Window Washing at the Tenant House

Posted by Francesca

We were driving with Uncle Carlos going past the tenant house when I remembered hearing something about washing the windows of that building.  Washing windows is loads of fun, especially when I sit back and watch Sharkey do all the work!

Uncle Carlos! We were told that they're washing the windows in the tenant house and I think we should go and see if they need some help.

Be careful with that ladder Carlos, we don't want to damage the leaves of any of Martha's plants!

Carlos! Very funny! You know that I'm not particularly fond of heights! Why not let me focus on windows that I can reach without a ladder?

It's important to use a good repetitive and uniform motion when cleaning glass to avoid making streaks.

You're right, Franny! That really does the trick!

I can see you perfectly through the glass, Sharkey! It's crystal clear!

Sharkey, you assist Fernando out there, but be sure to use Martha Stewart Clean Glass & Mirror Cleaner to get the best results!

  • Good Morning Girls

Window cleaning YUK. Mom has some guy come to our house to do the windows in fact he is scheduled to come next week. Us dogs bark at him the entire time he is here we don't care for him too much.

Mom and Dad are very worried about Precious. It seems she is having a problem with her pee pee. Last night we were all sitting out on the deck have a wonderful evening and she just lays there and next thing you know a big puddle is under her. It happened twice, Mom was freaking out. Dad said it happened a few days ago also. I'm sure she is going to see Dr. Keefe today. I hope it's nothing serious, she is my favorite sister.

Basil and Kirby I'm still sending Frenchie kisses your way hope you are both feeling a little better. Basil - I need your email address so I can send you a picture of me that will put a big smile on your face ;)

    Have a great day everyone.

    Zoe

  • You girls are so energetic. You could just lay around if you wanted to but you help with all sorts of things at the farm. You both get an A+ in my book.
So glad to hear that our buddy Basil is getting better. It is an uphill battle but he is a trooper and he knows we all love him and we are his support team. Zoe, I am sorry to hear about your friend Precious. I hope it is something minor. Since the fire/explosion over two years ago at our place, my mom just hates it when any animal is sick. It makes her very sad. So, you guys who are sick better get healthy soon so my mom will feel better too.
Beautiful day today. I am going to watch the bunnies and chipmunks. Enjoy the day.

  • Hello Ladies,
This is Basil's Mom, Lynn again, checking in on his behalf.Sharkey, you certainly are a very hard worker on windows. We hate cleaning them at our house. Zoe's Mom has the right idea to hire it done. Zoe, I don't know how to send Basil's e-mail since it isn't allowed in our blog. Just tell me. Basil has taken a turn for the worse, and a call is in to his doctor already to see about doing the endoscopy ASAP. I will keep everyone posted. Keep those Frenchie kisses and talks to God coming. Basil needs all we can give him now.
    Hugs from Lynn

  • Hi Girl Friends &G.K., First of all, I need to talk to Dear God again this morning-Please continue to take good care of Sweet Basil who needs your help even more today. Now F.S.&G.K., this was a really fun blog posting about Sharkey helping Fernando wash the windows on the Tenant House there at Martha's farm! • Hi everybody!
I'm home, I'm home, I'm home!!!! The girls at my vets take very good care of me, including a daily nature walk, but, there's no place like home!
Wow F & S, washing windows? I use my nose & tongue. Mimi then helps me finish the job.
Zoe, I had pee pee problems last year. I had accidents in the kitchen. It was a bladder infection, an easy fix. I'll be thinking of your sister Precious today.
Maddox, sounds like you have a great day going! We had some firecrackers in our neighborhood that scared me last night. I try to be brave, but they hurt the ears!
Lynn, I am so sorry that Basil is not better. I was thinking of him this weekend. Here are some little Chihuahua kisses for you both.
    Til tomorrow friends,
    Rebel

  • Hey, can you two pups come and do my windows? While gone on my Kansas trip there was a lot of rain and the house windows are all dirty again...

OK, now I have to go back and read what I have missed here ;)

  • Hi Francesca and Sharkey , My Mom used to have Sweetie the sweetest frenchie rescued from the craziest batch of hounds in L.A. Now she has an Itty Bitty Pretty Pitty Me: Anya , whom she rescued from Animal Care and Control of New York.
I am a slight of build brindle , I guess I was a throw away mamma . I had puppies as a child bride but as soon as they were old enough to be sold the old people who had me let me go in the city. I was almost Put to sleep for eating my food to fast, I was hungry.. Today some of my friends are in the same predicament , please have a look and see if you might be able to save a furever friend. The very best one ever!!!

    Thanks XO Anya

  • Can't say that window washing is my favorite thing to do no matter how important it is and how pretty the windows look. Sharkey you did an exceptional job really putting your paws into it. Francesca you are definitely the Queen. GK, you just keep on looking handsome.

Basil, I continue to pray for your good health. Lynn try to stay strong and know that we are here for you. Zoe, I hope your sister Precious is feeling better and a trip to the vet will make her better. Good to see you again Rebel, glad you had a good time. K. Bear keep it cool for the hot spots! Everyone else stay well and have a good day!

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
I’m late today, but I did make it online this afternoon. I’m doing fine now that I’ve stopped with all the scratching and biting on myself. I don’t like that “lampshade” at all. I have to put it on every night. I feel like some sort of clown who has lost his circus. Mommy and Daddy were up almost all of last night and didn’t get out of bed until after 10 this morning. I do have one question to ask GK. I saw you arriving to do the windows but didn’t see you doing any work at all. Now don’t give us “Chows” a bad name GK.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Hi Raven baby,
For some reason I can never look at all of the pictures so I didn't get a chance to see the whole story you wrote. Did your Uncle Carlos let you chase the water out of the hose for a while while you were supervising the window washing? That's something I really like to do. Not that I've ever lived anyplace where the Moms washed windows, but NewMom has flowers she waters.
I am sorry to hear that Basil is not doing well and hope for the best for you. I haven't been around here much because NewMom has been really busy working on some projects to help make money for the group she volunteers for, French Bulldog Rescue Network.

  • That sure was a LOT of work girls but looks like you did a great job!

    woos, Tessa
