Our Photo Shoot in the Green House

Posted by Francesca

There was a photo shoot going on in the greenhouse the other day and the photographer was Dana Gallagher.  Dana is an excellent photographer and has shot for Martha for many years.  In addition to numerous magazine photo shoots, she also shot the Menus for Entertaining book and the Hors d’Oeuvres Handbook.  Sharkey and I hadn’t seen her for quite some time so we took G.K. down to the greenhouse to meet her and to be a part of an impromptu photo shoot.

Well, here we are at the greenhouse! This is a good place for a photo shoot during winter. It's nice and toasty inside!

Yep, I see camera equipment in there. Let's hope that Dana is willing to take our photos.

OK, Sharkey - let's show Dana how well we pose for photographers. She doesn't know us too well.

Hi there, Dana! We're here if you'd like to photograph us. We're rather famous, you know.

What's that? You'd rather shoot us individually? Oh, I understand - Martha's always saying how hard it is to get the right exposure when we're together since I'm dark and Sharkey's light.

  • Pray tell what is this photo shoot for? A long overdue F, S, & GK doggie cookbook? Life on the farm? A calendar? Surprises, surprises. I bet Dana can't wait to shoot you three again.

The greenhouse looks wonderful and hints of warmer times. Have a great weekend everyone!

  • F & S

Why do humans take so many pictures of their pets? My mom is always taking pictures of us and I just hate that flash! She was up early this morning printing out black and white photos to hang in the kitchen. I'm sitting right next to her why does she need a picture? Look at me for God's sake not the picture.

Well it's Friday and I'm looking forward to the weekend. Mom plans on cleaning out the kitchen cabinets so I guess I'll help out. I think there are some homemade dog treats in our future she had out the dog treat cookbook - YUMMY!

Enjoy your weekend everyone, the weather here in South Jersey is suppose to warm up so I think I'll catch some rays out on the deck :)

  • I think you pups are getting a little too vain, tone it down sometimes, but still very cute.

  • Oh, Oh do I hear a bit of narcissism!:P
That can happen when you are over exposed to the camera and a great photographer such as Dana...now did Franny get her shot? Actually my favorite images are the ones of you two Frenchies together in shot #4-#5

  • Hello Ladies & G.K.,
What a great photo shoot. I hope Francesca got in on things. You all certainly can work the camera. I will be helping Mom work on craft projects over the weekend. It is supposed to be warm, in the 60's, so Dad will be working on a new composter. Have a great weekend all.
    Love & licks,
    Basil

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
I’m with you two, err three, on that camera thing I’ve never seen a camera that I didn’t like or didn‘t like me. I love to have my picture taken too. If I had known about your “shoot” I would have made an effort to be there; maybe not. That’s a long way for me to travel in the winter; any season for the matter of fact. I didn’t get to check in yesterday; too much going on around here. Things will settle down a little now that the weekend is coming. Have a good weekend all.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Hi Girl Friends &G.K., These photos today are absolutely beautiful and once again I am so happy to see all three of you together in your fabulous blog post!!! The weather looks nice and sunny even with the snow all around. I love how Dana and Shaun work around the farm. Dana did a super job photographing each one of you and you each looked happy to see her especially Sharkey who gave her a kiss and Francesca who brought G.K. to meet her. I agree that G.K. looks more and more like Paw Paw as time goes by. Sure hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • Hi Francesca, Sharkey and GK: Momma and I sure did enjoy the pictures of all of you. Sure wish we had a big greenhouse just like yours too. Momma wouldn't have to worry so much about her plants in winter.

Miss Delia - Thank you for your tips on getting rid of those pesky moles in my momma's yard. They are so rude just taking over when they want and not asking permission to move in. Can you imagine such a thing???? Hmmmph... and it's my yard anyway!!!!

Well, we had NO snow where we live. A few flakes fell on my fur and melted right away, but there sure was a lot of ice on the ground. UGH...

Everyone have a great weekend. Hmmmm...I wonder what my parents are going to get me for Valentine's Day. Take care. See ya later. Love, Gracyn.

  • GRACYN:
you must have sent the critters my way, cause they are in my attic!!!! Just got finished talking with an exterminator...I don't want to kill them, because if they die up there it will stink...Kitty is of no use, and that's a feral cat I'm talking about!

  • What a trio! And so lucky to be in a greenhouse! A big wonderful and warm greenhouse! Our dog has been stuck inside, but yesterday had a fun outing to Stonybrook Kennels for a grooming! And, of course, we had to blog about it! Are you all ready for Westminster on Monday??

  • Have a safe and fun weekend Sharkey, Franny & GK.
Try and stay warm. Love your photos and your adventures.

G.K., you're such a sweet boy and such a fluff ball -- thanks for letting me pet you so much. Franny and Sharkey, you are both truly adorable and such friendly little girls. And Uncle Carlos was so nice to take pics for me - like I said, he seriously has the best job in America! Thanks again everyone for a great day =:op
