Well, Easter came and went and we certainly had a really great time! We, Frenchies, love all of the festivities, with the exception of those bunny ears, of course. Speaking of bunnies! – Martha gave us a very interesting job the other day. Take a look at this.
2 This giant chocolate Easter bunny from Conrad's Confectionery http://conradsconfectionery.com/, was used as holiday decor, and needed to find its next life - perhaps even a more useful one.
5 Martha told me to use this French rolling pin, or baton, for this task. A very appropriate tool for a French bulldog, no?
6 But, first, I shall remove this pretty double-faced satin ribbon. Martha likes to reuse all of her beautiful ribbons.
7 Alright, Bunny! Off with your head! Francesca, I know this is hard to watch, but the worst part is over.
9 Think of all of the pleasures this chocolate will bring when it's melted down and used for dipping ripe, sweet strawberries, or made into chips for mint chocolate chip ice cream!

Good morning girls. Just think of this as another job where you will get rewatded with something that you can eat at some point. When you help to plant trees, you don't eat them or at least you are not supposed to eat them. But I am sure when you are done with the tree planting project that you get some kind of special treat for helping out as much as you do. This is the same thing. Even though you can't eat the chocolate bunny, you did a good job of smashing him to bits. You did your job so go demand some treats now. Act like you are really upset for whacking the heck out of Bunny, maybe you will get more treats than usual. (smile)

Good Morning Girls
Good thing you didn't sample any of the chocolate you would have been really sick. Sophie got really sick once, she stole a lot of fudge off the kitchen counter and boy did she hurl! The doctor said good thing she did or she might have died, dumb Lab she should have known better.
My mom got up late this morning she was "pooped" from working so hard in the yard this weekend. I had a wonderful time laying on the deck in the warm sunshine, I didn't help at all
All the flowers look so pretty she did a great job.
Well my breakfast is finally ready - time to eat

Oh my goodness what a job for two Frenchies! I could not have done it, because I would have eaten the whole thing...Yummy!

Whoa, Sharkey, you did a fine job wielding that bat against the chocolate! Is there a Bat Club for Frenchies? You are the Batwoman!

Hello Ladies,
I am glad you finally got into the spirit of things Francesca. Sharkey was working very hard. I am like Maddox, you should get rewarded for your hard labors with your special kind of treats. Also, I see that Mama Martha's 6th season on the air is wrapped up. You will get to see her lots more probably now. Tell her to have the heads of the Craft Dept. do a craft show. Mom and I love crafts--that is our favorite part of the shows. Have a great Monday.
Love & licks,
Basil

Hi Girl Friends &G.K., You girls sure do terrific jobs to help Martha with whatever she asks you to do. Sharkey, you seem to be the bravest one who was able to smash that huge chocolate bunny so it could be used to make new items. That French rolling pin was the perfect tool to use for the complete smashing and the job was well done!! I'm so glad you didn't eat any of that chocolate bunny and that you reminded us how dangerous it could be to eat it. Hope you got a good, safe treat after that job! Say hi to G.K. for me! Hope everyone is healthy and has a great day again today! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

Easter - It was the best of times. After Easter - It was the worst of times. Franny, maybe GK could have held your little paw during this traumatic ordeal. Sharkey, not many Bunny-cutioner's would be as thoughtful as you were in photo #3.
Bunny's last words: " It's a far, far better thing I do than I have ever done. It's a far, far better rest I go to than I have ever known." (clearly channeling Sidney Carton

Hello ladies, Kirby here.
I overheard Mommy and Daddy’s grandchildren singing about this little bunny hopping through the woods scoping up some mice and smashing them on the heads. I guess the tables are turned now and the bunny is the one which is getting smashed. Daddy has always said that what goes around, comes around; guess he is right. It’s afternoon now and I am late with my checking in and reading my “fan” mail. I now will have to do a little work outside. That’s better than a bath any day.
Catch you later, Kirby.
