Their contents don't quite match up to the P-touch labels. Martha may have an issue with this. Perhaps we should rearrange.

OK, Franny. While you do that, I'll inspect Martha's greenhouse desk. Now this looks very neat and quite organized. No problems here. These old mail letter-sorting desks work great in here.

Sharkey, I turned on this fan to air out the room and help dry the floors. Let's go give our stamp of approval to Stephen Orr, the Editorial Director of the Garden Department who is heading this photo shoot!

Yes, Stephen, we are here to report that everything is spic and span for tomorrow's photo shoot. You can always count on us, Frenchies!

  • Good Morning F & S

Nice job on inspecting the head house but I have a question - if it's a greehouse wouldn't people expect to see a little potting soil on the floor or some dirt in a pot? From the way that place was cleaned you would think surgery was going to be performed in there!

I've been on a toilet paper mission this week, don't ask me why. Yesterday I got 2 rolls Dad left the bathroom doors open and boy was Mom pissed when she got home from work. I think she was more pissed at Dad for leaving the doors open than me, I sure do leave a mess but it's so much fun ;)

We got Dad his birthday present a new pair of slippers. Do you want to know why he needs new slippers???? I'll give you a hint it begins with a Z :)

It must be a full moon or something because I'm in a devilish mood ;)

  • Morning Girls,
Really, is there anything you can't do? I doubt it, you are so efficient. Good job. Question for you, just what is lazy bones GK doing while you two are attending to all these chores? Get on him to help you. As usual, I go back and check out comments from the previous post. I missed a lot, all about birthdays and poor Quigley. I am sorry about little Quigley Cora-Bell. I read that you are 15 years old. You go girl.......... And birthday wishes are in order for my little buddy Basil who will be 10 on the 3rd, Zoe's Dad, T-Bone, Kirby, and Rebel's Mimi. Did I miss anyone? OMG, Zoe, you crack me up.
Toilet paper? Your mamma should make a scrapbook of it called Zoe's Treasures and she could glue a Barbie Doll head in it and pieces of toilet paper, etc. She could put it out on display so everyone could see how creative you are. hehehehe
    Love you guys,
    Maddox
PS - Back home, had to go to vet yesterday for eye infection but all is well.

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
You two are really putting in a good effort cleaning up for the photo shoot. I know how much work goes into cleaning up. I have to do it all the time. Well, I should say that I have to help my Mommy clean. Zoe seems to be the one who makes the mess at her house. I, on the other hand, keep my house clean. What’s that Daddy? My nose is growing. Are you trying to say that is not a fact? Oh yeah, I guess I do mess things up at times; OK most of the time. But that’s what pets are for isn’t it? Maybe I had better stop and just take a nap. I’m getting myself into a hole here. I know when to stop digging.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Very clean and tidy...good job Francesca and Sharkey, Oh and Maria! :)

I have to wash the cement in the garage before winter, you girls are invited to help...he he

Happy Birthday to all the "fellow canine" here, and many, many more birthdays to come!

    ;) =^..^=

  • Hey Girls,
Great job. You a such hard workers!

I am having a great time with the squirrels in our yard. They are burying acorns allll over the place. Wish you all could come for a squirrel chasing party!
    Your pal,
    Rebel

  • "Housekeeping commanders take your post, prepare for inspection!" I can just see you two in hats striding through the greenhouse doing the "white paw" test. I agree with Zoe, a little bit of soil on the floor would give an "authentic look." Go ahead, get crazy spill a little.

Cora-bell, I am so sorry that your beloved pal Quigley passed away.

Happy Birthday to T-Bone and your Dad Zoe. Wouldn't it be great if there was a birthday tracker here on the DW.

  • Hello Ladies,
Before I say anything, I don't know how this escaped me, but it must have been a day I was napping, but Cora-bell, I am so sorry for your loss. Your pal Quigley will be missed. How are you are doing? I still miss Tasha and that was last August of 2010. They stay strong in our hearts and minds.

I am excited for this greenhouse episode of Martha. I do believe a little dirt should be in order. It will look more real then. Thanks for cleaning up girls. Where is that G.K. anyway when work is to be done is vanishes.

Now Miss Zoe, you certainly have been on a roll lately--toilet roll that is!!! LOL!!! I crack myself up. Get into a little more mischief for me, since I can't do so much of that anymore. Mom was baking her Pumpkin Banana dog biscuits this morning for her show coming up. She donates all the money from them to a different rescue each year. This year it is the Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue, in memory of Tasha. Only 23 days until Dad is retired. Mom and I can hardly wait. Big plans for rest on Dad's part I know after working these 60 hour weeks. Have a great Wednesday everyone.
    Love & licks,
    Basil
