1 Boots: "Minnow! Welcome. I've been so eager to meet you! You are such a little thing!" Minnow: "Boots! I've heard such great things about you and your 3 legs! You are an inspiration to all of us Chi's!"

2 We were visiting my dear friends Phoebe Brown and Jacki Gould AKA PB & J.

3 Boots is only one of the many fortunate souls who live under the PB and J roof.

4 Phoebe and Jackie got Ms. Boots Malloy through their favorite rescue group, Atlanta Pet Rescue and Adoption.(See link at end of post.)

5 As you can see, they are huge adoption advocates and have a wonderful family of critters as a result!

6 There is no shortage of love in this home, and there is evidence of it in every nook and cranny.

7 The very gentlemanly Conner was previously adopted and then returned to the shelter because his new person felt he was "too calm!" Apparently they just wanted a guard dog, while Conner here wanted a family to call his own.

8 Thankfully Phoebe and Jackie stepped up and offered Connor another chance. Now he is part of the family of his dreams!

9 Connor and this playful redhead, Nellie, fell in love immediately. They roll on the floor together and cuddle for hours each night.

10 PB and J adopted Nellie when her time at the shelter had run out. They decided to name her Nellie Oleson after the character in Little House on the Prairie.

11 Minnow and Boots had so much fun together. The first night we were there they stayed up late planning what to do.

12 First, they went shopping. Boots: "Oooh Minnow, what do you think of this crown on me?"

13 Minnow: "It's fabulous! Can I try it on?"

14 While Minnow loved Boots's crown, she settled on a more understated version. After all, she did not want to steal the spotlight from her gracious hostess.

15 They tried on various outfits as Chis are wont to do. Boots: "Minnow, does this sweatshirt make me look fat?"

16 Minnow: "Boots, what do you think of this? Too much?"

17 Boots and Minnow were inseparable! They talked and giggled for hours and hours on end.

18 Only occasionally would Boots and Minnow stop chatting to acknowledge Boots's other rescued siblings who tirelessly tried to get the attention of the Chi girls.

19 Nellie Oleson was beginning to feel left out!

20 Sweet Mr. Teddy here is the house elder and is too wise to need others to keep himself entertained. This pink stuffed mouse will do just fine!

21 The mellow Mr. Connor was happy to receive this fleece toy made by yours truly.

22 Gilda Radner here did the rounds to make sure everyone was behaving and playing nice!

23 Gilda offered Nellie Oleson reassurance and love when the Chis were ignoring her bids to play.

24 Even though Jackie and Phoebe have whimsical stuff like this around, everyone is considered a good critter in their household!

25 We even discovered some things in the house that said "Minnow" on them.

26 Another "Minnow" item!

27 Phoebe collects mermaids, so they were everywhere!

28 There was even one underfoot in the garden.

29 Even the switch plate had a mermaid on it.

30 Not only were there mermaid collectibles around, but lots of Chihuahua ones, too!

31 This metal Chi sculpture was so well behaved.

32 And then there were tributes to some special Chis that had passed on. This was Josie. What a love!

33 And Cocoa was quite a character. She is missed each and every day.

34 Clearly Phoebe and Jackie believe strongly in the above quote!

35 Like Martha, Phoebe and Jackie also love chow chows. This is Abraham in his glory days.

36 Jackie and Phoebe love pretty much all breeds and species.

37 That includes cats...

38 ...and owls...

39 ...And pigs...

40 ..and more pigs!

41 Monkeys, too!

42 Pretty much everywhere you look in this house is a happy critter of some sort.

43 Even the birds love to visit.

44 And there is no shortage of toys to play with.

45 But sometimes just relaxing in a sunny window and taking in the sights is all a pooch really wants!

46 Wait a minute....who took this picture? Minnow? Boots? Did you steal my camera?

47 We had such a fun time gallivanting about town!

48 Constantly out and about and on the go.

49 We even got to meet some other local Atlanta dogs. They say funny stuff like "y'all" and "fixin'"

50 But then our adventure came to a close. It was a teary goodbye at the airport. Minnow and her new friend Boots promised to stay in touch and be pen pals!
