Dealing Out The Dog Pack Oracle Cards

Posted by Sharkey

It’s been raining a lot lately and Francesca and I are scrambling to find indoor activities to keep us busy.  Looking around the house, I came upon an unusual deck of cards called, “The Dog Pack Oracle Cards.”  Apparently, you use them much the same way as Tarot cards.  Going through the deck, we discovered something was terribly wrong, but we, clever Frenchies, took care of the problem.  To see a video about how these cards work, click here.

Sharkey, what are all of these photo cards in front of you?

Why, Franny, The Dog Pack is a deck of cards with different dog breeds printed on them. It says that you use them like tarot cards to get advice. I thought it would be fun to play with them on a rainy day, like today.

There are many different dog breeds on these cards and each one has a different personality trait that's printed beneath the photo.

I found the card for Chow Chows. It says 'Independence' on it. That sure describes G.K.! He always marches to the beat of his own drummer!

You know that the Chow Chow breed is originally from China and that they were primarily raised for herding, hunting, and protection. They certainly are very loyal, but Chow Chows can also can be very, very stubborn!

Sharkey, I'm really anxious to find the French Bulldog card and see how they describe us! Where is it?

Franny, I can only find this one that says 'Bulldog.' This guy may be creative, but he doesn't look anything like us!

Hold on, Franny! Let me look through the table of contents in the instruction booklet. French Bulldog just has to be in here somewhere...

Wait...this can't be right...there's no French Bulldog in this deck! That's just not fair!

You silly Frenchies! Isn't Bulldog close enough?

No, G.K! It's not good enough! Frenchies are quite different!

12 No, G.K! It's not good enough! Frenchies are quite different!

For example, French Bulldogs are much more petit in size, compared with English or American Bulldogs. And Frenchies' ears are pointed and stand straight up as opposed to an English or American Bulldogs' smaller and floppy ears.

Francesca, we need to do something about this oversight! We'll just have to make our own card so that Frenchies everywhere can be represented!

  • Hello Ladies & G.K.,
All I have to say is thank goodness you girls got the no Frenchie representation in the deck solved. And of course the very accurate description. I think all canines, just not too many cats should have the superior intelligence description. I wish we would get rain. To be inside on a rainy day sounds like fun. Oh, I am back on track and no more being a brat about food. I have learned my lesson big time. I hope you all have a great day. I better get resting at my nap.
    Love & licks,
    Basil

  • Good Morning Girls

How can they have a deck of cards on dogs and not have a French Bulldog? I'm happy you took care of that problem and I would send that picture into maker of the cards and have them revise their deck. And SUPERIOR INTELLIGENCE is a prefect description on top of our beauty :)

Well last night was another loud night of rain and thunder. I was even scared with this storm. I slept under mom's arm with my head on her shoulder all night, I wasn't going anywhere. She tried to push me away a few times because I was snoring in her ear but I kept coming back. She looks a little tired this morning I don't think she slept well. Too bad I was scared and needed to snuggle.

Basil I'm happy to hear you got your act together. Enough with this being a brat and not eating do you want to end up in the hospital?

  • Good morning ladies,
That was very clever to make your own card for the French Bulldogs. I love Frenchies. Some of my best friends are Frenchies. When I was at shows and it was cold, some of them would come and lay against me cause I have such a big furry coat. I got hot after a while but it warmed them up so I was alright with it. Basil, Basil, Basil!!!! I hope you are straightened out again and I hope you stay that way. Besides making your mom worry so much, we worry about you too little buddy. Rain here again so it will be a good day for me to catch up on someof my favorite TV shows today. The only thing is I have to grab the remote when no one is looking, change the channel to my show and then hide the remote. No one knows how to change the channel by going to the tv to do it. hehehehe
    Later,
    Maddox

  • I agree with Basil and Zoe - 'Superior Intelligence" describes the French Bulldog perfectly. The depth of knowledge exhibited by Francesca and Sharkey in regard to such diverse subjects as botany and internal combustion engines is truly astounding. In fact, I haven't encountered another canine breed with such considerable mental talents and scope anywhere. They'd win canine "Jeopardy" anyday. Bye!

  • Hi I'm the dog of one of the author's of the Dog Pack Oracle Cards. I want to let all of you know that we did not forget about the cute intelligent frenchies, they're in the second deck soon to be published. 44 more beautiful dogs soon to be out. Although I still think standard poodles are the most intelligent. We'll have to agree to disagree. LOL.

  • Hi Girl Friends &G.K., Thank you, thank you, thank you for finally having handsome G.K. back in your blog post again! Wow, G.K. you are getting bigger everytime we get to see you and you not only remind me of handsome Maddox, but handsome Paw Paw, too!!! Hey F.&S., those dog cards are very interesting and not having a card of French Bulldogs is unforgivable. I am so glad you decided to add that fantastic photo of you two extremely intelligent Frenchies to those cards! Sure hope the card maker adds that beautiful card! Sure happy to hear that all of you friends are doing pretty well and I hope you all have a terrific day today! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • You poor little Frenchie's, to be overlooked!! :(

  • Hi Girlfriends!
I just love your card! What a couple of cutie pies. My Mimi loves the picture, too!
We have a great, sunny, cool day here. I'll be out on the deck in the sun.
Hey Basil, glad you've decided to eat your "good-for-you" food. Be good and stay well.....
Maddox, good luck hiding the remote...It took Mimi a long time to find the buttons on our new TV. They are little tiny and on the side.
    Til tomorrow,
    Rebel

  • Oh what a great idea! Wouldn't eveyone like to know what your dog wants you to know? I'm ordering a pack! I love the pictures of the dog cards and calm down ladies the Frenchies are in the next pack.

  • I'm one of the creators of the Dog Pack Oracle Cards and I've had several questions on how to purchase the cards. You can go to http://www.healingdogsisters.com and purchase. We love Frenchies and they are definetly in our next set of Dog Pack Oracle cards. Part of our proceeds go to help dogs since they are our very best friends. Thanks again to Martha for having such fun with her beautiful frenchies!! Whats not to love. Laure

  • As a dog lover myself, I absolutely loved these cards! I had a get together recently and tried them out on everyone. They were a hit! Everyone loved them! Can't wait for the second pack!

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
Checking out card games are you? The next thing you will be doing is playing poker and have paintings made. I can see it all now, two Frenchies and one beautiful Chow Chow with a large stack of chips in front of him. You could add some cats who have lost all of their poker chips and are frowning. Cat’s do that a lot you know. I could be included for a small fee. (he, he, he) Just think of all the other animals you could include later on: horses, donkeys and chickens for starters.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • ...do not feel bad frenchies..australian cattle dogs never get any press..guess people think we are too unrefined..but the rototiller and I just roll with it!..we know cattle dogs and frenchies RULE! and of course all the rest of our dog pals that don't get on a card are super special. too.

  • Deal me in Sharkey, Shibas are high and Westies are wild! I see your Chow Chow and raise you two Frenchies!!!!!

Nice to know that the French Bulldog will be included in the second set but I don't see how it could top that great photo of the two of you. Hi GK!!!!!

  • Great article! I also take my clues from our pet TickleMe Plant. The Pet TickleMe Plant is the only plant that Moves like an animal when you Tickle It!
The leaves fold together and even the branches droop when Tickled! It always makes me smile each time I tickle my plant. At night it closes up on its own as it winds down and goes to sleep. In the morning it wakes up and opens its leaves with the rising of the sun. The TickleMe Plant is a very sensitive plant.
