Kitchen Surveillance

Posted by Francesca

Dear Daily Waggers,
We want to thank you all for reading and enjoying our blog.  Those who help us post it are taking a little rest this week and we decided to run a few from the past.  We’ll be back soon!

There have been some strange things going on in our kitchen lately.  Martha’s been complaining that someone has been fiddling with her computers.  And, the kitchen walkie-talkie that Martha uses to communicate with property workers is always on the wrong channel, leading to a lot of confusion.  Wouldn’t you know it, Sharkey and I are getting the blame!  But, we have a strong suspicion of who the guilty ones are, so we came up with an ingenious plan.

Sharkey, I know there is something we can do to reveal the true nature of these beasts.. umm.. I mean kitties!

Sharkey, let's put our heads together on this one. You know what they say - two heads are better than one.

Francesca, how about using several flip cam's for our little operation?

Wow Sharkey! Great Idea! Now is our chance to set this up, I don't see those little saboteurs around anywhere.

Camera placement is essential. Hiding one in this molcajete will give us a great view of the walkie-talkie station.

And just to be sure, let's hide a camera amongst the fresh eggs - a brilliant spot!

This one placed here will give us a direct line at Martha's desk.

And what do we do about G.K? He could blow this whole operation.

Franny, I don't think G.K. is going to budge one inch - I wouldn't worry about him.

Quick, I hear those rascal cats approaching! Let's pretend we're asleep! I hope you turned all the cameras on Sharkey. I can't wait to see the footage!
TO BE CONITNUED.....

  • The plot thickens! I've been waiting for something like this. Now that your webisodes are a smash hit, I think it's time the three of you branch out into even bigger adventures. Maybe your own doggie forensic show hmmm?

Talk to me I've got ideas.

  • Good work girls I'm sure you'll catch those furballs in action. Now why would Martha blame the two of you she knows you can't jump up on the counter but those furballs can. Can't wait to see what you capture on your flip cam. I can see it now "F & S Private Investigators"

Today is dad's birthday mom said he is older than dirt. Precious and I just placed his birthday cards where he eats his breakfast, T-Bone and Sophie are out chasing something in the yard mom is trying to get them inside so they don't wake the neighbors. We decided for his birthday gift we would all be good today, no toilet paper chewing or barking at critters in the yard we'll give him a peaceful day :) Sounds boring as hell but what the heck it only comes around once a year I can behave for 24 hours.

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
Ah, a good mystery; I just love them. Your snooping around and setting up the cameras will surely catch the one, or ones, which are responsible for the confusion. I’ll put my money on those pesky cats roaming around in the kitchen. There is a “person” who likes to mess with our mailbox. Daddy set up a camera to catch him, or her, which can watch the mailbox 24/7. Guess what? The word got around to the suspect and the mailbox hasn’t been bothered since. Just getting the word out to the “person” sure changed things without having to take pictures. I told daddy that I would take care of the problem, but he told me his way was better. I think a good bite on the butt would do wonders.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Hey pups, I would live to hire your service...some critter is coming and sleeping in my Kitty's bed and she is afraid to come home at nights...we bought a camera and mounted it, but have not seen anything yet..although Kitty still smells the area like someone has been there.
F & S bet you're going to blame the Gato's!!! This will be interesting indeed...hmmm, who could it be!

  • Woohoo! Huzzah Huzzah! I can't wait! Get those feline paws off the pc's! Way to go, F&S!

  • Hello Ladies,
This is the perfect thing to catch the goofy furballs. Mama Martha shouldn't be getting mad at you girls. You are as close to perfect as it gets. Those furballs will get their due. Anxiously awaiting the film footage on the furballs.

    Love & licks,
    Basil

  • hey girls Rocky here ,catch the kitties! We always get blamed for barking at ours ,but mom doesn't see them teasing us. your friend Rocky

  • Hi Girl Friends &G.K., Hum, what a fascinating blog you did today. Your photos are fantastic and all 3 of you look very intelligent! I love mysteries and will be waiting anxiously to see your outcome on this one. Do you think it's the little kitties that are doing this? Could be because they are the only animals in your home who can jump up on things. Or maybe a squirrel got inside. Or maybe since it's close to Halloween, it could be a ghost, vampire, etc. Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • Oh! That's fun, the pictures are great and I definitely think it's the kitties! Mine collect things and hide them under the bed! Thanks for the big smile today :)

  • The French and English bulldog crew is anticipating the outcome! Moses, Rufus, and the rest of the bully crew (including all the new puppies) will be watching. As bullies, we support our bully pals Franny and Sharkey. Bulldogs rule.

  • F&S are a modern day Sherlock Holmes and Watson!

Can't wait to see the 'cat'prits..oh I mean culprits!

    Love you both!! :)

  • This is a great way to use all those pictures we snap of our critters. I actually did a similar project when dog-sitting someone's 4-pound Yorkie for a week. I took dozens of photos of the Yorkie, my border collie and two cats. I then created a slide show detailing what the Yorkie did on his "vacation." Trying to write a story to go with the pictures was both fun and challenging. I gave a copy of it to the Yorkie's owners when they picked him up so they could see what their little dog was up to while they were on vacation.

  • Such cute little dogs.

  • Still a great story and darling photos...love your head-budding and GK on the floor photo...sooo cute!

  • Hi Girl Friends &G.K., Thank you so much for reposting these last 4 prior blogs! I love seeing your Daily Wag every day and it's also fun to see your reposting! Once again, these photos were superb and your comments were terrific! It's really fun to see how you discover problems at the farm so Martha won't blame you for them! I also love seeing all three of you in every blog, if possible! Hope everyone has a great weekend and hope to see you next Momday! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • Frannie,

Privacy on display! Typical of these days and times. Hope you corner, catch and crush the Perps! I don't think it's the kitties...the only hacking their concerned with has to do with hairballs! Good luck with your mission, should you choose to accept it...impossible! Have a good weekend everybody!

  • ....I, too, have a camera at the end of my drive-way...and lynx, elk, coyotes, raccoon and deer are all snooping about...it keeps me busy..oh, forgot..we see bob-cat...hope you are enjoying your vacation!
